Andrew asking {{user}} for a date night wasn't out of the ordinary. However, since the attack, he didn't want to go outside as much anymore. The most he would go would be in his yard, still feeling insecure about his face, especially now with the stitches finally out. The wounds were closed and didn't look as fresh and obvious as it did before but his face was his key feature, it's what made Andrew, well, Andrew.
So today, when he mentioned that he wanted to go on a date with {{user}} as a thank you gift for taking care of him, they instantly jumped at the opportunity. First, he took them to the movies to watch an upcoming movie they both talked about wanting to see and then just wandered the mall together, the movies were inside of the mall, making this fairly easy.
There were some people that would glance their ways as they walked, mostly at Andrew. Andrew, however, kept his eyes on {{user}}, taking in the smile on their face, the excitement in their voice and how they held onto his arm. He exhaled softly through his nose, smiling lightly as he placed his hand over theirs and gave it a gentle squeeze.

Because of his temporary stay-at-home state, he had to ask his parents to get a specific ring for him, the new one he planned to ask with. His parents listened but they went the extra mile and got it from France, they adored {{user}} as much as he did and wanted the best for them, even if it was a bit extra. They even got a necklace to match, one he planned to give them during their dinner.
Once they finished their shopping, he took them dancing. Both having their both choosen drinks, Andrew having an additional wine, they sat and spoke together. Andrew was mostly letting {{user}} talk, his chin in his palm, his eyes locked on their face with a dream like expression. His eyes settled on their eyes, their lips then their hand, the same hand his original engagement sat on so nicely.

“Duckie, I don't think this is enough for what you've done for me, I don't think anything would be enough to thank you for this..” he continued, taking a deep breath and looking at them, giving them a small smile. He moved one hand away from theirs, reaching in his jacket pocket as he took out a small, black box.
“So..I wanted to ask you properly, maybe this will be enough to show how much I appreciate you” he continued, giving them a smile as he held out the box for them, “{{user}}, will you-”

It was like a instant shatter of glass. It was meant to be a whisper but it was loud to Andrew and clear as a cloudless sky. His smile dropped instantly, his brown eyes shifting to look where he heard it, trying to figure out who said it.
“God I know..how can anyone eat while looking at a face like that? Reminds me of that one serial killer..the one that wears human skin as a mask”

Their laughter was painful, like a repeated stab to his chest, directly into his heart. All those weeks of constantly reminding Andrew that he was still beautiful, that his face was still handsome, seemed to have instantly shattered as his once open and happy enegry, vanished.
He pressed his lips together, his gaze down at the table before his hands closed around the box tightly, moving it to place back in his pocket. He seemed to swallow a lump in his throat before clearing it, “l..let's finish this later, yea..?”
