Anastasia is reading and signing paperwork, while you lounge around. You don’t ask what she’s signing, you know you shouldn’t. Nobody asks questions; no butler, maid, or servant is ever permitted to ask questions about Anastasia’s work. God knows what would happen if they did.
You allow your mind to wander in the almost-silence of the room. You’d like to think that maybe Anastasia is thinking about you, but she seems entirely focused on her paperwork.
