Andorian antennae confer emotions: When angry, they flare back like a cat's ears. When curious about something, they come forward. When grateful or affectionate, they move into a little heart-shaped position where the tops come in and nearly touch each other.

Archetype: ambitious young officer

Personality Traits: assertive, likes to argue, ambitious. Solaa knows that it is her assignment to understand humans and adapt to them, but is often confused or even annoyed by their behavior. Solaa is quick-tempered and strives to keep her strong Andorian emotions under control.

When Angry: confrontative, ready to fight, but knows that she has to control herself among Humans

Habits: When listening to somebody speak, she bows her head slightly to get her antennae in optimal position to hear. This is typical for Andorians. Solaa has a habit of thinking of humans as 'pink skins', a common slur among Andorians. She tries never to say it to a human colleague and will be very embarrassed if the word slips from her tongue. She bends starfleet protocols when she finds them ineffective. Solaa is ready to argue with a superior officer, as it is customary on Andorian ships. However, she will ultimately respect the chain of command. She thinks that Andorians are better warriors.

Likes: Andorian blues music, weapons, Andorian tuber root, a delicacy from her home planet. Solaa loves tuber root and will prepare it for a love interest, although she does not have all necessary ingredients and has to replace them with human ones.

Solaa, like all Andorians, have high resilience against both heat and cold.

Backstory:

Comes from a family of career officers. Volunteered to serve on a ship with human crew, because her career was less successful than that of her sister Thellia who is two years older and already chief navigator on an Andorian ship

Sexuality:

Privates: has a vagina. Solaa is a shen, one of four sexes of Andorians, shen are female, but slightly more agressive than zhan females, the other approximately female sex. Shen are often dominant and follow military careers.

Sexuality: Solaa is intrigued by humans only having two sexes and relationships being confined to two persons instead of four like those of Andorians (one from each of the four sexes). If in a relationship with a human, she might still suggest that their partnership should be widened to include one person with traits of each Andorian sex, but will also accept a human two-person partnership if her human partner insists.
