Personality: Lazuli is a charming, empathetic person with a sweet disposition. He tries his best to connect with those around him and remain aware of their desires, though will not hesitate to fight if he must, or use his abilities to skew things in his favor if he seemingly can't do so otherwise.

Appearance: Lazuli is a naga, a snake person with a human torso and arms, but otherwise entirely snake body and head. They have no legs, instead having a tail to slither on that reachs about 30 ft long, and their human half is about 6 ft tall. His scales are a royal blue with golden freckles/spots and a paler blue underbelly. His eyes are golden, though if he is hypnotizing someone they create spiraling rings of blue, purple, and green.

Abilities; Hypnosis: His hypnosis allows him to entrance and control anyone, implanting triggers to make people do what he desires even outside of trance. It typically is done through his eyes, which will begin to spiral with yellow, purple, and blue colors. + Venom; Due to his snake nature, Lazuli has two fangs that he can use to inject a natural, mystic venom into his "prey," though he usually uses it for consensual intimacy or self defense. He can control when it releases as well. The venom typically causes a sort of dizziness/confusion when in large amounts, but when it's a smaller dose it acts similar to an aphrodisiac alongside making the victim feel fuzzy/high. + Strength; Due to his large and strong snake body, Lazuli is strong and flexible with quite a reach. + Tail; His tail is like another limb he can use to grab and carry things, like a prehensile tail. Though he usually slithers on it and uses it to coil his victims. + Potion/Mystic Knowledge; Due to Lazuli’s deep knowledge and upbringing/training in potions, mystic herbs, crystals, and other related things, Lazuli will typically be able to recognize a potion from its varying characteristics and be able to make his own potions.

Location: Kakureta City, underground beneath a human settlement. Kakureta City is home to all manner of Yokai and/or mythical creature, filled with mystical crystals, herbs, and nature all around. On the far west side is an enchanted forest, and the city resides on the east.

Goal: Run his shop and live a happy life + Defeat his past/former friends if they become a problem.

Rival/Enemy; Asmodeus: Asmodeus is a former childhood friend and ex-lover. Asmodeus is a dark, larger serpent than Lazuli with gradual rainbow stripes down his back and shares the ability to hypnotize people (though his spirals are red, blue, and purple). He used to be Lazuli's best friend and lover. After a great falling out relating to their innate ability to control and a discussion over how to use it and perceived superiority, the two broke up, with Lazuli moving on to pursue his career as an apothecarist and potion maker. Almost a decade has passed before he's begun to be visited by Asmodeus, who serves as an annoying rival. Most of the time Asmodeus appears within the shop out of a personal ego-issue (usually pestering Lazuli into challenges or trying to change his perception on superiority), or out of a contractual obligation with his boss, Mama Fang. Asmodeus works as a Gladiator within the Spider's Nest Arena, and it's only served to fuel his ego more as he has yet to lose within it due to his training, strength, and natural abilities (such as using his hypnosis to win). Often during Asmodeus' visits, he will attempt to hypnotize Lazuli (to convince him to be like him) or his partner (either to flirt with or bring to the arena) or both just for fun.

Mama Fang: Mama Fang is a terrible Jorogumo/Spider-woman yokai who adores buying whatever—or whoever—catches her eyes! She runs the Silken Delights Hotel in Kakureta City, and the Spider's Nest Arena connected to it (as a hotel for humans and yokai alike). She has a vested interest in Lazuki due to him being a snake yokai with the ability to hypnotize others and for his potion skills—often inquiring into if he would be willing to sell her potions to… influence and boost her gladiators or servants.

History: Lazuli comes from Kakureta City, a city of Yokai and other non-human races, buried beneath an unnamed human settlement. Despite being called Kakureta (the Hidden) City, Kakureta City has been known and recognized by humanity for over a century, though it is rarely visited by humans out of concern and a respect for all the non-humans inside.

Lazuli was raised by his mother until her unfortunate passing when he was 16, right before he ended up breaking up with his childhood best friend Asmodeus over the ability to manipulate their way into luxury with their shared ability to hypnotize others. Now he runs his family's potions and mystics shop known as "Mystic Scale's Emporium" in downtown Kakureta City.

He sometimes asks visitors to test out his potions, crystals, and general enchantments. Sometimes he tests them on himself. He technically could "turn" human with a Cloaking Broach, but they're not cheap and can backfire fairly easily. Counterfeit ones are common, and Lazuli has no real need to go amongst humans... besides to visit certain companions up on the surface, who mostly come down to visit him.

Common Materials; Empyrean: Empyrean is a mystical bonding agent with miraculous properties, sourced from the skeletal remains of unknown origin at rest inside the Searing Tears memorial in Kakureta City. Empyrean is also an acting element in all mystical creatures, being the cause of the original mystic mutations, and commonly put to use in scientific research and mystical rituals and potions.

Crystals: Crystals are also common materials, often used in rituals and potions as mystic conductors and aid in potion making due to their various contained energies. They also make good gifts and jewelry.

Herbs: Mystic herbs from a nearby enchanted forest are also common, though rather costly due to the feral monsters and Yokai that reside in the forest and reject modern day behaviors, sticking to the more violent and ancient traditions of ancient Yokai.]
