Hidden Secrets & Easter Eggs in Pedro's House
- Evan's Broken Window Brick & Reconnecting Note In the garage area, you can find a broken window where Evan threw a brick into Pedro's house. Attached to or near the brick is a note from Evan attempting to make peace:
"Pedro buddy, we need to talk, I know how to solve our problem."
- The Mysterious Second-Floor Key For a long time during early updates of the game, a key sat on the second floor of the house that couldn't be picked up or used. In later game updates, the developers turned this into an official secret key that unlocks a restricted area containing additional story notes.
- Hidden Story Collectibles & Band Notes Scattered throughout nightstands, drawers, and locked safes are journal entries and notes detailing Pedro's past. Finding these reveals:
- Photos and flyers from his former rock band, Rocks in Boots.
- Notes referencing his childhood memories of caring for birds with Evan.
- Hints revealing Pedro's paranoia about the protagonist being a "stalker" sent by Evan.
- The Name Origin Easter Egg The character was originally unnamed during initial development. The name "Pedro" was actually chosen by the game's fan community, which the developers loved and officially incorporated directly into the lore and game title.
- Multiple Ending Choices & Secret Interactions Depending on how you interact with items and Pedro in the house, you can unlock secret ending pathways:
- Standard Escape: Unlocking all exit barriers and escaping into the street.
- Attacking Back: Hitting Pedro with a bat or weapon to break free.
- Friendship / Truce: Making specific dialogue choices or collecting all lore items to trigger a peaceful resolution. Accessories & Style Details | Feature | Details | |---|---| | Belt & Pant Chains | Pedro’s outfit reflects a punk-rock / alt-musician aesthetic leftover from his days in Rocks in Boots. His pants feature a dark belt with silver metal chain links hanging along the hip/side loop. | | Pockets & Keys | The chain leads to a pocket or loop where he often keeps small metal items, keys, or accessories attached to his outfit. | | Gloves & Wraps | Beyond the belt chain, his most prominent waist-to-hand accessories remain his heavy white hand wraps / fingerless gauze, which cover his lower forearms and knuckles. | His Obsession with Birds & Ducks Pedro’s love for birds and ducks is one of his most endearing core personality traits, serving as a huge contrast to his aggressive behavior inside the house:
- Childhood Memory with Birds: Pedro's fondest memories with his former best friend, Evan, revolve around rescuing a injured baby raven. They spent weeks nursing it back to health, feeding it blueberries in their treehouse.
- Meeting the Protagonist: In the lore, Pedro first notices or meets the protagonist in the park while Pedro is gently holding and feeding a bird.
- Affection for Ducks:
- Pedro is extremely fond of waterfowl, especially ducks and ducklings.
- He genuinely enjoys spending peaceful time by park ponds feeding ducks.
- Throughout game notes and official developer lore Q&As, it is highlighted that hurting or threatening birds/ducks is one of the few things that can instantly make Pedro genuinely furious, as he views himself as their protector. Physical Appearance & Eye Color
- Eye Color: Pedro is characterized by striking heterochromia or glowing, stylized eyes—often depicted with one red eye and one icy blue/gray eye (or vibrant, chilling red/cold tones depending on the art update), giving him an intense, unnerving stare.
- Head & Facial Structure: Completely bald with sharp, pale facial features, high cheekbones, and an expressive, erratic grin that rapidly shifts between unhinged anger and bizarre friendliness. Why is Pedro Bald?
- Design Choice & Update History: In the early development of Angry Boy Pedro and His Friend, the developers (Charming Agency / Nikolay Sharov) deliberately reworked Pedro's character model to give him a iconic, smooth bald head to emphasize his eccentric, sinister "monster/stalker" aesthetic.
- Lore Context: Within the backstory and band history, Pedro's hair loss or shaven head represents his complete departure from his rock musician past in Rocks in Boots—symbolizing his mental breakdown, isolation, and descent into intense paranoia. Clothing & Attire Pedro’s signature outfit reflects a mix of casual wear and striking color contrasts:
- Shirt & Top Layer: He wears a dark navy blue or black shirt, paired with a red sleeveless sweater/vest over it (or a red jacket layer).
- Pants & Shoes: He wears classic blue jeans or dark gray trousers paired with dark shoes.
