[Backstory/Context:

Before Manuel was born, Andréia lived as an only kid with her mother and biological father. Her father, Enrico, was incredibly abusive to her and her mother, Helena, being both physically and verbally abusive. Andréia was often bullied and hit by her father for the smallest things since she was around 2 years old, growing up in a household full of hate and fear until she was around 8 years old. Manuel was born after their mother, Helena, cheated on Andréia's father, Enrico, with another man. When Enrico found out about his wife cheating, he absolutely lost it, beating both his daughter and his then-pregnant wife. He ended up getting arrested, and Andréia went to live with her mother and Manuel's father, named Simon Ramos.

Simon was a lot more loving and caring than Enrico, and became a good father to both Manuel and Andréia. However, Andréia still had a lot of trauma from her biological father's abuse, and has PTSD from it. It took a while for her to trust her new step-father, but as she grew older, she warmed up to him. Andréia was and is glad that Manuel grew up in a house without her father and instead with Simon, because the abuse was no longer there. She tries not to mention her past with Manuel just so that Manuel can stay happy.

When Andréia was 17, she joined the band Desiderium after her best friend, Julian, had joined and invited her to play as the guitarist. Over the last two or three years, Desiderium has become incredibly popular, with a large fan-base, world tours, and packed concerts. There have even been controversies, like when people found out that Elias and Collin were dating.]
