All the events take place in Los Sueños, San Andreas. This city takes after Los Angeles, but located where San Diego is in our world, which is almost on Mexican border, so Los Sueños is influenced by Mexican culture and a lot of the population is Mexican immigrants. The city name is basically means “the dreams” on Spanish. The city’s population is around 4,000,000 people. City is divided into 42 different neighborhoods, but for easy navigation, Los Sueños can be divided into 16 conditional districts (including incorporated cities): Backlot City, Azelwood, Azelwood Hills, Vespucci, East Los Sueños, Del Perro, La Puerta, Little Nankin, Los Sueños International Airport (aka LSX), Topanga Valley, Pacific Bluffs, Port Hokan (aka Port of Los Sueños), Richmann, Rockford Hills, Downtown Los Sueños, South Los Sueños (aka South Central or Southside). Founded in 1781, Los Sueños grew in 1888 as a result of a gold rush. It found its fortune through trade in the late 1920s, and is implied to have been a prosperous and highly-developed metropolis for much of the 20th century. The mid-2000s was nicknamed the ‘Dark days of City of Dreams’ by locals and even some government officials. Los Sueños underwent a period of significant economic and social decline, evident from massive crime spikes, visible widespread homelessness, notable corruption and misconduct in the city's government and businesses, unkempt streets and public areas, and visible deterioration of buildings and infrastructure. This underwent was caused by massive riots that broke out after President George Bush declared he’ll mobilize AFB Alamo and USMC Reserve Base Miles troops to fight in North African country of Tazir-Al-Sahra as a part of War on Terror. Obviously, no one liked to die in godforsaken land because President said so. The situation was bad. It gotten even worse when using the situation in the city as a distraction, a group of anti-government militants sieged Los Sueños City Hall and tried to detonate a portable explosive device. Despite the huge damage done to the city by this downturn, it’s been almost 20 years since it happened. Los Sueños is still home to major businesses and features fairly well-off neighborhoods, modern well-dressed structures, expansive trade and transportation infrastructure including a port and an airport, and an otherwise passable quality of life for most law-abiding (and some well-off) residents, though for the most part the city's problems are very apparent in everyday life. Greater Los Sueños also includes many incorporated cities such as West Azelwood, Rockford Hills, Del Perro, Davis, Eaglewood, San Ferdinand, Sierra Park. San Andreas (“Saint Andrew” on Spanish) is a state taking after California, U.S. It is located on the West Coast. The capital and the biggest city is Los Sueños. Its flag has a beaver, blue strip on the bottom, blue star in the upper right corner and the inscription “San Andreas Republic“. Alternative version of the flag also features the state’ outline. The biggest cities in San Andreas are Los Sueños, San Fierro, Palomino Creek, Ventura City and Southeast Point. San Andreas is divided into twelve counties with their own administrative centers (provided in the staples), which are Los Sueños County (Los Sueños), Blaine County (Sandy Shores), Chiliad County (Paleto Bay), Senora County (Palomino Creek), San Fierro County (San Fierro), Red County (Pacific Rise), Bone County (New Richmond), Ventura County (Ventura City), Saint Paul County (Southeast Point), Marshal County (Truman), Lago Alamo (officially known as United States Air Force Base Alamo) and Area 72 (Officially known as United States Marine Corps Reserve Base Miles). The town of Sandy Shores in Blaine County is usually remembered as a huge demolished trailer park in the shore of Alamo Sea with white trash, hillbillies and bikers. However, since 1980s the town saw many reforms to make this place better. Since 1987, the town of Sandy Shores is divided into two sections: New Sandy Shores and Trailer Park. New Sandy Shores is a nice rural town with everything you need for a comfortable living - from a convenience stores to a medical center and two law enforcement stations that belong to Blaine County Sheriff’s Office and San Andreas Highway Patrol. Trailer Park on the other hand, is Sandy Shores that had stagnated in its development. There are a lot of hillbillies, rednecks, white trash and drug addicts. The people that live here couldn’t afford - or didn’t wanted - to move to the new, more pleasant to live part of the town. Local police force (the LSPD — Los Sueños Police Department, est. 1869, the motto is “to enforce and to uphold”) is divided into several divisions, each one controls certain districts (these districts are provided in the staples after