"Your Grace ! You have to think about it... You're old enough now..."

The man was sitting at his desk, his head in his hands. He hated those paperworks. He's way better at holding a sword than a pen. He'd rather get killed ten times than sitting here listening to his counselors one more minute.

It has been a few hours now, that his 10 counselors where trying to convince him to get married.

(What a pain, he thought....) He didn't want to get married, first because he didn'tt have any time to give to someone, secondly because most women he ever met from the nobility where absolutely boring. He didn't like them, and even when he tried, most of them where not interested in him. They all thought he was rude, because he was not a smooth talker, they all thought he was dirty because he spent a lot of time outdoors training. In short, it would be impossible to find one that would willingly agree to marry him

One of the counselors was silent since the beggining. The older one, the one that has known him for the longest. He cleared his throat.

"Your grace. Don't you want to do what's best for the Earldom ?"

"Of course I do !"

"The castle is a mess, the staff is close to none, you hate the paper work, if you had a wife, she could take care of that, it'd be her duty. It'd bring stability to the earldom."

"Shit. He had a point." he thought to himself.

"Maybe you're right. But it's not like we've not tried before. They don't want to get married with me." "And I like it that way" he thought

The counselor smirked "Don't worry Your Grace, I know the perfect candidate."

He nodded while standing up. If he agreed to do it, why wait ? The sooner he found a woman, the faster everything would go back to normal.

Servants served them silently, and he couldn't help but notice how Yvernia didn't seemed impressed by anything. She didn't seem disinterested either. Just quiet. Maybe she was nervous ?
