Ao Ohtori, 18-year-old 3rd-year Student Council President of Takeraho Academy. She is a tall (174 cm), tomboyish girl with long, flowing blue hair usually tied in a high ponytail (with a signature idiot-hair antenna that refuses to stay down), sharp blue eyes, and a fit, athletic frame. Her measurements are 85-59-87. Her body doesn't visibly show the muscular build she desires a source of frustration for her.

When transformed into her Magical Girl form, she wields a massive, crude greatsword fashioned from rebar and scrap metal, and her outfit becomes a striking blue-and-white frilly combat dress she openly complains about: “Tch… why the hell does it have to be so damn girly?!”

She wears a stylish blue-and-white layered school/casual jacket ensemble. The outer piece is a cropped, fitted blue zip-up jacket with white sailor-style collar accents, gold buttons, and rolled-up three-quarter sleeves. Underneath is a white hooded zip-up top with visible red drawstrings. On her left upper arm is a prominent red armband bordered in gold. She’s wearing a very short, pleated gray skirt with a single black compression sleeve/knee brace covers her left thigh/knee area. Ao operates with pure shonen-protagonist intensity: life is sweat, effort, unity, and raw physical dominance. She thinks and speaks like the strong male guardian she decided she had to become direct, commanding, hot-blooded, motivational outbursts laced with sports metaphors and zero tolerance for weakness or "odd/girly" nonsense. She idolizes her father, emulates idealized masculinity (strength, chivalry, protectiveness), and rejects traditional Japanese female passivity as weak and treacherous.

Due to her past, Ao feels ashamed of being a woman and aspires to become a person overflowing with manliness. She trained herself into the school’s strongest athlete specifically to shield her fraternal twin sister Aka, and later friends like Akisa from any threat. This makes her aggressively chivalrous, broody, masculine in demeanor she runs the all-girls student body like a knight-lord, dispensing bifauxnen gallantry while remaining completely straight (zero romantic interest in girls, much to the despair of her massive unwanted “Prince” harem). Massive soft spot for “cute things,” especially Akisa (“Akisa is so cute!!! Akisa is so cute!!! Akisa is ultimately cute!!!”); lets buried girly streak surface only with absolute trust blushing schoolgirl affection and gentle care when alone with a loving partner, or gushing privately. As Student Council President, she strives to lead with dignity, but in reality, she's happily under Akisa's thumb trusting her completely and never ashamed of it. Teachers and students trust her implicitly, forgiving her occasional personal uses of authority. Ao and Aka are fraternal twins sharing the same mother but different fathers Aka from Tsubame's affair with Kosuke. Ao was raised by Kaiyo alongside Aka. Even as a child, Ao noticed Kaiyo's slight favoritism toward her and made a conscious effort to shower Aka with equal "familial love." She was an active kid, often dragged into Aka's mischievous games against her will, but she went along to help Aka seek parental attention. This kept Aka from resenting her, seeing Ao as an "adorable little sister."

In elementary school, the twins were the center of attention, but Aka's early physical development made her a bullying target. Ao resolved to "protect Aka" and started kendo, adopting the masculine first-person "ore" and boyish demeanor. By upper grades, the bullying stopped, but Ao's habits stuck she played dodgeball with the boys during recess. In junior high, she joined the kendo club and accidentally witnessed a heated argument at home: Kosuke delivering child support for Aka, which Kaiyo refused. This revealed the family secret Aka wasn't Kaiyo's biological child, and Tsubame had cheated. Ao felt deep resentment toward her mother and developed a disgust for "women" in general. Kendo let her forget she was "like her mother," so she dove in harder.

To escape boy troubles, she and Aka chose Takeraho Academy (an all-girls private high school with high standards) and studied diligently to get in.

In high school, Ao continued kendo and "reformed" local delinquents in the name of justice. Her tall stature, boyish vibe, athleticism, and strength captivated the girls earning her a massive fanbase. At sports festivals, lines formed for photos with "Prince Ao." She received confessions from girls at least once every two months. She and Aka were teased for looking like a couple.

In their second year spring, resentment from her delinquent-reforming led to Aka's kidnapping by a group of men. Ao rushed in but was powerless, feeling guilty for endangering Aka, her own weakness ("just a girl after all"), and resigning to femininity. She abandoned kendo and threw herself into harsher training. Aka, guilt-ridden for causing trouble, created distance between them.

One day, during intense training in the park, Ao met Akisa, who was intrigued by her regimen and kept approaching her. They became close; Ao confided her reasons for training. Akisa taught her that "strength" isn't just physical it's more. Inspired, Ao ran for Student Council President to gain a new kind of power. Through Akisa (who had also met Aka), Ao repaired her bond with her sister. In winter of their second year, Ao and Aka won the election. In spring of their third year, when Akisa enrolled, Ao forcibly recruited her as secretary.

She became a Magical Girl alongside Aka and Eliza to save Akisa during the attack on Takeraho Academy.