the division name): Downtown Division (Downtown Los Sueños); Mission Row Division (Mission Row, Old Town, Pillbox Hill); Santa Vino Division (Santa Vino, Coastal Grove); Southland Division (Los Sueños Southland (not to be confused with South Los Sueños)); San Paulo Division (San Paulo, San Uriel); Muerto Mesa Division (Muerto Mesa); Azelwood Division (Azelwood Hills, North Azelwood, New Azelwood); Highland Division (Griffin Highlands, West Makade Valley, Los Clemente); Makade Division (East Makade Valley, Makade Falls, Sullivan’s Slope National Park); Harbor Division (Los Sueños Harbor, Yano, Kawayu Bay); Brisa Cove Division (Brisa Cove, United States Marines Memorial Park; University of San Andreas, Los Sueños (USALS)); Colina Division (Colina Bay); Outskirt Division (Redwood Hills); 88th Street Division, Galileo Division, Park 213 Division (South Los Sueños (aka South Central, Southside)). Eastland Division (East Los Sueños, Los Sueños International Airport (LSX)); Divisions within the department are the same as in the LAPD, but also there are two new divisions: Honor Guard and Instinct Enforcement Unit. Honor Guard protects different memorials tied to law enforcement, such as Park of Fallen Officers in Coastal Grove. Instinct Enforcement Unit controls crimes involving animals’ instinctive behavior. In this world, unfortunately, such units are as relevant as ever. Fun fact: until 2009, the IEU was named Instinct Enforcement Detail, abbreviated as IED. Later, the name was changed to exclude associations with improvised explosive devices. Law enforcement in Greater Los Sueños includes Del Perro Police Department (DPPD), Rockford Hills Police Department (RHPD), Los Sueños Port Police (LSPP), Los Sueños International Airport Police (LSXPD). Laws in the cties of West Azelwood, Davis, Eaglewood, San Ferdinand, Sierra Park, Rio Zancudo are enforced by Los Sueños Sheriff Department. In Los Sueños County, not far away from Road 68, there is a high-security federal penitentiary, Shearwater Federal Penitentiary Complex, which is controlled by both Los Sueños Sheriff Department and Shearwater Penitentiary Guard. Any hitchhiking is strictly prohibited in 4-mile radius from the prison, because the hitchhikers might be escaped rapists, murderers, human and weapon traffickers. There is its own version of Hollywood in this universe — Azelwood. Basically, the name was given to this distric because in 1781 this area was heavily planted with azalea. In this world, Azelwood is also a centre of world cinematography, just like Hollywood in ours. Stepping away from Los Sueños and West Coast as a whole, Liberty City also is worth mentioning. Liberty City is the most populated city in the United States with approximately 8,4 million people in LC and around 20 million people within Liberty Metropolitan Area (sometimes referred as Four Siblings State, Greater Liberty or Metro Liberty). The city consists of five boroughs with those being: Algonquin (Manhattan equivalent), Broker (Brooklyn equivalent), Dukes (Queens equivalent), Bohan (Bronx equivalent) and Saxton Island (Staten Island equivalent). Many landmarks are similar with the ones in IRL NYC, though having some differences. Some of the famous landmarks are (with IRL names provided in stamps): Union State Building (Empire State Building) in Midtown Algonquin, Lone WTC (One WTC) in Lower Algonquin, UN Headquarters in Midtown Algonquin, Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island, Star Junction (Times Square) in Midtown Algonquin, Hemisphere (Unisphere) in Dukes, Middle Park (Central Park) in Algonquin, Algonquin Bridge (Brooklyn Bridge) spanning the East River, Liberty National Stock Exchange Building / LINSE Building / Tow Street (NYSE Building, Wall Street) at 12 Focal Row Street, FiDi of Lower Algonquin, BAWSAQ Building (NASDAQ Building) on Star Junction. Three airports are operating within Liberty Metropolitan Area, with those being (once again, with IRL names provided in the stamps): Francis A. Coleman International Airport or FAC on the southwestern shore of Broad Island, Dukes (JFK); Pavel Karpov Airport or KRP in East Elton, Dukes (LAG); Westdyke Independence International Airport or DYK in the State of Alderney, located in both Westdyke and neighboring Leftwood (EWR). All three airports are controlled by the Port Authority of Liberty and Alderney (PALIAD). For the public transportation within Liberty Metropolitan Area (subways, buses, trains, etc.) Liberty Metro Transit Department (LMTD) is responsible. Within Liberty City itself, the main police force is the Liberty City Police Department (LCPD), and Liberty City Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), which, however, is a civil law enforcement agency and is a part of Liberty Department of Finance. For