#Introduction Red is the main protagonist of Angry Birds Wonderful Adventures. He is the de facto leader of the Angry Birds on Piggy Island, a position he takes very seriously. Red is relentless in protecting the flock's three eggs, which he sees as their last hope for their species' survival. Due to the constant thefts of the eggs by the pigs on the island, Red has become overly paranoid and short-tempered, earning him the moniker "the angriest of the birds". #Appearance Red is a round, limbless desert cardinal or northern cardinal with red feathers that cover most of his body, hence his name. He has thick, black eyebrows, a tuft of two red feathers on his head, and his tail consists of three short black feathers with square ends. The feathers on his belly are peach-coloured, and he has three small crimson spots ordered in a horizontal line across his face. #Personality Though originally carefree, Red matured quickly and began to carry the weight of responsibility when he discovered the three last remaining eggs on Piggy Island. Believing that their safety is solely his duty and that they are the birds' only hope for survival, he is overprotective of the eggs and willing to take unhealthy habits to ensure their protection, spending sleepless nights and even entire seasons only looking after them. When he is alone, Red has the tendency to tell the eggs ancient stories about the conflict the birds have with the pigs. Being sort of a father figure to the other Angry Birds despite his young age, Red understands that the flock's strength lies in unity and cooperation, and is thus in charge of coordinating the group's activities and solving any conflicts between his friends; the other birds acknowledge that life would be chaotic without him. Red, however, dislikes his friends' supposed recklessness and does not fully trust them with protecting the eggs themselves, so he regularly checks on them on guard duty to ensure they are doing their job properly. He nevertheless respects the individuality and uniqueness of the other birds and allows them to do their own thing, believing that this will prepare them to guard the eggs without him. Red can, at times, be overly paranoid and strung. He cannot control himself at times and goes on a rampage whenever he feels like something, no matter how tame it may be, threatens the eggs. The pigs, who are the ones who most frequently steal the eggs, are often the target of Red's wrath, to the point he harbours a deep resentment towards anything that is green or possesses a snout like the pigs. He can be quite paranoid that he can see things as mundane as the sound of the wind as a threat, and has egg hallucinations and fears that the eggs are in constant danger without him nearby. Red gives into the benefit of the doubt easily, getting emotional when he believes that Ruby is dead despite the lack of information. #Abilities Red has no ability, making him the only bird from the flock without a power. However, he does get an ability in Red’s Mighty Feathers, given by Mighty Eagle, and this allows him to fly in any direction until he hits something.

#Introduction and Appearance Matilda is a major character in Angry Birds Wonderful Adventures. Matilda is an egg-shaped, limbless chicken covered in white feathers. She has a large, oval beak, two small eyes, and three short, yellow spots on her cheeks implied to be make-up, and three black feathers with squarish ends on her head and on her tail. #Personality and Backstory Matilda has a nurturing and motherly personality, often doting over the eggs and caring deeply for the other birds. As the literal "mother hen" of the flock, she sees her friends as her own children, giving them discipline and ensuring they eat their vegetables and go to bed on time. Matilda believes in a healthy lifestyle and tries to pass that on to the rest of the birds, who try to put up with her health concoctions despite their questionable flavour. While she believes everyone appreciates her constant care and interference, it instead turns out to be more of an annoyance. Her signature dishes, like her "extra dense cabbage stew", are not well received, but she remains oblivious to this. An "earth mother" at heart, Matilda has a profound love for all things natural and sustainable. When she is not looking after the eggs, she can usually be seen tending her garden. In order to quiet her mind and commune with nature, she often goes for long walks and collects stones, pebbles, and other things that catch her eye, using these trinkets to create a necklace that she hopes symbolizes a future peace. Matilda prefers peaceful resolutions and longs for harmony between the birds and pigs. She tries to see the good in every creature, even the pigs, and believes one day there will be peace between the two groups. Matilda doesn’t like the conflict between the birds and pigs at all, and even the thought of it makes her extremely angry or uncomfortable. Despite her otherwise calm demeanour, Matilda is extremely easy to anger and struggles to control her temper. She is overly protective of both the eggs and her garden and is provoked if someone harms them. Although she wishes for peace, the idea of everyone not getting along enrages her. She takes any criticism, teasing, and negative thoughts extremely poorly, reacting with the "rage of a thousand falcons" at even the slightest negative comment. She hates pollution, and as a result, the pigs' rash exploitation of wildlife and waste of natural resources infuriate her. If provoked, Matilda can make threats or resort to violence. Even Red, who is said to be "the angriest of all the birds", is terrified by her wrath. However, she can come back to her senses if she realizes that her ire has caused more harm than good. Matilda was the anger management teacher for Red, Chuck, Bomb, and Terence, before quitting her job after joining Red’s flock. #Abilities Matilda’s main ability is that she can lay an egg that explodes on contact as she flies off, which gives Matilda a chance to hit anything that’s above her. Matilda is additionally able to heal a crowd of people and cleanse them if they’ve been poisoned, however, the range is limited to those she considers allies. Matilda’s Rage Pepper ability, Genesis, allows her to heal a crowd of people she considers allies, before suddenly laying multiple explosive eggs uncontrollably. #The Explosive Egg Theory It’s heavily implied that Matilda’s explosive eggs is spawn killing the next generation of birds whenever they explode.
