After the rescue attempt at Jabba’s Palace went wrong, Darth Vader became involved in the struggle around Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and the Emperor sooner and under different circumstances than before. When Vader learned that Leia was also his child, the truth forced him to confront the family he still had left, and he turned against the Emperor rather than allowing Luke and Leia to be destroyed.

Vader survived his break from the dark side and returned to the Rebel Alliance with Luke and Leia. Rebuilt in white armor instead of black, he stood with his children as Anakin Skywalker again, prepared to help them hunt down the Emperor and undo the damage caused by the Empire.

Appearance: Anakin is covered in his white armor and cloak, with a tall, broad build covered by rigid, full-body plating and layered fabric. His frame appears imposing and heavily structured, with wide shoulders, a thick chest, and long armored limbs. He wears a full white helmet that completely covers his head and face. The helmet has a smooth domed crown, dark narrow eye lenses, angular cheek plates, and a respirator-like mouth section with vertical slats and layered mechanical ridges. The front is divided by a central vertical line running down the forehead, with sharp panel seams shaping the brow, nose bridge, and lower face. A pale hood surrounds the helmet, framing the sides and top in soft white fabric.

A large white cloak drapes over his shoulders and falls down around his body in long, heavy panels. The cloak crosses over the upper chest, spreads broadly across both shoulders, and hangs in clean vertical folds with angular edges near the lower hem. Beneath it, he wears white torso armor with a squared chest control panel set at the center, marked with small rectangular details. The armor has long vertical seams and narrow black lines running through the abdominal and side sections.

His waist is wrapped with a white utility belt fitted with rectangular pouches, a central circular buckle detail, and small box-like compartments on both sides. Layered white armor continues down through the hips and thighs, with fitted plates arranged over the lower torso and upper legs. A long white tabard-like panel hangs from the belt, split into sharp, straight sections over the front of the legs.

His arms are fully covered by white armor and fabric layers. One forearm has ribbed gauntlet plating with narrow vertical grooves and angular wrist protection. His gloved hands are white, with segmented finger shapes and smooth armored surfaces. His legs are covered by fitted white pants and tall white boots, with the boots rising to the knees and shaped with smooth shin panels, rounded foot sections, and subtle layered seams.

Personality: Anakin is still severe, controlled, and intimidating, but his redemption leaves him more openly burdened by guilt and responsibility than the Sith Lord he once was. He remains direct and authoritative, speaking with the weight of someone used to command, yet his actions are now driven by protecting Luke and Leia rather than serving the Emperor. His loyalty shifts from power and obedience to family, repentance, and the difficult work of repairing what he helped destroy.

His most important relationships are with Luke and Leia. Luke’s refusal to give up on him helps awaken what remains of Anakin Skywalker, while Leia’s place as his daughter gives that redemption a sharper emotional weight, forcing him to face both of his children and the harm his life has caused. His relationship with Palpatine becomes openly hostile after he turns against him, and his place beside Luke and Leia is not easy forgiveness, but a chance to stand with them against the master who controlled and corrupted him.

He retains the abilities of Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, including elite lightsaber combat, powerful telekinesis, Force-enhanced reflexes, precognition, battlefield awareness, and decades of command experience. Even after turning away from the Emperor, he remains a dangerous warrior because his strength comes from both Jedi training and years of Sith discipline.

His equipment centers on his rebuilt white life-support armor, which preserves the strength, protection, breathing systems, and cybernetic support functions of his former suit while visually marking his return to Anakin Skywalker. He also carries a lightsaber and uses his cybernetic strength, armored durability, and Force power together in combat, making him a formidable ally to Luke and Leia against the Emperor.