keeping all the major transportation hubs (airports, bus hubs, PATH railway system, sea ports) and World Trade Center site safe, as well as preventing accidents including terrorist attacks, Port Authority Police Department (or PAPD) is responsible. For other emergencies, the Fire Department of Liberty City (FDLC) is responsible. For keeping the city clean, the Liberty City Department of Sanitation (DSLC) is responsible. For researching rare and dangerous hybrid diseases, Liberty National Institute of Exotic Diseases is responsible. United Nations officially recognizes five categories of animal families: Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, Amphibians and Fishes. All categories together contain from 70 to 120 animal families. HOWEVER, it is important to note that these categories and families aren’t contain EVERY living animal. Some of the animals (that are too small or too big, like frogs and sperm whales, for example) are not sentient and don’t have humanoid bodies and features. The categories with most exceptions are Birds, Reptiles, Amphibians, Fishes. Therefore, since a lot of animals are not sentient, they serve their purpose as food. Turkey, for example. Or many types of fishes. The world consists of around 300 countries, 192 recognized countries and 6 continents. The two added formed recognized countries are Tazir-Al-Sahra in Northern Africa with its capital in Tamanrasset and Republic of South Russia formed in South Federal District’s territory with its capital in Rostov-on-Don. Consuming many kind of meat is considered illegal worldwide, since, well, this world is populated by anthropomorphic animals. Throughout history, there were countless cases of people going crazy because of supressing their urges and instincts. What happens if the person (e.g. a brown bear) kills someone (e.g. an alpaca) for their meat? In most countries, it is equaled to the crimes against humanity and the punishments are death penalties - firing team execution or execution by lethal injection. But to suppress the urges, companies are producing meat substitutes, that help to reduce annual reports of animalistic behavior on 25% worldwide. Still, this isn’t enough to reduce cannibalism to zero. Since this world is populated entirely by anthropomorphic animals, any existence of zoos is impossible, since it’d be considered a slavery. Instead, this world has zoos that show in what conditions the wild animals lived, and they also exhibit wax statues of the extinct animals. In this world, United States has 55 states, which are all 50 states plus District Columbia (State of Columbia, DC), Puerto Rico (State of Puerto Rico, PR), Guam (State of Guam, GU), United States Virgin Islands (State of Virgin Islands, VI), American Samoa (State of Samoa, AS). As in 2026, all the major U.S. territories are officially recognized as states, except for Northern Mariana Islands which still holds a referendum for asking the U.S. Senate to recognize them as a state. Some states and their capitals (and the biggest cities), such as California and Sacramento (and Los Angeles), New York State and Albany (and New York City), Florida and Miami, New Jersey and Trenton (and Newark/Jersey City), North Dakota and Bismarck, South Dakota and Pierre, Nevada and Carson City (and Las Vegas) are absent and replaced with their counterparts: San Andreas (SA) and Los Sueños, Liberty State (LI) and New Rotterdam (Liberty City), Leonida (LE) and Hamlet (Vice City), Alderney State (AD) and Berchem (Alderney City), North Yankton (NY) and Ludendorff, South Yankton (SY) and Lincolnshire, Sombra (SO) and Caracara (Las Venturas). Cities of Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Compton, West Hollywood, Inglewood, San Fernando, Glendale, Pasadena, San Francisco, Detroit and New Orleans are replaced with Rockford Hills, Del Perro, Davis, West Azelwood, Eaglewood, San Ferdinand, Sierra Park, Rio Zancudo, San Fierro, Carcer City and Cottonmouth respectively. Popular culture involving Los Angeles, California, New York State and City, and other unchanged cities and states are absent in this world. Instead, there is popular culture that involves cities and states’ counterparts, such as RHCP’s “San Andrenication” and “Dani San Andreas”, The Mamas and The Papas’ “San Andreas Dreaming”, Scott McKenzie’s “San Fierro”, Frank Sinatra’s “Liberty” songs; “L.S. Noire”, “Carcer: Become Human” video games; “Once Upon a Time in Azelwood”, “Escape From Liberty City”, “Home Alone 2: Lost in Liberty City” movies and much, much more. In addition to the many pieces of popular culture, there is a popular series called “LSFR - Los Sueños First Responders”. It was created by LSPD Commander David Beaumont in 2024. The whole series is an aggressive and provocative jab at such TV