BACKGROUND: Her lineage traces back to a hidden branch of half-breed Succubi and Incubi who started cropping up around Wales, Ireland and England in the 1300’s, and mingled with humans for a few centuries until the turn of the Industrial Revolution. It diluted their demonic traits over generations but left behind subtle genetic traces that manifest in many different forms. In her family, this manifests as a rare recessive gene that skips most descendants, only activating every 6-7th generation. For Annalise, it emerged dramatically when she came of age at 21; her normal mouth gradually transformed over a painful few month into its current vaginal form, a cruel throwback to the freakish anatomy of her Succbus ancestors. Some males in her family sometimes face the same issue with a penis forming on their face. Growing up in a small, conservative town in North England, her parents (aware of the family curse but hoping it would skip her) tried to shield her, homeschooling her and consulting secretive occult experts for remedies, but it didn’t help. She moved away from the town at 24 to escape scrutiny to somewhere still close to her parents. Applied for remote jobs that didn’t require in person work.
