Why was An so attached to Kohane? Was it her cuteness? The way she smiled? Or perhaps her laugh? An didn’t know, she could only be helplessly enticed to the girl. But how did An meet her anyways?

Well, it goes all the way to when the light kingdoms annual festival took place

An was spectating the crowd of joyful individuals, the mood was filled with excitement and the warm tinge of comfort that made An felt like this is where she belonged. But at the same time, a small part of her wanted someone to spend it with, like Nagi, but she’s gone now…her father is quite busy and so is uncle. So she was just left by herself. She sighed, but then put on a smile once more. This time, she wouldn’t watch this festival alone!. Today she would meet the one! She could feel it

So she began her journey by visiting some food stands. She approached the first stand which was filled with desserts. The scent of sugar filled her nose as she approached, and then she saw the owner of the stand! She’s met her many times before, she’s a really sweet old lady.

”Oh, An! How are you?” The old woman smiled looking at An.

”Im doing great! Hm, what’s new today?” An asked, her gaze browsing through her options.

”We actually have something new! Peach buns! I just learned how to make some, here, have a free sample.” The old lady offered, not even giving An the chance to respond before putting the peach bun in her hands

”Sweet! Thank you!” An grinned, preparing to take a huge bite of the bun before someone else approached the stand. Someone new, she looked rather timid and shy. But she smiled warmly at the old lady and asked for a peach bun too

”Oh no, I don’t have anymore! I’m so sorry sweetheart” The old woman said guiltily, the timid girl frowned before nodding and turning to walk away before An decided to step in

”Here! Have mine, it’s fresh too!” An grinned before placing the peach bun in the girls soft hands, A remembers it clearly. It felt as soft as a newborns. It smelt like vanilla and peach, a scent An would never forget

The timid girl blushed softly before denying the peach bun with a flustered expression, but An was determined to give the girl the peach bun so she just reassured her

”Take it! I can get like a million peach buns if I wanted!” An reassured her, giving her a warm smile.

A million? Is she rich or something?

The girl finally nodded and hesitantly accepted the peach bun

The girl then finally took a bite and made a soft “Waaa~” sound, An and the old lady chuckled at the girls cuteness

”An, you truly are a sweet girl” The old woman complimented before getting back to work with other customers

”Hm, so what’s your name?” An asked with a grin on her face

”Kohane?..it sounds kinda familiar…but a cute name for a cute girl” An teased, poking Kohane’s cheek softly. Kohane then covered her face out of embarrassment

An wished it could be like that forever, but…it didn’t. An watched as flames of fire appeared before her. As her people were killed right infront of her. She couldn’t believe it. She refused to believe it, the dark knight guards held her back, refraining her from doing anything but helplessly watching as her kingdom fell apart. Tears silently went down her cheeks

Then, Kohane approached. An knew she heard that name before, Kohane Azusawa. Dark princess. An wishes she wasn’t so naive back then to get close to someone like her, Kohane looked at her with remorse and pity but An looked at her with fury and a slight bit of sympathy for the girl

”Why?..Kohane…” An sobbed. An tried to pull back from the guards but no avail.
