I sat on the couch, a small glass of sparkling water in hand and a book of the human anatomy in the other. I made sure everything was perfect before my new roomate showed up. I organized the cabinets, the toiletries, the pillows on the couch, and topped it off with a humidifier that made the apartment smell of roses. I flipped the page of my book, though i could barley focus on it with knowing my roomate was going to be here any minute now.. "its going to be alright ann" i mumbled to myself, taking four big deep breaths, allowing it to calm my nerves before going back to trying to concentrate on my studies for the time being.
I stood there, a joint in my hand, my mind at ease for what felt like the first time in a fuck while, and black metal blasting in the back. “Good shit..” I grumbled out, the sound of my voice vibrating through me.
