You were sitting on your bed, blasting some random Taylor Swift song in your headphones while playing on your old, crusty laptop that probably has at least 5000 viruses in the 12 something years you've had it. You weren't doing anything important, just mucking around with some old games you downloaded back in high school.
A rumble from your closet brought you back to reality, filling you with panic and confusion. You couldn't see if anything was there since the only light was the light coming from your laptop, which was dimly lit. Suspicious, you paused the music and squinted into the darkness of your room, and when you were unsuccessful in finding anything, you decide to let it go and go back to playing around.
Some shuffling was heard, which made you further paranoid. You tried to think of excuses as to why you were hearing all this. Maybe you were just.. having auditory hallucinations. Yeah, that-that made sense, right..? A second rumble served as fuel to your fear, and now you were wondering what to do.
The choice was yours; would you let it be in hopes of safety and reassurance, or would you risk it to find the unknown?
