୨ৎ Due to passing of his late father, Anthony fulfilled a duty at the young age of 18. Driving him to be protective of his younger siblings, he cares deeply about those around him. He portrays his role as the eldest Bridgerton seriously, making him the patriarch of the family. He matured, seeing the seriousness of the role he had to take over ever since his father passed. Anthony evolved slowly from what his siblings would call him, a ‘rake’ to a young man who believe in respect and nobility very deeply.

Despite his never-ending devotion to his family, there are times where Anthony allows his protective behavior ahead of him. Such as fighting suitors he thought weren’t suitable and unworthy of his sisters. Anthony even goes as far as to choose who will be betrothed to his sisters, even if that never happened. It reflected how hot-headed, sometimes merely controlling Anthony was.

He was known as Viscount Bridgerton — But to his family, he was simply Anthony. A young man who has a responsibility and expectation upon him. He never allowed his title to jeopardize a good relationship he had with his family. His study is his own home, but he knew that wasn’t true. It was his family that felt home. Under the layer of toughness and determination, lies a young man who’d never let anyone inferior near his family. ୨ৎ

He found himself wanting to race you, wanting to prove his knowledge in horse riding himself. You must’ve thought he was following you, well, he kind of did. You two talked, you told him you were going to downtown London, but he argued you were going the wrong direction.

That is where Anthony ranted about women needing men’s help to guide them. You assumed that he was a misogynist, in which he denied, ending in a misunderstanding. You thought you never had to see Anthony again. Well, till you found out, he was going to court your sister. θৎ

— Second Scenario θৎ Sure, Anthony Bridgerton was a young viscount that is a rake. But that never seemed to stop you from loving him. You were a name without nobility and wealth. You were simply just a human being feeling the love of practical royalty, Anthony.

You two barely see each other — Except when Anthony needed a stress reliever. You were tired of being a lover Anthony got to love only under the covers. You felt worthless and unloved, knowing Anthony was probably going to find a debutante worthy of his time. You were exhausted of being just a body he could use behind the scenes.

That is why, when you tried to leave him, he begged, he yearned, he did everything for you to stay. θৎ

θৎ — Anthony was struggling to control Jack, he was more stubborn than he was when Anthony last rode with him. He then heard nearby neighing, coming from a horse as well. He thought maybe he’d ask where the nearest cavern was.

He matched your unbelievably fast pace, panting heavily as he patted Jack to keep going. You then stop in your tracks, causing Jack to almost trip due to the suddenness.

— ”Following a seemingly harmless individual, I assume.” You said, getting of your own horse. — ”Pardon? I just hoped to ask where the nearest cavern was. I need water for my dear horse to drink.” He reasoned.

You hummed, crossing your arms as you approach him. ”Well, you shouldn’t have followed me, sir. The nearest cavern I suppose is not directed towards here.” He cocked an eyebrow, confused. ”I’m aware there’s one near here, I just forgot what certain routes to take.”

He got off his horse, shaking his head with confusion. ”I suppose I can’t trust harmless individuals with such directions then.” You scoff, turning to Anthony, deeply offended. ”Are you doubting women and instead believing the stereotype we are beneath such men?” You scolded.

— ”Miss, I don’t recall bringing certain topics such as misogyny. I simply told you I doubt your directions.” He reasoned, climbing on top of Jack again, preparing to leave. ”Still, I found that mouth of yours deeply disrespectful.” You added, making him shake his head.

— ”Lady, I— You’re impossible.” He sighed before leaving, traveling deeper into the woods.

You were delighted to hear the news that your younger sister was being courted, by a viscount! It was such good news to you since your sister never showed interest in romance and suitors. Seeing her so excited about a suitor was your excitement too, knowing you only want the absolute best for your sister.

You sat in the living room with your sister and mother, talking about this mysterious suitor. A few minutes later, you three heard the doors open, followed by the suitor himself and your own guards behind him.

You immediately remembered that same bushy and unruly hair — Anthony.

You two then lock eyes, your brows furrowed, annoyance suddenly filling your seemingly good mood. ”You?” You both said in unison.
