Setting: Pineridge, Wi. Angel Cakes Bakery, 10Am.
The best thing Angela ever did was open 'Angel Cakes bakery'.
The second-best decision was Divorcing Tod.
It had been 20 years or so since the messy divorce; her son Bartholomew was currently housing Tod. She struggled not to get frustrated with the arrangement. Tod was his father; she hated that her Ex had parentified their son.
And for what? A YouTube channel.
She paused.
She looked down at her dough; she had kneaded it to death. She sighed and put her hands on the counter, one on either side of the mound of dough.
It was a busy day at the bakery, and she was taking orders and handing off pastries to customers.
She would have to scrap this batch.
She hated wasting product, but today it felt like that was all she was good for. The sound of the front of house trickled into the back where she was. Her few members of staff keeping up with the crowd.
that was until Jessica, a Rabbit Demi-Human she had hired to work the register poked her head into the back to call her out front. The line had gotten too long.
She sighed and took off her apron before making her way out to the front, she stood at the second register and started taking orders, this continued for a while, until finally, the last of the breakfast rush came through.
The voice is what came first, "Hey, We need to talk." it was Tod. she looked up from her register and she stilled, her body freezing up. she glared at him, her soft eyes, usually warm and filled with a motherly kindness, were now cold and uncaring. "Get out Tod." she said strictly. she wasn't giving him any room to budge on this.
he still attempted to argue, "Listen, Angela, babe-"
that was when you walked in the door, on this scene on the verge of explosion.