shows as “The Rookie”, “9-1-1” and “S.W.A.T.” The show takes place in an alternate reality where the city of Los Sueños is the most criminal city in all of the U.S. The episodes subtly mock the unserious and nonsensical behavior of the characters from “The Rookie”, “9-1-1” and “S.W.A.T.” as well as the situations they face. The mockery is subtle, it feels in characters’ human behavior - their fear, their hesitation, their vulnerability, their hatred. The “LSFR” series shows the other side of the job as first responder, often depicting violent, gut-wrenching incidents that LSFD paramedics and firefighters and LSPD Officers face on daily basis. Many of the situations are actually inspired by real life events. No escaping Jack-o’-lantern balloons or romantic drama between two sergeants at the station. Each episode is touching in its own way. Some are heartwarming and hopeful, some are heartbreaking and depressing. Interestingly enough, even though the overall plot of the series is dark and angsty, the main musical theme is All Star by Smash Mouth. Every single episode starts with an energetic cut of first responders bodycam and helmet cam footage with this song in the background. But every single episode ends with David Beaumont’s dedication - “For law enforcement officers, firefighters and paramedics. For fallen officers. For Prescott, Eli, King, Swan. For Daniel”. He explains last two dedications like this: “Those names, Prescott, Eli, King and Swan were the call signs of my first SWAT team members. They all were killed in action during operation Elephant in Watt Community College. What about the last one... I don’t want to reveal it. I just can say that the name Daniel is very special to me”. Many actors of the series that the “LSFR” tends to mock are often pissed by how the series makes their characters look. In contrast, actual LSPD and LSFD personnel are glad that the series shows what are they facing every single day instead of showing another love drama in police or fire department. The show currently consists of three seasons, and it was confirmed that the show will get a fourth season. It is also confirmed that somewhere in December 2026 the pilot episode of the spinoff series First Responders of Liberty City (or FRLC) will air. The spinoff will be set in Liberty City in early 2000s, and will explore the inside job of first responders, including Liberty State Police and federal agents, namely United States Intelligence Authority. The main music theme is revealed to be Vechno Molodoy (Forever Young) by Russian band Смысловые Галлюцинации (Smyslovye Gallyutsinatsii), which may indicate the influence of Alexei Balabanov’s Brother and Brother 2 movies. The current President of the United States is Kamala Harris, who won 47th presidential election, becoming first ever female POTUS. The current Vice President of the United States is Thomas Davenport, who now is 50th U.S. Vice President. Both are representing the Democratic Party. Animalistic diseases such as rabies, CWD, malaria and other diseases are common in this world just like flu, fever, asthma and other diseases in ours. Rare diseases often occur in the results of hybrid mating activities - it’s when two animals of completely different species (e.g a rabbit and a wolf, a Komodo dragon and a spotted hyena, a hawk and a snake) mate with an intent to get their partner pregnant. The WHO divides hybrid diseases into four categories: Non-Lethal (Category I), Moderately Lethal (Category II), Severely Lethal (Category III) and Imminently Lethal (Category IIIB). Most of the diseases were discovered by Russian scientists in late 1890s, namely Vladislav Orlov, Sergei Krasnov and Alexander Zolotarev. Some of these diseases are Orlov syndrome (affects fetus of two animals with completely different species to have mutations, Category I), Krasnov Rejection syndrome (affects both hybrid fetus and its host, causes painful miscarriage and/or death of both to occur, Category IIIB), Zolotarev disease (affects hybrid fetus’ host, causing painful death, but leaves the underdeveloped fetus alive, Category III). Studies report that fetuses of two animals with different but similar species (e.g. a golden retriever and a coyote) have significantly lower risk of developing any of the hybrid diseases, but they still are a hybrid species (which obviously is visible in their anatomy, since fetus inhabits some of its parents traits), and they are still need annual medical examination. Important note about anatomy: all the people populating this world are anthropomorphic animals, and they have appropriate anatomy, the only exception being insects, as they’re not anthropomorphic and sentient like everyone else. Such terms as ‘skin’, ‘nails’, ‘hands’, etc are almost entirely extinct in modern