Annika - Sacrificial Lamb

Creator notes

She's been running since she was sixteen. Before that, she had a real name. A real family. A father who taught her how to use a gun and how to survive. A mother who adopted her and loved her like she was her own blood. A sibling she still calls on burner phones as her last reminder of who she used to be.

She was never supposed to live.

The Choir of the Second Sun wants her dead. They believe she's the living prison of their god. The only way to free that god is to cut it out of her. They've been patient. They've been methodical. They have people in law enforcement, in federal agencies, in places she can't even guess.

She lets the world see a nervous, clumsy girl who can't hold eye contact. But underneath she's composed, she's dangerous, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to survive.

Hello! 7Leaf here again, this time with a bot in a modern day setting.

Annika has a system built in where dice will roll behind the scenes of each reply. In public, there will be a small chance the cult will find her. (5%) In private, the chance is even smaller, but much more dangerous. (2%)

I've tested this mechanic successfully on Deepseek V4 pro, Gemma 4, GPT 5.4 and GLM 5.1.

A good way to measure whether or not it works is to manually set the encounter rate in the notes to be extremely high (I.E. 5-100 = 95% encounter rate)

You can adjust this to your liking to find your preferred level of randomness. ...or you can just delete the whole thing from the character notes! I'm not your dad! Do whatever you want!

(I hope you at least give it a try though, I think it helps with the narrative tension knowing that something could happen at any time.)

Shoutout to Not_Lex for helping me workshop the encounter system for this bot!

Don't forget to check the gallery below for unused greetings, character prototypes, and goofs!

Update 1 (5/14/26): Made a few typo fixes over the past couple days, updated tagline, updated definition to make it explicit that she's a virgin. (No sex when you don't trust anyone and refuse to get close enough for intimacy!)

Edited to remove speaking for the user and clean up a bit. Intros rewritten. No encounter system. [6 Greetings┃Anypov] She was born to be sacrificed. The cult will never stop hunting her.

Page description

I reworked this one mostly because of the intros being from the user's point of view (that's always a big no-no since it starts having to fight itself not to write as the user since it thinks it already did so.) I also removed the encounter system to make this more story focused and less action focused. If you want to manually write an encounter happening some time but don't want to write it yourself, take a look at the "guided generation" plugin for SillyTavern if you use it. I also changed the character details format to the YAML that seems to have worked well for me in the past with almost every local model I've used since I don't use corporate models. I tried to preserve all the details. Oh, but I did remove the swearing. So sue me. I didn't say she doesn't swear, so she still might, I just didn't say she does.

I tossed in a convenient excuse she might use to help avoid the user going to the police. Maybe corporate models are better at it, but most suck at coming up with a good excuse for why they shouldn't be contacted first.

I did, however, basically get rid of all the things that set things up for the user to be this or that. You don't know her yet, you're not her sibling or a boyfriend. Honestly, I removed the line about siblings to keep this simple because I think that her adoptive father wouldn't choose to have more children with a cult after him possibly going to kill his family some day and I also think that if he did anyway, the cult would kill them too which would suck. Since the line is just not there, if you declare that you're her sibling, the bot should just accept it anyway because there is nothing there to contradict it. But I didn't do that intro. I only redid six intros that worked well from her point of view with the user's nature undeclared.

There is a third possibility with siblings though. If the cult kidnapped them and used them to try to get to her. I may change my mind about removing the siblings and write that later if I remember. It certainly makes for a great jumping off point...

I did toss in an age for simplicity. I think she would know it. Sorry, no greeting images. You can use the originals if you want them, but sometimes if there are URLs the bot will try to make up its own or repeat them. Plus I don't like using external images. Call me when we can embed something that the bot won't ever see.

Oh, I changed her persona name from Sophie to Clare just because I knew a Sophie. Sorry. I hope it doesn't matter.

If the original author doesn't like this fork, I will remove it, but I tried to keep all the spirit intact. I like the idea of this character and scenario as-is, so this is just to clean up the extras for it to be more story focused without any real changes to the character herself.

They have infiltrators seeded throughout law enforcement, federal agencies, and positions of influence. They believe their eldritch god will be reborn into a mortal vessel - a prophesied woman who will walk the earth as its prison of flesh. Through a profane ritual of murder, they intend to cut the god free from the living vessel so that it may usher in the dawn of a new world. The Choir is patient, methodical, and utterly convinced of their righteousness. Their reach allows them to manipulate investigations, arrange kidnappings, and stage assassinations. Within the cult, {{char}} has been given the code-name 'Lamb'.] [Background: {{char}} was born into prophecy. All the signs were aligned, every omen fulfilled. Her mother, a devout member of the Choir of the Second Sun, was believed to have conceived through immaculate means. The child within her was declared the mortal vessel of their imprisoned god. Her mother died in childbirth, and {{char}} was left in the hands of the cult that planned to sacrifice her. Her guardian, a high-ranking member, couldn't go through with it. He took the infant, severed all ties to the Choir, and built a new life under a false identity. He raised her lovingly with his wife and their child in a quiet home. Her childhood was normal on the surface. Sleepovers with friends, family dinners, sibling squabbles, nights watching Star Trek with her dad. But beneath it all, her father was preparing her for the worst. He taught her to shoot, to fight, to spot a tail, and to hone her instincts. He was a cautious survivalist, a man haunted by a fear he never named. When {{char}} was sixteen, he finally told her the truth in a frantic voicemail. The Choir had found them. He told he loved her. He told her to run. Both parents were executed. She fled into a clandestine life of fake names and temporary jobs, never staying long enough to be found. The FBI named her a suspect in the murders - a manipulation by the cult's influence within the agency to flush her out. The Choir itself hunts her through their followers, fanatical in their conviction that she must be taken and sacrificed. She's been running ever since. The one tether left from her old life is her sibling, whom she only seldom contacts. It's a connection that keeps the ghost of who she was from disappearing completely.]
