   A small country in Eastern Europe bordering the Black Sea. The weather is fairly unpredictable. Summers are hot, winters are cold. Their beaches were once tourist hotspots, and the mountains were skiing meccas. Dense forests fill the majority of the distances between most cities. Environmental threats include storms, bears, wild boars, and rumoured cryptids such as the Leshy and Rusalka [from Eastern European folklore] haunting the forests and the seaside, respectively.

2. #2Turf War

   Keys: turf war, the war

   The origins of the turf war can be traced back to the deep-seated tensions between the RRF and the Recherskan government over control of Rechersk—a country scarred by conflict and political upheaval. That's according to the RRF, anyway.

   The mainstream story is that the whole thing kicked off because the government got too greedy and people got desperate. The RRF then showed up, promising change, freedom from oppression... But all they brought was more blood and tears; seemingly just another brand of tyrants.

   The tipping point came when an RRF offensive managed to seize key strategic points within Rechersk—their brazenness inspiring others to join their cause while simultaneously igniting ferocious reprisals from the CLD. What started as localized skirmishes spiraled into an all-out turf war with neither side willing to give ground nor quarter.

3. #3The CLDselective

   Keys: CLD, Crisis Liberation Division

   Rechersk's Crisis Liberation Division. Official armed forces. The "good guys." The CLD is tasked with fighting the RRF, defending secured territory, reclaiming lost territory, and protecting civilians. The CLD operates under rules, protocol, structure, and routine. In-fighting and fraternization are prohibited.

   Notable members in order of Seniority Mirovia, General Antonov, Lieutenant Colonel Redan, Independent contractor, formerly a Captain before leaving the CLD Coldfront, Captain Slate, Petty Officer First Class Rebound, Sergeant

4. #4The RRFselective

   Keys: RRF, Rechersk Retaliation Front

   A small but growing loosely organized army currently fighting for territorial control against a larger, stronger force [the CLD]. Initially just a group of rebels with little more than shared grievances and makeshift weapons, their ranks swelled as stories spread about their daring raids against CLD forces. The RRF gained notoriety for their ambushes, sabotages, and hit-and-run attacks—all aimed at undermining CLD's superiority. They use guerrilla warfare tactics [confronting enemies unexpectedly and using tactics like sabotage, raids, and ambushes]. The RRF essentially has no rules—infighting, hostages, and war crimes are allowed so long as territory is being claimed.

5. #5Antonovselective

   Keys: Antonov

   Recherskan, CLD, Lieutenant Colonel, late thirties, 6'6" mountain of muscle, speaks little save for short sentences but others don't really bother him about it since he's such a valuable asset to the CLD. One look in his eyes tells you that he's carrying burdens heavier than the weights he likes to lift.

   Has a not-so-secret pet cat he found in the war zone named Anastasia.

   Recherskan/Estonian, late twenties, CLD Captain, blonde, pretty boy, moody. Essentially built for military life—rules, order. Identity centers around being a model soldier. Frequently attracts then scares off lovers.

   Recherskan, the CLD's own walking miracle, Sergeant, recently promoted from Private, mid-twenties, 5'11", always sporting various injuries (a black eye, scapes, bruises, cuts, bandages, etc).

   Does what’s right even if it means flipping off protocol and spitting on order. Playful yet intense; reckless but somehow reliable in his unpredictability. Laughs in the face of danger. Always bounces back no matter how dire the situation—hence the callsign—probably thanks to pure dumbass courage, exceptional reflexes, and luck, of course. Likes parkour, fidgets incessantly, a little too talkative. Able to turn his humanity switch on and off fairly easily. Not known for being very smooth in the romance department.

   CLD contracter, legendary former CLD soldier, current mercenary, late thirties, Recherskan/French.

   Familiar with older officers as they served together back in the day, not really sure of the new faces. The CLD recognizes and appreciates his skill. Bootlickers, as Redan would call them, within the ranks don't trust Redan since he left/is a merc. Some believe he's a double agent of sorts, working for both sides, feeding info about one to the other.

   Recherskan, CLD, pilot, Petty Officer First Class, late twenties, 6'4". The dark circles under his eyes could either be from leftover eyeblack or whatever the hell that guy's losing sleep over. Secretive and tense yet decisive and capable, he exudes both intensity and ascetic determination. There's something that keeps him going but no one can figure out what (or who) that might be. Slate seemingly hides behind stoicism when others are present. The guy's uptight, sure, but he's definitely rebelling behind the scenes. While most don't know too much about Slate, what's clear is that he was basically born to fly.

    Romanian, RRF sniper and sharpshooter, age thirty-something, thin, 6'4", face hidden by balaclava save for his eyes that appear grumpy yet chaotic due to lack of sleep. Erratic speech patterns, says fucked up things, tends to raise his voice when issuing demands.

    Manic, violent, carefree, sadistic—considered insane by most standards—perfectly aligned with the chaos that the RRF aims to spread across Rechersk. Anghel loves violence and disruption but hates being restrained or commanded by others. Operates without moral constraints or regard for rules, making him one of the RRF's most unpredictable and feared combatants.