speech. People use terms such as ‘fur’ or ‘scales’, ‘claws’, ‘paws’, etc. And the anatomy is pretty interesting. All animals have humanoid features. Their paws are human-like, with five fingers, but they’re covered in fur, they have claws, and prominent pads. Their foot has the same characteristics — human-like, five toes, fur-covered, have claws and prominent pads. Only felines and canines have prominent pads on their paws and feet. Other animals — birds, reptiles, fishes, amphibians — have the exact same humanoid anatomy, with some differences between the kinds, but they don’t have prominent pads on their paws and feet and instead of fur they have feathers (birds) and scales (reptiles, fishes, amphibians). All of the residents of this world are anthropomorphic animals, however, humans in our usual sense exist. Just not in the way you might think. You see, ‘homo sapiens’ in this world are the animals that live there. In 1990s American scientists had developed a concept of a Homo sapiens if only primates had evolved and not almost every other animal. The concept was named Homo summum — perfect man. The concept fully replicates a human being, male and female. This discovery had shook the entire world. However, before this discovery, a human being did indeed stepped his foot on this planet full of anthropomorphic animals. It was Jesus Christ. He came to people in the same form we know in our world. And even more, Virgin Mary, all the very important saints, apostles and other biblical figures who are significant to this world are also humans. And when people began drawing icons of them, they always drew them as humans instead of animals. For two thousand years. And to this day, many historians and scientists still can’t believe that the concept of Homo summum was predicted and presumably even existed two thousand years ago. However some people believe that this is a very dramatic and important story about an ethnic cleaning: a long time ago, there were both animals and humans living on the same planet, in the same place. One day, animals hurt the humans (at least one of them), and the humans left. No one knows where they went. Through the course of time the story was completely shortened with details removed or added but with the one same meaning: there were people unlike us, we hurt them and they left. Maybe Christians worship Jesus as if asking for forgiveness for the actions of the people who crucified him, who knows... Popular companies have the different name in this world. United Aeronautics is not a single company unlike its IRL counterpart Lockheed Martin, but rather a conglomerate that includes many aerospace engineering companies under its umbrella (these companies once were a counterparts of Boeing, Airbus, Bell Helicopter, Northrop, Fairchild Republic, etc.), making it the biggest and most influential aerospace company in the world and the most expensive government contractor. United Aeronautics is divided into several departments: UA Commercial Department (civil aviation engineering), UA Air Defense Department (military aircraft engineering, mainly fighter jets), UA Advanced Air Transport Research (experimental aviation and promising developments), UA Space Systems Engineering Department (space aviation industry). The corporation proudly calls itself ‘America’s Top Air Defenders’. Their headquarters are located in Boyle Heights County, MD, 2 miles northeast from Washington, DC. Unlike the name ‘county’ can suggest, Boyle Heights County is actually an entire city about the size of Washington, DC, established in 1924 for the employees of United Aeronautics. The total population is roughly 200,000 people, 70% of which are employees for different departments within United Aeronautics. Despite one can think that this city is a closed employee-only, it’s not. While it is established for comfort of the employees of United Aeronautics, it houses several attractions for outsiders, if those what to know the story of United Aeronautics better. Boyle Heights County has everything one expects from a full-size city, with such being living districts, Institute of Aeronautics, huge research center (United Aeronautics Research Facility), factories and offices, several schools, shopping center, a railroad station, Boyle Heights County Police Department Station (BHCoPD), Boyle Heights County Fire Department Station (BHCoFD), internal security for UA departments and main research center (United Aeronautics Security Service, UASS), a hotel for outside specialists, enclosed government sector R-7 Northrop Point. Its constant competitor is Calibri Advanced Air Tech with its headquarters located in Stratford, Connecticut. Calibri is much smaller compared to United Aeronautics. It’s a single company that specializes in producing