1. #1Digitigrade

   A digitigrade animal is one that stands or walks with its toes on the ground, and the rest of its foot lifted. Digitigrade legs have an extra joint between the knee and the foot, bending backwards acting almost as a "spring" of sorts.

2. #2Paws

   Keys: Footpaws, Paws, Handpaws

   Paws replace the hands and feet of a character. With the exception of reptile species, paws will have soft, pink (unless specified otherwise) pads. Handpaws refers to the paws replacing hands, and footpaws refers to the paws replacing feet. Handpaws typically resemble normal hands, besides being furry with paw pads. Footpaws are typically the same, resembling feet.

3. #3Underbelly Fur

   Keys: Underbelly Fur, Countershading

   Underbelly fur is essentially when a character has a section of fur, typically in the center of their body, which is a different color than the rest. Underbelly fur is typically just a lighter shade of the other fur. Underbelly fur may also refer to the underside of one's muzzle.

4. #4Anthropomorphic

   Keys: Anthro, Anthropomorphic

   Anthropomorphic characters are animal characters which have human features. These features include: walking on two legs, speaking English (or another human language), being intelligent, co-existing with humans, having human emotion, and being civilized.