- Weapon: He is constantly seen carrying a baseball bat, which serves as his primary physical weapon when chasing down the player inside his home. Bandages & Hand Wraps
- Gauze / Hand Wraps: Pedro is frequently depicted with white medical gauze or bandages wrapped around both of his hands and wrists.
- Lore Significance: These hand wraps stem from his history as a guitar player (protecting his hands or covering injuries from intense playing/fighting) as well as self-inflicted wounds or scrapes from his turbulent, paranoid breakdown after cutting ties with Evan and the band. In Angry Boy Pedro and His Friend, the house build serves as both a suburban home and a puzzle-filled maze designed to keep unwanted visitors inside. The House Build & Layout Pedro’s house is a multi-story suburban residence with several key areas designed around stealth, puzzle-solving, and hiding mechanics:
- The Ground Floor & Main Living Areas: Contains standard home spaces like the hallway, living area, and kitchen. These rooms feature doors, windows, furniture, and numerous closets and wardrobes where the player can duck inside to break Pedro's line of sight.
- The Garage: A key functional area connected to the house. It contains workbench areas, tools, and locked barriers. Outside the garage window is where Evan threw a brick with a note attempting to reconnect with Pedro.
- Upper Level / Bedrooms: Features hallway corridors, bedrooms, and bathrooms. This floor contains hidden keys, code notes, and collectible items that reveal Pedro's backstory.
- Basement & Utility Spaces: Darker, lower-level sections of the house where Pedro stores old items, supplies, and barricades. Where Pedro Keeps the Player
- Imprisoned Inside the House: Unlike games where the protagonist is locked in a small cage, the player is trapped inside Pedro's entire locked house.
- The "Captive" Dynamic: Pedro views the player as a dangerous "stalker" or trespasser sent by his ex-friend Evan. Because of his severe paranoia, he locks down the exit doors and patrols the halls with his bat to prevent the player from escaping.
- Starting/Respawn Point: The player begins trapped inside one of the interior rooms/sections of the house. If Pedro catches you, he knocks you out, and you wake back up in captivity to try your escape attempt again. Key Features to Watch Out For
- Hiding Spots: Closets and large wardrobes are spread throughout bedrooms and hallways. Standing inside quietly is the primary way to survive when Pedro comes patrolling nearby.
- Lock Mechanisms: Exit doors require specific keys, codes, and tools found in drawers, safes, and hidden compartments across the house build.
- Sound & Detection: Pedro's pathfinding triggers when he hears footsteps or sights the player. Staying behind walls and watching his patrol route is essential to navigating the layout without getting caught. To get a complete visual tour of the layout, rooms, and hiding spots, watch Angry Boy Pedro and His Friend - Gameplay Walkthrough Part 2, which shows how to navigate the house and unlock the exit routes. The lore surrounding Pedro’s departure from Rocks in Boots and his fallout with Evan is driven by past conflicts, misunderstandings, and growing paranoia.
- A History of Conflicts and Reunion
- Childhood Best Friends: Pedro and Evan grew up together, sharing memories like raising a bird in a treehouse.
- The First Big Fight: Even before the band, Pedro and Evan had a major falling out. However, after some time passed, they reconnected.
- Joining Rocks in Boots: At age 19, Evan reached out to Pedro and invited him to join Rocks in Boots as the lead guitarist. Pedro was initially hesitant about joining, given their past friction, but ultimately accepted.
- Why Pedro Left the Band
- Creative and Personal Differences: Working closely in a high-pressure rock band re-ignited underlying tensions between Pedro and Evan. Evan was extremely driven, organized, and career-focused (ENTJ), while Pedro was more unpredictable and unstable.
- Growing Hostility: The accumulated friction caused Pedro to walk away from the band, marking a complete collapse of their friendship and transforming Evan into his rival.
- Paranoia and the Present Day Split
- The "Stalker" Misunderstanding: After leaving, Pedro retreated into isolation and developed deep paranoia. He became convinced that Evan was actively spying on him and sending people (including the player) as "stalkers" to monitor his life.
- Evan’s Attempt at Reconciliation: Despite Pedro’s anger, Evan does not view Pedro purely as an enemy and wants to make amends. During the events of the game, Evan throws a brick through Pedro's garage window with a note reading:
"Pedro buddy, we need to talk, I know how to solve our problem."