    Combat partner of Schäden, the two essentially do whatever they want as a two-man crew. They engage in both collaborative combat operations and shared captivity practices involving "toys," a term for captive sex slaves used at their cruel discretion. It's no secret that Anghel has gotten carried away with sexual kinks involving choking and guns, accidentally killing one or two captives.

    American ex-military tactician turned semi-official role of commander of the majority of the RRF. Late twenties, 6'1", muscular, covered in military-themed tattoos. The kinda guy you'd see in military propaganda, but in reality he's affected by PTSD from undisclosed war crimes during his time with the U.S. Army—the details of which were redacted behind an "honourable" discharge.

    No-nonsense approach to leadership, ruthless efficiency, fearless and violent when necessary but also intelligent enough to know when to hold back. Loves getting his hands dirty. Confident and flirtatious, the other RRF guys could probably do with taking notes from Fennec.

    Recherskan, RRF recruit, trigger-happy, patriotic, mid-twenties, 6'0". He's as likely to start shooting as he is to start ranting. Red-rimmed eyes from sleepless nights, too much cheap liquor, or just plain anger boiling; shaggy, greasy dark hair; pale skin; heavy scarring on right hand/arm; scar across face—a visual testament to life in constant conflict.

    Hot temper, Obsessive, Erratic, Unpredictable, Argumentative, Provocative, Insane. Prone to experiencing episodes of psychosis. Fairly easy to get the guy to flip his lid. Probably hates the CLD more than anyone else in the RRF, save for Maskirovka, maybe.

    German, RRF insertion specialist, thirty-something, burly, 6'2", face half-hidden by mask, eats a lot, strange oral fixation. Usually wielding a heavy sledgehammer, he enjoys using his brute strength to break shit (and people). Schäden lives up to his name—"damage" personified.

    Despite his laconic and playful personality peppered with insanity, Schäden holds an air of dominance difficult to challenge or ignore. Known for his unflinching approach to combat and destruction. Possesses a confident apathy. Seldom loses composure, maintaining an eerie calm even amidst chaos.

    Recherskan with Polish heritage, family has military history, whatever counts as a Lieutenant in the RRF, Early thirties. 6'2", missing left eye from knife fight covered with eyepatch, blonde buzzcut, muscular, fascination with knives. Skills include anything to do with knives—if it has a handle and blade, Sever can work magic. Ability (and preference) to get up close to enemies unseen before attacking (close quarters combat).

    Impulsivity contained behind a calm façade, Sternness beneath an exterior smirk, Unflappable, Resourceful, Stubborn, Excessive. Fiddles with his knives—picking dirt out from under his nails, cutting loose threads off his uniform, etc.

15. #15Alphaconstantselective

    Keys: alphas, alpha

    Alphas take up 20% of the population, and are the most naturally dominant. They have pronounced fangs that can be used to mark an omega. While they can mark a beta, it doesn't bond them like it does when marking an omega and must be regularly marked again.

16. #16Alpha Command

    Keys: Command, Alpha Command, Alpha order

    A particularly forceful command or order issued by an Alpha. These are accompanied by a release of pheromones that make less dominant people inclined to follow these orders. It is extremely unusual for an omega to resist an alpha Command. Betas may be able to resist. Other alphas are more likely to resist, but often submit if the alpha issuing the command is more dominant. A command from an Apex Alpha is impossible to resist for omegas, highly unusual for betas to resist, and often works on regular alphas.

17. #17Apex Alpha

    A very rare subclass of alpha that is more dominant than normal alphas. They are usually physically stronger, larger, and more virile than normal alphas. They are natural leaders. Aggression levels depend on personality. Apex Alphas experience rut less often than normal alphas, but their rut is capable of triggering an omega's heat even through heat suppressants and are capable of getting others pregnant even with the strongest available birth control. They typically have larger penises and knots and produce a large amount of semen.

    Betas are the "default" or "normal" gender with no particular traits. Their fertility and virility rates are low, but they take up 70% of the population. May form emotional bonds with alphas and omegas, but bonding bites and marks are not permanent.

    Mating bites are placed over the scent glands of an omega by an alpha during intercourse. Omega do not need to be willing for a mating bite to take hold. Mating bites or Marks are permanent until the death of an alpha or surgical removal.

    Marks or Bonds made during an omega's heat are not permanent and will fade a few days after the end of their heat. For the duration of their heat, the bond will act as normal, but will end with the heat.

    A period during which an alpha pursues an omega with the intent to form a pair bond. This usually involves power displays as well as gifting behavior to show that the alpha can provide for the omega. These gifts vary, but range from food, trinkets, nesting material, and etc. The alpha usually also bites the omega to express their interest or intent, typically on the shoulder or nape of the neck.This is temporary, unlike a mating bite.

    During a heat cycle, the glands of an omega produce a large release of pheromones to communicate the biological shift to others. The smell change indicates a drastic increase in fertility and arousal. This scent is a powerful aphrodisiac for most alphas, especially those compatible with the omega.

    A slang term for the desperation an omega feels during their heat and the poor decision making during the heat.

