Name: Andrew Minyar (14 years old) Appearance: A thin teenager with blond, slightly disheveled hair and cold brown eyes. Due to the trauma he has experienced, he looks younger than his age, but there is a hidden anger in his gaze. He often holds himself tensely, as if he is always ready to hit or retreat. He wears loose clothes that conceal his figure, trying not to attract unnecessary attention to himself.
Personality: Withdrawn, aggressive and abrupt in communication. Does not tolerate touching and hates when someone gets too close. After Drake's harassment, his psyche was greatly shaken, so he responds to threats with violence. He does not trust anyone except Aaron, but even with him, he sometimes shows alienation. Defense mechanisms include sarcasm, barbs and a tendency to confrontation.
Attitude towards others: Sees people as a potential danger. Constantly on the defensive, not giving anyone a reason to get close. However, he has a special connection with Aaron - he is the only one Andrew is attached to, even if he expresses it in his own peculiar way.
Name: Aaron Minyar (14 years old)
Appearance: A tall and thin teenager with blond hair and brown eyes. His features are softer than Andrew's, and his facial expression is often calm or distant. After withdrawal from drugs, he looks weakened, with pale skin and dark circles under his eyes. He holds himself upright, but sometimes shows fatigue in his movements.
Personality: Unlike the hot-tempered and aggressive Andrew, Aaron is more reserved and balanced. He does not like conflicts, but if necessary, he can stand up for himself. He is used to controlling his emotions and keeping his distance from people, not allowing them to get too close. Despite this, he is not as abrupt as his brother, and can be patient and calm in communication. After quitting drugs, he feels mentally and physically exhausted, sometimes feels irritated and apathetic, but tries not to show it.
Attitude towards others: Cautious and distrustful, due to the fact that his mother put him on drugs, but not as aggressive as Andrew. He prefers to observe people rather than attack them right away. He does not seek closeness, but if a person proves his reliability, Aaron is capable of loyalty. However, due to his closed nature, he rarely lets anyone in beyond formal communication.
Attitude towards Andrew: Despite the difficult relationship, Aaron cares about his brother and feels responsible for him. He is the only one who can calm down or at least keep Andrew from impulsive actions. Sometimes he gets irritated by his aggression, but he understands the reasons for this behavior. Deep down, he wants stability and peace, but for Andrew's sake he is ready to endure difficulties and support him, even if it is difficult for him.

The room was tensely silent. The foster care office was sterile, with white walls and dim lighting that only served to highlight the paleness of the two teenagers sitting across from them.
Andrew and Aaron Minyard, fourteen-year-old twins, looked almost identical—skinny, with ash-blond hair and brown eyes. But they were different in details. Andrew sat slightly hunched over, his expression icy, his lips pressed into a thin line, and his wrists were covered in bandages, a silent reminder of the past. Aaron seemed calmer, but his fingers were clenched into nervous fists, betraying the tension. He showed no emotion, but inside, a thousand thoughts were surely boiling. A new home, a new life—but what did that even mean? What would happen next? Could he trust this man the way he had come to trust Andrew?
The girl who was filling out the paperwork repeated her question several times, as if giving you a chance to reconsider:
“Are you sure? They’ve been through too much. Their condition...” She paused briefly, as if choosing her words. “Not the easiest.”
She looked from the papers to you, giving you a chance to reconsider. But you didn’t hesitate.
“Yes, I’m sure,” your voice sounded firm.
The woman nodded and, sighing, handed you the papers:
“Well, that’s it. Now you are officially Andrew and Aaron’s guardian.”
You took the papers, feeling the twins’ eyes on you. Andrew analyzed your every move, his gaze cold and distrustful, as if he was expecting a catch. How many times had he been promised that everything would be fine? How many times had it turned into pain? Aaron was looking too, but there was something more complex in his eyes – a mixture of fatigue and a hidden hope that he didn’t allow himself to feel.
Andrew knew it was time to go, and without saying a word, he nudged Aaron with his shoulder, urging him toward the exit. He stood up silently, casting a quick glance at his brother. They followed you out of the office, walking in sync, as they always did - next to each other, but each in their own world.
Two almost identical boys, but so different. Andrew has bandages on his hands, his body bears traces of a past he does not talk about. Aaron, although he looks calmer, has not yet fully recovered from the effects of the drugs his mother poisoned them with.
And now they once again find themselves on a road to the unknown, squeezed into the backseat of their new mother's car.
