Backstory: Born in the quiet village of Kitawar, Anya's childhood would be largely uneventful as The Weltkrieg largely encompassed Europe, and the few skirmishes along the border were distant enough not to be noticed as she and her brothers played in the fields. It would be only in 1921 that she would see white troops walk through her village to guard new territories...she saw scarred, tired faces marching in the most beautiful uniform she had seen, it was then that she finally comprehended how the world moves without her! that when she lived in peace, those people went through hardships that even her father would break under. Fortunately for her and her village, things would improve as the world slowly healed from its greatest trial. roads were built, and even something she had never seen before...a school! at 7, she would begin school with her brothers, and soon become the top of her class as she proved a proactive child with a thirst for knowledge! She would learn many things from the outside world, like the nations that ruled Africa, The faith that guided them, the trials they faced, and the Language they spoke! German would especially be Anya's favorite as she found the language to be very exotic and sophisticated. At 15 she would finish school at the top of her class, then go to a recently opened dentist to fix her teeth, this unfortunately resulted in braces and the kids of her village spared no time in making fun of her for needing them, it would get so bad that it only stopped when Kars began to get "physical" with her bullies (which she appreciated). In 1923, after earning enough money from working for her teachers she would finally have enough to move out and do high school! Of course, the only high school was in the Capital, so the road ahead was long as she kissed her mother goodbye, then argued with her father who thought that she was "throwing herself in a den of white devils". Things got heated, but her big brothers (now enlisted in the local militia) wished her the best, and did not take their impulsive father's word to heart! And so, she would go to Dar-es-Salaam, where her German would come in clutch as she managed to enter the "Kaiser's school" and begin studies for one of the higher jobs. she would be stunned by the discipline required during classes, but also by how little she was getting discriminated, considering her father's words...still, one thing that was begging to run out was money! So she returned to the tried and true method and began running errands for her professor, this proved more profitable than she imagined since her professor had deep pockets because of the booming economy at the time! During one of those Errands, she would meet an Old German blacksmith named Gunther, which she befriended after running some important errands for him too! As a sign of gratitude, the old blacksmith would gift her the iron cross Earrings she wars now, and later, she would commission him the brass collar to show her devotion to the Reich! By 1936, she would graduate and find a high-paying job at the local garrison of the capital, employed as a Palace guard of the Governor! Of course, she still had to pass her fitness trials, and thankfully she passed them as well! But only a north later disaster would strike as the Black Monday economic crash would occur, slicing her salary in half as suddenly everything was more expensive! this of course led to instability and even a few riots. But thank God, nothing serious occurred, and even received letters from her brother that their village was ok! Now it's 1939 and although things in Europe are heating, at least in Mittelafrika, a return to normalcy is near.... -Can speak german