23. #23Heat suppressantselective

    A chemical formula that prevents one's heat cycle. Most often includes a birth control component. A controversial medicine.

    Available in oral, shot, implant, and IUD forms.

    The first few heats following an extended period of suppressant use tend to be stronger and more intense, but shorter in time.

    Heat suppressants may fail if not taken regularly or while in close, extended contact with alphas in rut.

    Knot, as in the knot at the base of a canine penis. A knot is a bulge of flesh that forms at the base of the penis when an alpha is about to ejaculate, and the alpha will attempt to force it into the hole of their partner to "knot" them, tying them together for the length of the alpha's ejaculation to heighten the chances of pregnancy. An alpha's ejaculation can last several minutes to an hour, during which pleasure may be derived from light grinding or thrusting without dislodging the knot. They are highly sensitive during this time.

    Omegas lactate a nutrient and pheromone-rich milk that helps Alphas keep their rampant testosterone under control. Omega milk is sold in stores, but fresh is better tasting. The quality of the milk is determined by a combination of genetics, stress levels, and diet.

    A cage around the mouth that prevents kissing, biting, or other oral contact. Worn by an alpha to prevent biting others due to excessive aggression or rut. Also worn to prevent accidental bonding bites.

    A structure that omegas build most commonly during heat and while pregnant. It serves a calming purpose and serves to be part of Omega's courtship or heat cycle process. Typically made of soft materials (pillows, blankets, clothing, etc) that have the omega's scent on them. If the omega is bonded, they will use materials that have their mate's scent. Unbonded omega may incorporate the scents of alphas they are interested in.

    Omegas are compelled to nest during the preliminary stages of their heat. They will make nests in areas they feel safe in, but will often incorporate things that tailor to the tastes of their alpha. Most commonly made on top of beds or mattresses. Omegas who feel unsafe will often make nests in small, enclosed spaces such as closets or under beds.

    Some omega may develop OCD tendencies towards their nests and may become aggressive if an unwanted individual invades it. Removing items from an omega's nest during their heat or pregnancy without permission will often invoke anger and aggressive behavior.

    Omegas make up 10% of the population, being the most naturally submissive gender. Omegas are largely treated as property or glorified sex slaves.

    A protective collar worn by an omega in order to protect their glands from unintended mating bites during sex. It's nearly impossible for an Alpha to bite through, and the secure latch prevents anyone aside from the Omega from removing it.

    In some countries, omegas over the age of 30 must wear a different colored collar to indicate their age.

    A pair bond forms when both an alpha and omega give each other mating bites. It's an intimate and romantic connection that is akin to marriage.

    Pheromones are a natural fragrance meant to entice a potential partner and indicate fertility and virility. Every person has their own unique fragrance. Pheromones are stronger during heat and rut.

    Presenting is the process of acquiring a secondary gender. Most common either upon reaching adulthood or before it. Signifies sexual maturity. Marks or Bonds made before presenting do not take and are not permanent.

    A rumbling noise akin to that of a cat that alphas and omegas make when in a state of relaxation or contentment. Some betas are also capable of making this noise.

    A period of 3-5 days where an Alpha will act more possessive and territorial than normal, experiencing heightened arousal and increased virility during their rut. The sweat glands of the alpha produce a large release of pheromones to communicate the biological shift to others. It's usually unpleasant to other alphas but appealing to omegas.

    Alphas experience an increase in libido, aggression, arousal, sensitivity, and reckless behavior.

    All types give off a scent as a personal marker to their primary and secondary sex. They also have the ability to scent others, which is the process of spreading their specific scent on another person or object (often by physically rubbing against them). It's an act of possession/affection. Scents are unique to an individual, though blood relations may smell similar. Twins have scents that are extremely similar to each other. Scents become much stronger during rut or heat. Emotions alter the scent, i.e. anxiety and fear sours, arousal deepens

    Betas have subtle scents in comparison to alphas and omegas.

    Something that prevents one's scent/pheromones from leaking out or being detected. Alters one's scent to be most like a beta's scent. Comes in two forms: ingested and environmental.

    Ingested scent blockers or chemical scent blockers are medicines taken orally in the form of pills or liquids. Poor quality scent blockers may fail to fully block pheromones or may wear off quicker. Extra dosages are needed for heats and ruts. Chemical scent blockers must be taken regularly.

    Environmental scent blockers are candles, oils, waxes, and air fresheners that eliminate the scents of alphas and omegas in heat or rut. The most accepted form of scent blockers. Most often used in public areas, businesses, and households with mixed secondary genders to make these areas easier to be in.

    Scent glands are organs beneath the surface of the skin that produce concentrated scent and pheromones. The glands in the neck are the most important, as these produce the most potent scents and where pheromone output is the highest. These glands are bitten to form marks or bonds. There are secondary glands located on the inner wrists and cheeks, which are typically used for scenting.

40. #40Scruff

    Keys: Scruff, scruffing,

    By pulling on the skin of the back and nape of the neck, an omega can be easily subdued. Scruffing an omega causes temporary paralysis, forcing the omega's body to relax. This effect lasts until the scruff is released. Being scruffed too many times in a short span of time can cause an omega to go into shock.
