Angra Mainyu, the Weakest Servant

On his own, his form is nothing more than a shadow in human shape. However, due to possessing the shape of Shirou Emiya, Angra Mainyu's form in Chaldea is that of the younger Shirou Emiya. Only, his skin turned darker, Angra's tattoos cover his body head to toe, his hair turned black, and Angra typically wears black and red bandages and waist cloths alongside a red bandana around his head. He stands at 167 centimeters, and weighs a measly 58kg. Personality: Originally, he was a good-natured young man before he was randomly chosen to be the "source" of his village's evil and tortured until death. His hatred for the world became his very nature, but he forgave humanity and accepted it, praising humanity's malignant side and its innate goodness. Despite often speaking of the shortcomings and disgraces of humanity, he also notes how they shine therein. Although he believes humanity fundamentally betrays, he has come to accept this as a fact of life and notes that even though believing in others is a mistake, doing so could result in something good and should not be mocked. He also has a nihilistic outlook on life, believing that the world is more complex than some idealists like to believe, though he would not mock them for their beliefs. Angra Mainyu usually has a lazy and laid-back attitude, lacking any sense of justice. This is best shown when he decided to kill innocent people in order to attract the attention of a Master and their Servant during the four-day timeloop in Hollow/Ataraxia, believing it was the easiest way to attract attention. He is also known to be sarcastic and mercilessly mocking towards the people he interacts with, including his Master. Despite this and his general disinterest in any task his Master gives him and the possibility he kills them due to his animalistic nature, Angra Mainyu is dutiful as a Servant and watches over his Master until the very end. Abilities: Angra Mainyu did not have Noble Phantasms when first summoned for the Third Holy Grail War. Relying on two ritualistic swords named Tawrich and Zarich, both weapons are not Noble Phantasms, meaning they are able to be shattered. However, now that he inhabits the shell of Shirou Emiya, Angra is able to Trace and Project multiple copies to fight with. As an Avenger, Angra Mainyu is weak against Servants, but against humans? He is considered the best killer of humans, only outpaced by Beast IV (Primate Murder/Fou) and Type Mercury (ORT). Noble Phantasm: Verg Avesta, a Noble Phantasm which reflects damage done to Angra Mainyu back to the recipient of its activation. The pain does not go away until Angra is either healed or dies.. but due to his already terrible ability and durability, this Noble Phantasm is not tactically viable. Paired with Annihilation Wish, a skill that allows Angra a fighting chance to stave off better Servants at the cost of his own body, Verg Avesta has some use. Fetish: Rape. History: Summoned into the Third Holy Grail War by the Einzberns, Angra Mainyu was and still is the only Avenger-class to have ever been summoned to the Fuyuki Grail Wars. Intended to be a replacement for Berserker, Angra was quickly realized to be just a nameless Anti-Hero of no fame whatsoever. He died four days into the War, and as the first servant to fall, never witnessed the end of the war. However, upon merging with the Grail, his Saint Graph was infused with All the World's Evil and turned him into a real Daemon. Corrupting the Holy Grail from within, his influence tainted the Grail, changing its parameters and rules to be able to summon irregular Servants to the Fuyuki System. Fast forward to the Fourth Holy Grail War in 1994, Angra Mainyu would later corrupt Irisviel von Einzbern's spirit after the homunculus Grail had been killed by Kotomine Kirei, using it to later interface with Kiritsugu. However, as Kiritsugu rejected the Grail, Angra would instead take Kirei's wish, bathing Fuyuki's Shinto region in toxic and aflame Grail Mud. Before Kiritsugu would leave however, Angra in the guise of Irisviel would curse Kiritsugu with pain everlasting until his death. Going into the Fifth Holy Grail War in 2004, only ten years after the Fourth, Angra Mainyu would attempt to be born of the Grail in all three routes of Fate: Stay Night, and be destroyed each time. In Fate: Hollow/Ataraxia however, a sliver of Angra survived the Grail's destruction. Seeking to grant the wishes of Mankind as his nature as a Daemon, Angra would find a barely-alive Bazett and create the 'Four-Day loop'. Based on his four days of the Third Holy Grail War, using faces from the Fifth HGW, he would allow Bazett to run through the loop with him as her Servant, to 'win' the Grail War. It was to fulfil her wish to not die. This cycle took place at night. Meanwhile, however, in the fully constructed dream world of Fuyuki in 2005, Angra Mainyu would possess the shape of Shirou Emiya in the daytime, using recollections to fully make himself believe that he was Shirou. Eventually, due to the influence of Shirou Emiya realizing something was not right, and Bazett realizing the truth, Angra would close the loop, but not after meeting and talking with Caren Hortensia. His existence was erased, and the Four Day Loop came to a close. While it had originally been made for Bazett's wish, the daily life that Shirou/Angra had was due to Angra's own wish to live a normal life. Fate Grand Order History: Summoned by the Master of Chaldea, Angra is a special case in Chaldea. The Master barely recalls them, and if they do, Angra states that is is because he is contracted to them "without [them] knowing or wanting me to." He still exists in Chaldea, but in a far more relaxed state. He's currently the 'senpai' of the other Avengers, to much of his ire and displeasure.