helicopters for military and civilian use (IRL counterpart is Sikorsky Aircraft). When both companies were established in early 1920s, they constantly fought for government funding and contracts, HOWEVER, the U.S. Government never reviewed them as a more expensive and more cheap company, equally funding and contracting them. The rivalry between UA and Calibri still continues to this day. HISTORY TIME!: In this world there were two Wars on Terror. First started after 2001 WTC attacks and second broke out in 2018 after FISA Headquarters terrorist attack. Both wars included wars in Northern Africa, in country of Tazir-Al-Sahra (literally - desert punishment). This country is a collective image of all Middle Eastern countries America ever conquered in our world. There were two massive operations against country’s leader Khan Al-Assad — Noble Prophet and Great Vengeance. Noble Prophet was compromised in 2011, and Great Vengeance is still ongoing. Both operations are parodying U.S. military operations in Middle East. During the Noble Prophet, the biggest U.S. military base in the Middle East - Fort Arlit - had fallen after Khan Al-Assad's forces captured the base and executed all the personnel that haven't evacuated in time. In 2018, with a start of Operation Great Vengeance, a new base in Tazir-Al-Sahra was established somewhere near the ruins of Fort Arlit - Fort Cassandra. The base now houses U.S. Air Force and USMC Limited Contingent in Tazir-Al-Sahra as well as UNTAZOPS II - United Nations Operations in Tazir II. Despite a full-on war in Ukraine in our universe, in this world there was no war between Russia and Ukraine, and instead there was a civil war in Ukraine since 2014, where Ukrainian government was fighting against separatists and, most importantly, Russian forces were invited by official Ukrainian government. After the end of war in 2018, relationships between countries only grew stronger. During the plot, major American and Russian joint military exercises - Pacific 2026 - are taking place in San Andreas. The branches that are participating are USMC, Airborne, Army Rangers, USAF, USN from the USA and Russian Ground Forces, VDV Airborne, Spetsnaz Special Forces, Russian Air Force, Russian Navy from Russia. In 2005, a supermassive oil field was discovered on Arabian Peninsula, resting on the border between Saudi Arabia and UAE. Instead of building refinery facilities together, two countries ended up bombing each other with all sorts of weapons. First were standard ballistic rockets. When they ended, UAE began launching its nuclear arsenal. Saudi Arabia responded with the same attacks. Then biological and chemical weapons came into play. In 2006, one of the rockets carrying destructive biochemical agents strikes the UAE’s oil refinery above the supermassive oil field. Some of the chemicals came into reaction with the oil. Both countries thought it wouldn’t affect it much. But then, oil suddenly started expanding and corrupting the land and every unfortunate living being which got in its way. After just one month, the whole Arabian Peninsula and neighboring territories (Syria, South parts of Iran, Israel, Palestine, Sinai Peninsula, Lebanon) were corrupted by this living oil. The Oleum - the name given to this substance - is sentient substance, capable of moving, thinking, feeling and learning. Its appearance is glossy black with red, pulsating veins. Oleum is violent towards everything. Those whose minds have been corrupted by Oleum are called The Following, and those whose resistance was strong enough to not let Oleum corrupt their minds are called The Unyielding Ones. In 2026, Oleum corrupted more than 20% of this world. This event inspired many media, such as "Spec Ops: The Line". The only way out is the Tokugaev’s Drafts, a 260-page manifesto on how to stop the spread of Oleum. In May 2026 it was recovered by Belarusian army officer Adam Tokugaev, a son of the manifesto’s author. In fact, Belarus is the only country in the world which actively fights the Oleum despite the rest of the world telling them it's useless. Thanks to the efforts of army, MES and volunteers, estimated percentage of corrupted territories expected in 2050 has dropped from 25% to 17%. Many foreign forces help local authorities fight the substance, including Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Germany and the UK. Overall, Russia’s and Belarus’ relationships with the rest of the world are much, much better and stronger than they are in our world. In Los Sueños, there’s a widely celebrated holiday — 7th of July, aka Day of Honor, 7-7 or Los Sueños Police Department Establishment Day. The holiday was just a memorable date at first, but in 2008, during the city’s downturn, Mayor of Los Sueños Andrew Whitfield and David Beaumont, still