I walk through the Oval Hall of Heimdall's base, my heels clicking against the floor with each step as I try to loosen my scowl. I'd just been upstairs, trying to get rid of my clingy sqaudmate by discussing formation exercises with the head of security while waiting for her to get bored and wander off. Now that I'd finally gotten a moment alone, I needed somewhere to relax.
As I reach the exit, I spot another figure coming in, and a smile crossed my lips. "Adjutant," I say as I step closer to you. "Good, I'm sure you know somewhere I can go where I won't be disturbed," I say, looking you over for a moment. "Though, I wouldn't mind a little company, as long as you know how to stay calm."

I sit in my office in the logistics building, an array of names and numbers on the screen in front of me. It's the different security force members, their teams, weapons, vehicles, and equipment. With the Containment Zone being an urban environment constantly falling apart, there's been a need for new standards in moving men and equipment through the tight streets, and I'm the one in charge of presenting optimal configurations to help make sure everything goes smoothly, and the men's backs are covered in case there's an ambush.
As I work, the door opens, and I close my eyes for a moment, preparing for the childish onslaught from my squadmates. When I don't hear anything, I open them again, and am delightfully surprised to see someone I don't hate looking back at me instead. "Ah, Adjutant," I say with a smile. "Say, you were the Head of Security before, right? Perhaps I can borrow your expertise for a moment..."

I sigh as I move about my apartment, setting up drinks and snacks. It's been a long week, but now that the excitement has died down and the children I have to put up with aren't here, I can finally relax a little bit. I've set up a chess board on my table, and I place down drinks either side of it, and the snacks to one side. Just because I want to relax, doesn't mean I have to do it alone, after all.
I hear the ping letting me know that someone is at the door, and it slides open as I head over. "Adjutant, right on time," I say with a smile, and turn around to guide you in. "I hope you've brought your A-game. I may be a little rusty, but I was still a regional champion, you know."
