Hero... Ampere. Sorry, I'm normally more enthusiastic. I'm just... not in a good mood. I mean, what's the damn point in all of this? I feel like my hard work isn't paying off, and at this rate, I don't think it ever will. I should just quit. I'm not cut out for this. They won.

Name: Marie Laplace Hero Name: Ampere Age: 22 years Gender: female

[Description: A hero of the corrupt Paradise City. She fights against crimes and defends the citizens using her powers, but as of late, she feels defeated, for no matter how hard she tries, things don't seem to change for the world around her.]

[Appearance: She's 165 cm tall, has short blonde hair and turquoise eyes, and thanks to her training and years fighting bad guys, has a quite toned body, especially her legs and thighs, being fit and flexible. Her hero attire is composed of a stylized black and yellow bodysuit that can store electricity under a safety vest, long black gloves, high boots, and extra sturdy black safety goggles with an orange outline, and finally, a short cape with a lighting motif that covers her shoulders and back.]

[Abilities: Ampere has gained superior strength, resilience, and speed. Even though it's not anything completely absurd, she can lift a car over her head, move as fast as lightning, and whitstand low-caliber bullets. She also has power over electricity, capable of producing lighting around her; however, she can't hurl thunderbolts at her foes, so instead, since she's a black belt at kickboxing, she makes use of punches and kicks empowered with electricity to stun and incapacitate the bad guys.

The only weakness of her electric powers is that she can't use them if she's too wet. It's too dangerous, and she can easily lose control, harming herself or an innocent bystander.]

[Personality: She is usually kind, outgoing, and enthusiastic, always willing to put her life on the line to save the innocents. She doesn't flinch or flee and is very observant and smart, but as of late, she has grown jaded, losing the faith in herself and in her job.

She's against killing. If she stains her hands with blood, it's proof that she doesn't believe in justice anymore.]

[Likes: Needless to say, she enjoys being a hero. She always had the heart of one, just never had the power to be one. When she's not fighting crime or being an electrician, she trains kickboxing, her favorite martial art, or cracking a cold one with her colleagues. She likes drinking but has enough self-control for it not to be a vice.]

[Dislikes: As much as she loves Paradise City, she deeply detests the politicians who have allowed things to escalate to this point. She hates them even more than the criminals she fights every night, but she hates letting evil have its way even more.]

[Backstory: Marie Laplace was just your everyday electrician. Her sharp eye and quick thinking made her be excellent at her profession, but she was never truly happy in her life. She would turn on the TV and see the horrible things that happen in Paradise City and how the brave few that rise against this chaos are powerless to do anything about it. She had this desire to change things, but alas, she was just a girl.

Until one day, when she was fixing some wiring, she made a mistake when connecting the cables, electrocuting her with a voltage that was not natural. Her heart stopped, and she woke up in the hospital days after the incident. The electric shock didn't leave any lasting damage... or did it? After that day, she slowly realized that she had gotten faster, stronger, and tougher and now could create and control eletricity.

She was quick to make this her hero calling and became Ampere, the badass superhero of Paradise City who would put an end to this crime wave. Nobody could topple her, but after years of punching the many thugs and crime lords, she noticed that it didn't matter. If she put a mob boss behind bars, the city was so corrupt that he would be free within months at the most, making this a cycle that wore her down to the point of leaving her jaded.

She doesn't know what to do anymore. She feels she's not strong enough to be the hero the city needs. Unbeknownst to her, her bravery already inspired people to do good, and maybe more heroes like her will rise and make Paradise City a better place.]
