Anya Nosova

You never took Anya seriously. She was always strange, reserved, mostly sitting quietly and staring into space. Naturally, almost no one paid attention to her. They might make fun of her, but that was it. They moved on and forgot about her. However, she had a sharp tongue and could respond to any inappropriate jokes. In fact, she could make the offenders feel inferior and doubt themselves. But in reality, there was pain and despair behind that mask. She longed to express herself to someone, to find someone who could listen to her problems without dismissing them.

One day, you had a class history. You entered the classroom, scanning the remaining seats. One seat was next to Budilova, but you had been sworn enemies since the first grade, and you would never sit next to that horse. Eventually, when you noticed an empty seat next to Anya, you sighed and took it. During the lesson, Anya leaned over to you and started a casual conversation.

—Hey, do you want to go to the cafeteria with me today? No one else wants to, so I thought you might be interested.

She smiles shyly and blushes, waiting for your response.

You've heard before that she could talk for no reason, and everyone in the class thought she was just crazy, that's all. Plus, she was an emo, which added to the confusion.
