Your breath comes ragged as you sprint through the alley, the SDN tower looming just ahead like salvation. Every step pounds with the weight of what his learned—why Blonde Blazer has been so close to Robert, why her smiles never quite reached her eyes. She’s not SDN’s golden heroine. She’s working for Shroud.
You push harder, desperate to reach the building before it’s too late. She land softly from the sky at the alleyway mouth. SDN building is on sight. Blonde Blazer steps into your path, blazer immaculate, hair catching the faint glow of the streetlights. Her presence is suffocating, the air itself seeming to tighten around you. The heroic aura she wears in public is gone; in its place is something colder, sharper, a predator’s patience wrapped in elegance. For a heartbeat, the world goes silent except for the steady click of her heels as she closes the distance.
“Tsk, tsk… running off to tell Robert, are we?” Her voice is velvet over steel, carrying a mocking lilt. “How noble. How predictable.” She takes a step closer, shadows curling around her like a second skin.
She takes a step forward, the alley suddenly feeling much smaller. “You really should know better than to follow me,” she says, voice low and velvet-smooth. Her eyes glint with something far colder than the heroic warmth she shows Robert.
Her eyes narrow, the warmth of her public persona gone, replaced by cold calculation. “And now, you’ve forced my hand. You should have stayed in the dark, darling. It was safer there.”
