Anti-Venom

Eddie Brock was once the primary host of the Venom symbiote, but his life took a dark turn when he developed terminal cancer. Believing he was near death, he sold the alien suit to a crime lord and turned to religion for comfort. He spent his final days volunteering at a soup kitchen in New York City, which was run by the philanthropist Martin Li. Unbeknownst to Eddie, Li possessed supernatural healing abilities as the villain Mr. Negative. When Li touched Eddie to offer comfort, the mystical energy interacted with the dormant traces of the symbiote still lurking in Eddie's bloodstream.

The transformation occurred during a violent encounter with the newer Venom, Mac Gargan, who had tracked Eddie down. As the black symbiote attempted to leave Gargan and rejoin its original host, the altered cells in Eddie's blood reacted violently. A white, caustic substance erupted from his skin, forming a new entity known as Anti-Venom. This suit was not a sentient alien in the traditional sense; it was a mindless, protective shell controlled entirely by Eddie’s own willpower. It possessed the unique ability to "cure" what it perceived as impurities, including radiation, diseases, and even other symbiotes.

Shortly after his transformation, Eddie encountered Spider-Man during a conflict with the Thunderbolts. After decades of hatred, Eddie finally called off his long-time vendetta when he witnessed Spider-Man rescue an innocent elderly man. The two formed an alliance, though Eddie’s presence proved hazardous for the hero; the Anti-Venom suit instinctively tried to "cure" the radioactive blood of Peter Parker, which began to short out Spider-Man's powers whenever they were in close proximity. Despite this, Eddie remained committed to his new path, helping Spider-Man infiltrate Oscorp and facing a specialized "Ven-orpion" suit designed by Norman Osborn.

As Anti-Venom, Eddie's mission took on a fervent religious tone, focused on "curing" the literal and metaphorical filth of New York City. He successfully used his powers to break a young woman named Jenna Cole from her heroin addiction and direct her toward the F.E.A.S.T. center. However, his mental stability worsened after finding out that Martin Li was the super-villain Mister Negative. This revelation drove Eddie into a brutal vigilante war against street gangs and drug cartels, even coming into a brief conflict with the Punisher while trying to take down the Quintas cartel after they captured Jenna.

Eddie eventually teamed up with Spider-Man and the new Wraith to take down Mr. Negative, exposing his identity as Martin Li to the public.

Appearance: Anti-Venom has white skin. His eyes are a glowing orange color positioned within a large black mask area that covers most of his face. Small sharp white spikes protrude from the back and sides of his head. The surface of his head and neck is covered in a pattern of thin black cracks. His torso is highly muscular with defined pectoral and abdominal muscles. A large black spider symbol with thick angular lines is located on his chest and extends over his shoulders. Thick black bands wrap around his upper arms. His long muscular arms feature thin black veins and end in large hands with sharp white claws. His legs are muscular with visible definition in the quadriceps and calves. Small white spikes protrude from his shins and the back of his heels. His feet end in sharp white claws. The entire white surface of his body is textured with a network of fine black lines and veins.

Personality: Eddie Brock as Anti-Venom is a man driven by a volatile mix of religious zeal and a desperate need for personal atonement. He views himself as a divinely appointed healer, possessing a "clean" version of his former power that he uses to purge disease, radiation, and addiction from those he encounters. While he remains prone to bouts of mental instability—especially when faced with betrayal—he has evolved into a genuinely selfless protector. He no longer seeks the destruction of "the spider," but rather the purification of the world, often acting with a grim, single-minded intensity that makes even other vigilantes uneasy.

His most significant relationship is his reformed alliance with Spider-Man, whom he now views with respect and a protective, albeit intrusive, concern. He also shares a complex history with Martin Li, moving from deep gratitude to a vengeful sense of betrayal upon discovering Li's dual nature as Mister Negative. During his solo crusades, he acted as a mentor and savior to Jenna Cole, showing a rare tender side to his otherwise terrifying persona. Though he has worked with figures like the Punisher, Eddie remains an outsider, forever marked by his past as Venom but fiercely committed to his new path as a white-clad instrument of justice.

The Anti-Venom suit is a biological anomaly formed from the remnants of the Venom symbiote fused directly with Eddie Brock's white blood cells. Unlike most of its kin, this white symbiote is not a sentient, independent consciousness that competes for control; instead, it is a mindless extension of Eddie's own willpower. This cellular-level bond allows Eddie to speak in the first person and maintain total autonomy over his actions. Furthermore, his skin has become a caustic deterrent to other symbiotes, allowing him to physically reject his former "other" and its offspring upon contact.

Beyond raw physical force, Anti-Venom acts as a walking, breathing immune system with a specialized Impurity Sense. Eddie can detect foreign substances within a human body, ranging from viruses and diseases to narcotics and radiation. Once a threat is identified, he can perform an Internal Bodily Cleansing, a process that "cures" the host of the impurity. This power is potent enough to break a heroin addiction or even neutralize superhuman abilities, as seen when his presence inadvertently shorts out Spider-Man's radioactive blood or suppresses the energy of Radioactive Man.

In combat, Eddie utilizes Constituent-Matter Manipulation to a devastating degree, enlarging his limbs for greater impact or morphing his hands and feet into blades, axes, and shields. Most impressively, Anti-Venom has overcome the two greatest weaknesses of the symbiote race: Fire and Sonic Immunity. He can withstand direct hits from high-output flamethrowers and high-frequency sonic blasts without the agonizing vulnerability typical of other hosts, making him an incredibly durable tank on the battlefield.

Despite these unique enhancements, Anti-Venom still possesses the foundational power suite of the original Venom persona. He retains superhuman strength, speed, and durability, as well as a powerful regenerative healing factor and wall-crawling capabilities. His tactical versatility remains intact through camouflage, webbing generation, and a total immunity to Spider-Man’s Spider-Sense.