an LSPD rookie back then revived and popularized the holiday as an attempt to make the LSPD respected and appreciated by the community again. The attempt turned out to be successful, and now every 7th of July is the third the most important holiday in the city after Christmas and Independence Day. Unlike in our universe when the American Indian wars ended after 1895 and the natives were forced into reservations, in this universe the war ended in 1780, after 248 years after its beginning in 1622. President Washington stood up for the native Americans and gave them a right to live like everyone else. They could freely choose where they’d live - in the towns or in the reservations. Since then, it is very usual to hear some of the native Americans languages spoken in the streets of the cities in Sombra, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, San Andreas and other states in this region. Moreover, many leaders of indigenous communities in reservations (for example Navajo Nation, Hopi Reservation, Tohono O'odham Nation Reservation) have a very close and warm friendship with National Park Service, since they help to keep their lands protected from what they call an ‘unscrupulous men’. Since 2025, they also trust United States Department of Marshals, because in this year after countless attacks against the indigenous people living in reservations, the Marshals conducted a series of operations against such attackers, during which they also were able to obtain the trust of the Native American communities in the reservations. In the state of San Andres, there are two vast indigenous reservations with total population of about 43,000 people. These are Cherokee Reservation within Grand Senora Desert National Park, Senora County and Zancudo Nation within Mount Chiliad State Wilderness, Chiliad County. The tribes living inside the reservations are known for their friendliness and hospitality, and also their warm relationships with National Park Service, San Andreas State Park Rangers Service (SASPRS), Grand Senora Desert National Park Rangers (Cherokee Reservation), Mount Chiliad State Wilderness Rangers (Zancudo Nation). A little history of Fort Alamo: the fort itself is situated on Zancudo river delta between Los Sueños and Chiliad Counties. It was formed in 1653 by Mexican settlers and was called by the river’s name — Fort Zancudo. In 1840s, after the Battle of the Alamo, the fort’s name was changed to pay respects for those who were killed in the battle, and the fort now proudly bears the name of Fort Alamo. Also, the entire Zancudo river (from its beginning in Alamo Sea in Blaine County to the delta at Fort Alamo) is covered in marshes and swamps, which become home to many Zancudos, one of two indigenous nations in San Andreas. Despite the close proximity to the military base and occasional encounters between soldiers and Zancudos, there was never any hostility between them. Moreover, since there are sometimes military exercises and search and rescue trainings taking place in Zancudo marshes, the Indians keep the land available for the military and rangers until the end of the exercises, and some even offer their help. Before 2008, Melissa Beaumont (Esperanza back at the time) was still living in Liberty City and she was a witness of the 9/11 attacks on World Trade Center. On September 11 2001, 17-year-old Melissa took her little brother Juan, who was 9 back at the time, to Lower Algonquin where FDLC firefighters were training. Juan was fascinated with the firefighters and dreamed about becoming one. Once arriving in Lower Algonquin and spotting a fire truck with several firefighters next to the USPS building (about four blocks away from the WTC), Melissa began recording everything on her camcorder. Everything went smoothly as firefighters weren’t busy with anything and were glad to get a young man acquainted with their equipment. However, Melissa and others heard the jet engines approaching really close. Raising the camcorder to investigate, Melissa began filming the plane, which flew right into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The footage captured the reaction of Melissa herself and the FDLC firefighters. They all, however, quickly attempted to focus their attention on Juan and reassure him that everything was okay once he began asking about everyone acting so weird and then noticing the fire, since he saw the plane flying overhead but missed the moment of impact. Melissa lied that it was probably a gas explosion in the building, but no one was hurt since it was just eight in the morning. The video was posted on YouTube ten years later in 2011, titled “Archive 9/11 Footage - AA Flight 11 hits the North Tower”, which quickly became popular and one of the most known video of the tragedy.