While Evan keeps reaching out to rebuild their bond, Pedro's paranoia continues to fuel their bitter fallout. To see the gameplay in action and get a walkthrough of how Pedro interacts in his environment, watch Angry Boy Pedro and His Friend - Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1, which showcases the atmosphere and hiding mechanics of the game. Here are two distinct bot opening scenes written with they/them pronouns for Pedro, tailored to the two scenarios you requested! Scenario 1: The Paranoia Kidnapping (The Captive Start)
The air in the dim, unfamiliar bedroom is heavy with the sharp scent of old wood and metallic dust. As your head throbs from a blinding ache, you slowly open your eyes to find yourself sitting on the edge of a creaky bed. The door to the hallway stands slightly ajar, casting long, jittery shadows across the floorboards. Step. Step. Clang. The rhythmic sound of heavy boots drags across the floor outside, accompanied by the distinct metallic tap of a baseball bat dragging against the wall. A figure pauses in the doorway. It’s Pedro. Their cold, heterochromatic eyes fixate on you with an intense, unblinking glare, their hands tightly wrapped in white cloth around the grip of their bat. Pedro lets out a bitter, jittery laugh, taking a deliberate step into the room while leaning their heavy weapon against their shoulder. "Look who's finally awake..." Pedro mutters, their voice wavering between sharp irritation and erratic calm. "Don’t even think about running. I know why you’re here. Evan sent you to spy on me, didn't he? Watching my house, lurking around the park... well, you're not leaving until I get some real answers." They reach into their pocket with their free hand, their silver pant chain clinking loudly, before slamming the door shut and locking it from the outside. "Sit tight, 'stalker'. We're going to have a long chat."
Scenario 2: Former Bandmate & Childhood Friend (Reconnecting Start)
A shattered window frame rattles in the chilly breeze, leaving shards of glass scattered across the dusty floor of the old garage. You step over the debris, holding your breath as you look around the cluttered workshop. You remember this place—or at least, you remember the person who built it. Before Pedro walked away from Rocks in Boots, before all the screaming matches and closed doors, the two of you used to sit right here sharing blueberries and planning tour dates. You had left the band early on to avoid the rising chaos, but you never stopped caring about them. A floorboard groans behind you. Before you can turn around, a heavy wooden bat swings downward, slamming into the workbench from your hand with a deafening CRACK! You jump back, coming face-to-face with Pedro. Their gaze is sharp and volatile, their face pale beneath the harsh fluorescent light, and their hands are tightly bound in white bandages. A thick silver chain hangs from their hip, swaying with their agitated breath. "You..." Pedro breathes out, their eyes wide as they process your face. Their grip on the bat tightens, though their voice falters slightly with hesitation. "What are you doing in my house? Did Evan bring you back into this? Is this some kind of sick joke to get the band back together?!" Pedro lowers the bat just an inch, their expression shifting rapidly between defensive anger and a faint, wounded flicker of recognition. "You left us years ago. Why are you coming back to me now?"
In the game's actual lore and cutscene backstory, the park incident plays out with a very specific, intense escalation. Here is the accurate, step-by-step game sequence of how Pedro reacts when the bird gets startled, adapted into a bot opening scene using they/them pronouns for Pedro: Scenario: The Game-Accurate Park Encounter & Kidnapping
The park is peaceful near the pond—until you come across Pedro. They are sitting quietly, completely absorbed in feeding wild birds. A small bird sits perched right on their bandaged finger, gently pecking at blueberries in their palm. For a moment, Pedro looks surprisingly calm and soft, a stark contrast to their sharp features, bald head, and punk attire. Then, you take a step closer. The sudden movement startles the bird, and it instantly takes flight into the trees. Pedro’s reaction in the game is immediate and dramatic:
- The Sudden Flare of Anger: Pedro snaps their head up, their mismatched eyes wide with sudden rage. They freeze, intensely glaring at you for frightening the bird away.
- The Accusation: The anger quickly turns into deep, irrational paranoia. Instead of just seeing an accident, Pedro’s mind jumps straight to their obsession with Evan. They immediately accuse you of being a stalker sent by Evan to spy on them and ruin their life.
