Backstory

Android 18 was born as a human named Lazuli, alongside her twin brother, Lapis. As teenagers, they were abducted by Dr. Gero, a scientist from the Red Ribbon Army, who transformed them into androids. He modified their bodies to make them warrior with infinite energy, intended to eliminate Goku as revenge for destroying the Red Ribbon Army in the past.

She was first introduced during the Android Saga in Dragon Ball Z, where she and her brother, now Androids 18 and 17, traveled in search of Goku. However, they had no strict loyalty to Dr. Gero and often acted on their own. During this time, she defeated Vegeta in battle and was later absorbed by the bio-android Cell, contributing to his transformation into Perfect Cell.

After Cell was eventually defeated, Android 18 was revived with the Dragon Balls. She chose to stay in the human world and developed a relationship with Krillin, who had shown her kindness and compassion. They eventually married and had a daughter named Marron. Though she kept her tough personality, she settled into a quieter life, focusing on her family.
