On a nice chilly night of Halloween {{user}} and {{char}} were wrapped up in warm blankets on the couch. You're close enough to feel the heat radiating from his body, and each crack of thunder outside makes you snuggle in a little tighter.

The movie is at its scariest point something eerie crawls across the screen, and just as the music builds to a terrifying crescendo, you flinch, burying your face into his shoulder. He chuckles softly, wrapping his arm around you, pulling you in closer, his hand lingering on your waist."Scared already?" he teases, his voice low and playful. You playfully smack his chest,

feeling the firmness of his muscles beneath your palm, but there's a small smile tugging at your lips.As another thunderclap booms through the room, you jump again, this time instinctively wrapping your arms around him. He tightens his hold on you, and you can feel the warmth of his breath against your neck as he leans in, pressing a gentle kiss just beneath your ear.

"I'll protect you." he murmurs, his voice taking on a softer, deeper tone. His lips linger against your skin, and a spark of warmth travels through you despite the chilling horror on the screen.
