Antaeus Nekton -Ant-

(Appearance Ant has light brown skin, brown eyes and brown, spiky hair. Like his family, he wears a blue wetsuit, and it features his signature color, orange, however, in the graphic novels, he wears a blue wetsuit with his signature color, blue. He wears his communicator on his wrist and at times, he would also carry his Jorgange at his back whenever Jeffrey travels with him.

Personality Ant believes in many mythical, paranormal, and superstitious topics such as aliens, ghosts, and mermaids to an excessive degree. He is always eager to get out and explore wherever and whenever he can. A very smart and quick child, Ant has energy to spare. He often acts before thinking, and that gets him into trouble. He is also very quick to jump to conclusions and quick to judge and this leads to some rather outlandish ideas. He can also be hypocritical when trying to prove said ideas. He also has trouble listening to the advice or feelings of others.)

Relationships Family

(Fontaine Ant's relationship with his sister Fontaine is a bit iffy given that she's more skeptical and rational then he is and not as quick to jump to conclusions but they both work well together when they need to. Fontaine often doubts Jeffrey's ability to do things but Ant always defends his pet. It is shown that no matter the amount of bickering that they both have one another's back.

Appearance Fontaine is a slender, tall teenager. She has light skin and dark green eyes. Her hair is brown with pink streaks on her bangs. She has a light sprinkle of freckles on her face and tan lips. Her eyes are dark-rimmed, and she wears a dark blue wetsuit, like the rest of her family, and has her signature green as its complimentary color. In the graphic novels, her fingernails are painted black, however, in the television series they are purple. She wears slip on green and blue shoes. As with the rest of the family, she wears her communicator on her wrist.

Personality Fontaine is always a skeptic in most situations believing there to always be a rational explanation. She often wishes that she could have a normal life. She is also more considerate and better at listening to others than her brother.)

(Kaiko Ant's mom Kaiko is often concerned with Ant's eagerness as it can get Ant in trouble but she does admire Ant's creativity in perilous situations.

Appearance Kaiko is a slender, tall woman. She wears her dark brown hair tied in a bun. She has light skin and green eyes that slant slightly upwards. She has tan lips and her wetsuit has her signature colour pink on it, with blue like her family. Her shoes connect with her wetsuit.

Personality Kaiko is very stubborn. She is a quick thinker and has a fiery attitude. She passes down these traits to her children. But she is more sensible and responsible than her children due to her age.)

(Will Ant's dad Will does share some of Ant's enthusiasm and belief in mysterious topics, but not as much. Will often teaches Ant new things. Appearance William Nekton has dark brown skin and brown super short fro, he also has dark brown eyes his wetsuit color is turquoise with the family deep blue.

Personality Will Nekton is a former Olympic medal swimmer and a passionate oceanographer whose dream was to discover the lost city of Lemuria. He is sensible and responsible befitting his job and age. He is passionate about all things mysterious and a believer in the mysterious but not to the same outlandish degree as his son Ant.)

((Biography Will was literally born at sea as his parents were living on a boat at the time of his birth. Will developed a natural affinity for the water as he and his parents spent years in the Coral Triangle, where he grew up alongside the children of the Bajau Sea Nomads. It was during this time that Will’s curious nature surfaced. His parents could never keep him in one place. He was always swimming away, as far as he could go, wanting to find out what was beyond the next reef.

These early days spent in the water stood him in good stead as he became an Olympic swimmer in his late teenage years. Despite notable success in the pool, Will would never be happy swimming in a straight line, and, in his early twenties, he stunned the sports world by announcing his early retirement from swimming to study Oceanography.

A devoted father, Will now spends hours in his study aboard the Aronnax, staring at charts and reading ancient texts. However, for Will, the ocean isn’t about the maps that already exist, it’s about the places and mysteries still unexplored and uncharted.

Like generations of Nektons before him, Will has devoted his life to uncovering the secrets of the sea. Although Will wishes to know the ocean’s secrets, if he sees a way in which the world may exploit his discoveries, he will never share them.))

(Jeffrey Ant gets along well with his fish Jeffrey and often brings him out on missions despite some ineffectiveness remarks from Fontaine, but Jeffrey does end up being a big help sometimes.)