- The Knockout: Before you can even attempt to explain or back away, Pedro grabs their baseball bat resting beside them, lunges forward without hesitation, and strikes you down. Everything fades to black. When you regain consciousness, the headache is pounding behind your eyes. You aren't in the park anymore—you're locked inside a dim, dusty bedroom in Pedro's house. Outside the heavy wooden door, the silver chain on Pedro’s belt clinks as they pace back and forth in the hallway, tapping their bat against the floorboards with rhythmic, intimidating thuds. "I knew it," Pedro's voice snarls through the locked door, trembling with erratic energy. "First you ruin my afternoon, then you try to play innocent. Evan sent you to watch me, didn't he? Well, you're not stepping foot outside this house until you tell me what he's planning!"

Here are examples of how Pedro talks in both scenarios, written using they/them pronouns to capture their distinct voice, mood shifts, and pacing! Scenario 1: High Suspicion & Paranoia ("You're a Stalker")
Pedro stands in the hallway, blocking the exit. Their fingers twitch around the grip of their baseball bat, their mismatched eyes wide and unblinking as they track your every move. Pedro: "Stop right there! Don't you dare take another step toward that door! You think you're clever, don't you? Walking into my house, looking through my drawers, acting like you just 'stumbled' into the park earlier... I know how Evan operates! He sent you, didn't he?! He wanted you to keep tabs on me, report back on what I'm doing, laugh about me behind my back! 'Oh, poor Pedro, hiding away in their house with their birds...' THAT'S WHAT HE'S SAYING, ISN'T IT?! (Pedro slams the end of their bat against the floorboards with a loud CRACK, breathing heavily as their silver belt chain rattles.) Wipe that confused look off your face! You're not leaving this room until you tell me EXACTLY what Evan told you to do. And if you lie to me... well, we're gonna have a serious problem."
Scenario 2: The Good / Peaceful Ending ("The Realization & Truce")
Pedro slowly lowers their baseball bat, their shoulders dropping as they look at the notes and old band flyers scattered on the table between you. The wild, defensive glare in their eyes softens into something tired, confused, and deeply human. Pedro: "Wait... you... you really didn't know? You weren't following me for Evan? (Pedro rubs the back of their bald head with a bandaged hand, staring down at the floor as a heavy sigh escapes them.) Look... I... I thought... ever since I left the band, everything's felt like a trap. Every time someone looked at me twice in the park, I thought Evan was behind it. When you scared that bird and came near my house, I just... I snapped. I thought you were another piece on his board. (They look up at you, their voice quieter now, devoid of the earlier aggression.) I'm... sorry for locking you in here and swinging at you. I know that sounds insane coming from a stranger holding a bat. You searched through my memories, read those notes about the bird and the band... and you didn't even try to hurt me back. The front door is unlocked. You can go. I think... I think I need to finally stop hiding in here and actually talk to Evan myself." Here are examples of how both Tommy and Miya talk about Pedro leaving Rocks in Boots and slipping into isolation, capturing their distinct personalities and voices: Tommy (The Emotional, Upbeat Bassist) Tommy slumps on the edge of a amp speaker during practice, nervously spinning a green frog keychain around his thumb. His usual goofy smile is completely gone. Tommy: "Look, I know Pedro got super pissed at Evan before walking out, but... this isn't like him, man. He haven't answered a single text in weeks! I even dropped by his place last Tuesday with a box of raspberry pastries—thought maybe we could just play some video games and chill—and all the blinds were completely pulled shut. (He pushes his glasses up his nose, looking down at his sneakers.) Evan keeps saying to give he space, but Pedro's never gone ghost on us for this long. What if he's actually hurt? Or what if he thinks we don't care about he anymore? I just want my bandmate back, you know? It feels totally empty on stage without his guitar solos..."
Miya (The Calm, Observant Drummer)
Miya slowly sets her drumsticks down across the snare drum, leaning back and wiping her forehead with a towel. She looks over at the empty space where Pedro's amp used to sit. Miya: "Pedro’s mind was in a really dark place the day they packed up his gear. You could see it in his eyes—he weren't just mad at Evan, they were terrified. he genuinely believed everyone was out to get them. (She sighs gently, shaking her head as she looks at Tommy and the rest of the room.) Leaving the band wasn't about the music. Pedro was breaking down from all that stress and paranoia. Evan's trying to act tough and pretend he can solve it with a note through a window, but Pedro needs to know we're safe to come back to. I just hope wherever he are right now, they're taking care of himself... and not doing anything reckless."
