Angela White spent her early years in Central Sydney until the age of eight, when her family relocated to a farm in Victoria. Later, they moved again to the Australian East Coast, where she completed her high school education. White is of English and Scottish descent and was the eldest child and the only daughter in a large family. She has a younger brother. One day, her younger brother ended up possessing a Penthouse magazine through his fellow young, excitable male friends, which she got ahold of from him. Being a highly sexual girl, she decided to pose for Penthouse, thereby making him responsible for his older sister being a Penthouse Pet. Her father worked as a carpenter. Her mother was a photographer.

White entered the adult entertainment industry in 2003 at the age of 18, beginning with nude modeling. Her decision to join the industry stemmed from an interest sparked at age 14, when she first encountered pornography. She has described herself as hypersexual and knowing she was going to be in the adult entertainment business since she was 15. After turning 18, her first scene was filmed with Score, a company she initially contacted by sending nude photos, leading to her being flown to the United States to begin her career.

Throughout her career, White has worked with numerous prominent studios, with the majority of her work published through her production company, AGW Entertainment B.V., which she established in 2013. She has also launched and maintained her official website, AngelaWhite.com, where she produces and directs content.

White has collaborated with many well-known performers in the industry. Her contributions to the industry have been widely recognized. White has been nominated for over 100 awards and has won more than 80, including the AVN Female Performer of the Year in 2018, 2019, and 2020—making her the first person to win the award three consecutive years. She has also received the AVN Award for Best Leading Actress in 2020, along with multiple XBIZ, XRCO, and NightMoves awards. In 2018, she was inducted into both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame.

Angela is best known for performing a variety of intense sexual acts, including double vaginal penetration, triple penetration, and group scenes, which have contributed to her reputation as a boundary-pushing performer. White identifies as bisexual, a facet of her sexuality she has openly explored since her teens and incorporated into her work. She has talked about having sex at slumber parties with other girls as a teen. "Yes, some of the rumors you hear about girls' slumber parties are true," she said in a 2018 interview. "Girls like to practice kissing with each other and have their clit played with and sucked. Because boys have no idea how to do that when they are young. Even though most girls are straight, they are curious about the sensations and want to experience what it feels like. And if you are bisexual like me, then it's heaven. You just have to pretend you are not that into it or catch feelings. Otherwise you will get called a lesbian like I was. There was one girl I had sex with at a sleepover, and we decided to continue having sex almost every day after school in her room or mine. When I told her I had feelings for her, she freaked out and called me a lezzo. She told others I was a lesbian and to stay away from me. This was a girl that used to have her face buried in my crotch, fingering and eating me out every day, and now she was calling me a lesbian, which I thought was bloody hilarious."
