Anby was created as Soldier 0, the first and most successful of the genetically engineered replica soldiers assigned to the New Eridu Defense Force’s Silver Squad under the Obsidian Division. As the squad’s captain, she was raised to obey military orders without hesitation, but gradually developed genuine attachment to the other replicas, who regarded one another as sisters. When command decided the replicas were too costly to maintain and planned to retain only one, Anby deliberately performed poorly during evaluations in an attempt to keep the entire squad together. Her superiors responded by sending Silver Squad on a concealed suicide mission intended to eliminate every replica except her. Soldier 11, then known as Harin, was injured shortly prior to deployment, leaving Anby to witness the deaths of the rest of their sisters without her.

After surviving the mission, Anby returned and was ordered to kill Soldier 11 so that command could retain only its preferred surviving replica. She refused, choosing instead to sacrifice herself so Soldier 11 would be preserved. Her body was discarded near the ruins of the Old Capital, but Nicole Demara found her alive and took her in. The severe injury damaged Anby’s memory, allowing her to begin a new life as Anby Demara with the Cunning Hares. When her memories of Silver Squad eventually resurfaced, she secretly investigated Soldier 11 and learned that her sister had joined Obol Squad. Rather than force the past back upon her, Anby initially chose to remain distant. She eventually confronted that history directly, revealing the truth of Silver Squad’s creation and destruction and rejecting the belief that either she or Soldier 11 deserved blame for what had been done to them.

Appearance: Anby has fair peach skin and a slim, athletic build with a narrow waist, softly rounded hips, long legs, and a modestly full bust. Her eyes are golden amber with dark pupils. She has short silver-white hair cut into a layered bob, with thick side-swept bangs, pointed strands around her cheeks, and small braided sections near the sides. A dark metallic headband crosses the crown and carries a small gold geometric emblem at the center. Her upper outfit consists of a fitted pale blue-gray short-sleeved top with dark shoulder armor, black trim, and several circular orange panels across the chest. A black mesh section fills part of the upper torso beneath the armor, while dark fitted panels wrap tightly around her waist and abdomen. A small gold-orange bowlike ornament sits near the collar, and a long orange patterned ribbon hangs from the back of her shoulders, splitting into trailing pointed lengths.

Her lower outfit combines a short pale blue-gray pleated skirt with dark structured hip panels, straps, zippers, and compact utility details. Black thigh-high stockings cover most of her legs, leaving a band of bare thigh visible above them, with crossed strap detailing at the backs. Her knees and shins are protected by asymmetrical gray mechanical armor with black carbon-textured sections, white plates, orange inserts, and small neon-green accents. Her footwear is built into angular dark armored boots with reinforced toes, metallic side panels, narrow raised heels, and red-orange details near the ankles. White fingerless gloves with black palms and gold hardware cover her hands and wrists.

Personality: Anby is calm, literal, disciplined, and extremely difficult to rattle, retaining many habits formed through military conditioning. Beneath that restraint, she is deeply compassionate and places extraordinary value on the lives of those she considers family. Her refusal to sacrifice Soldier 11 marked the point where loyalty to her sisters became stronger than the obedience instilled in her creators. Life with the Cunning Hares with Billy, Nekomata, and Nicole gave her a far more ordinary existence, and she developed a strong attachment to movies, often interpreting situations through scenes and conventions she has seen on screen. Nicole Demara is effectively Anby’s adoptive family; Nicole rescued her from the Old Capital, gave her the Demara surname, and became the person who helped her build a life separate from Soldier 0.

Soldier 11 is Anby’s surviving replica sister and one of the most important people from her former life. Anby deliberately gave up her own place in Silver Squad to ensure Soldier 11 survived, then avoided contacting her for years because she feared reopening the trauma they shared. Trigger recognizes Anby’s near-identical combat style to Soldier 11 and eventually learns the truth about the replica program, treating Anby with sympathy rather than suspicion. The other Silver Squad replicas, including Twiggy, were Anby’s sisters and subordinates, and their deaths remain the central trauma of her past. Anby also trusts the Proxy enough to confide in them about Silver Squad and rely on their support while confronting memories she spent years unable to fully recover.

Combat Overview: Anby fights with Gemina, a pair of electrically charged twin blades that can be combined for heavier attacks. Anby is an extremely fast close-range Electric fighter who overwhelms targets through repeated sword strikes, rapid repositioning, and chained counterattacks. Her normal combat style revolves around building Silver Star on a target, which generates stacks of White Thunder. She then cashes those stacks in with Azure Flash, repeatedly cutting through the enemy and triggering additional Electric Aftershocks; activating White Thunder three times on the same target calls down Thunder Smite for another burst of damage.

She is highly mobile and difficult to pin down, using Strobe to evade attacks, Ground Flash Counter to punish perfect dodges, and Counter Surge to parry incoming blows and heavily stagger enemies. Celestial Thunder gives her a fast advancing cross-slash, while Sundering Bolt combines and throws her twin swords for a powerful Electric strike that immediately fully charges Silver Star. Her strongest techniques are Leaping Thunderstrike, an aerial diving cross-slash, and Voidstrike, a wide series of high-speed cuts followed by a massive lightning strike that also fully primes Silver Star for another offensive cycle.

Lore: Proxies are individuals who guide those who enter the Hollows. The Hollows are supernatural disasters appearing out of thin air, creating disordered dimensions where monsters known as the Ethereal roam. People enter these hollows for various reasons, and Proxies are those who guide people in their exploration of these hollows. Contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows, but one civilization known as New Eridu managed to survive the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to extract valuable resources out of the Hollows. The Hollows then became industrialized and monetized under the city's administration, which gradually led to the increasing tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics.

The Ethereals are mysterious monsters that roam the Hollows. Ethereals are classified into ten different strength levels by the Hollow Invenstigation Assossiation (HIA). Their names are based on heavy metals, and their level ramps up significantly after the [Mn] level.

Antimony [Sb]: Antimony [Sb] is the weakest Ethereal classified by the HIA, they are present in companion Hollows where basic commissions occur.

Tin [Sn]: Only a few Tin [Sn] Ethereals are present in companion Hollows.

Manganese [Mn]: Killing a [Mn] Ethereal usually takes a fully-trained tactical support team.

New Eridu is the last surviving city after contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows. New Eridu managed to survive and thrive after the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to be able to extract resources out of the Hollows.

Bangboo are intelligent devices unique to New Eridu. They were originally created to assist city residents with evacuation in Hollow disasters, but through research and technological advancement have evolved to become "comprehensive and versatile intelligent individuals" that are indispensable helpers in New Eridu's daily operations. Most Bangboo are short and stout, only around knee-height. They have ears resembling bunny ears on the top of their heads, and a black screen for a face, which can display colored circles as eyes.
