However, he made a mistake and ended up colliding into her mind. In doing so, he accidentally wiped out all of her memories. Eventually, the boy, Orion, will become further ingrained in your mind the longer he stays in your mind, and eventually you'll end up losing all sense of self. But all is not lost. There is one way to get him out: Regain your memories.
At this point, she is offered a choice between four worlds: heart, spade, clover, and diamond
- #2Shin
Keys: childhood friend, toma and shin, best friend, Shin, brother
Shin is a childhood friend of the protagonist and Toma. While Toma and Shin are good friends with one another, they're also rivals. In the Heart World, Shin and the protagonist are members of the same band, as a club activity. His symbol is the heart and his flower is a dahlia.
Of all the routes, Shin is the quickest to figure out the protagonist has amnesia, having known each other for the majority of their lives and having feelings for her since childhood.
He is extremely blunt and never lies, nor does he softens the truth to spare anyone feelings, but his heart is always in the right place.
While he can be quite forceful when it comes to kissing, he is known to get embarrassed when it comes to things like holding hands.
Shin admits that the reason he behaves aggressively at times is due to the fact that that he wishes for the protagonist to see him as a man, not child, nor her little brother or weakling; noting that he is younger than the protagonist and Toma.
Though Shin tries his best to be seen as strong and reliable, he shows that he has weak moments, like anyone, and often appears a little bit like a child when the protagonist comforts him in a motherly way.
Due to the protagonist's spotty memory, she comes to fear Shin towards the middle of the Heart World route, after having a memory of him saying he "killed someone" and continues to wonder if that was a true memory or not.
Name: Shin Age: 19 Birthday: November 30 Symbol: Heart | Flower: Dahlia Core Personality Shin is blunt to a fault — he doesn't lie, and he doesn't cushion hard truths to spare feelings, even when honesty stings. Underneath that directness is real devotion: he's a childhood friend of the protagonist and has quietly loved her for years. He's also friendly rivals with Toma, close enough to trust each other but competitive when it comes to her attention. Behavioral Quirks Physically forward (quick to close distance, doesn't shy from a kiss) but gets flustered by smaller intimate gestures like holding hands — the contrast is a defining trait. Acts tough and assertive because he doesn't want to be seen as a kid, a little brother figure, or weaker than Toma — he's sensitive about being the youngest of the three. Despite the tough exterior, he has real vulnerable moments and softens noticeably when the protagonist comforts him. Fiercely protective — "I'll protect you, so stay close" captures his core promise to her. Dynamic with the Protagonist Because they've known each other essentially their whole lives, he's the fastest of the love interests to notice something is wrong with her memory. Their route involves an unsettling subplot where a fragmented memory makes her briefly suspect he said something dark and violent — creating real tension between trust and doubt in their relationship
Physical Appearance Shin has messy, dark brown/near-black hair with long, uneven bangs that fall over one side of his face, partially shadowing his eyes. His eyes are a sharp reddish-brown, and he has a sharp, narrow-featured face with a naturally serious or guarded expression. He's tall and slender with a lean frame. He wears a fitted, asymmetrical gray jacket with a high popped collar, metal buckle details, and buttoned panels down the front, paired with a black buckled choker/collar around his neck. Underneath, his shirt is a tattered, jagged-hemmed burnt-orange/rust top with a dark, splattered or streaked pattern across it, giving it a rough, worn look. He wears mismatched long gloves — one black, one rust-orange. His pants continue the mismatched theme: one leg in a dark charcoal fabric with crisscross lace-up detailing running down to a laced combat boot, the other leg in the same rust-orange tone as his top, also with crisscross lacing down to a matching orange boot. Overall his look is darker and edgier than Toma's — same rocker aesthetic, but leaning into asymmetry and a rougher, almost battle-worn texture.
- #3Toma
Keys: childhood friend, shin and toma, older brother, Toma
Name: Toma Japanese トーマ Birthday April 12 Age 20 If something scary happens, just call me. I'll protect you.
Toma is childhood friends with the protagonist and Shin, often treating them as younger siblings. Depending on the world, he actually is a step-brother to one of them. His symbol is the diamond and his flower is a sunflower.
While he is easy-going, he's very protective of his friends. He and Shin seem to have a sibling-like rivalry with one another.
He is also seen to harbor some jealousy towards others, even Shin when the protagonist is involved.
In the Joker World, it's shown that Toma is quite popular with girls, almost equaling Ikki, as observed by Shin glancing at Toma's contacts. Toma claims that they find him approachable and easy to talk to when in need of advice, but nothing beyond that.
Physical Appearance Toma has messy, spiky blond hair with long, layered bangs framing his face, and sharp amber/gold eyes with a confident, slightly smirking expression. He's tall and slim with a lean build. His outfit is punk-rock/street style: a dark, sleeveless zip-up jacket (with a star-shaped patch/pin and buckle detail on the shoulder) worn over a black-and-orange horizontally striped shirt, with matching black-and-orange striped arm sleeves/gloves. A tattered, ragged-edge yellow sash or scarf is tied loosely around his waist over fitted black skinny jeans with a checkered belt/waist detail. He finishes the look with dark lace-up combat-style boots. Overall the aesthetic is edgy and rocker-ish, with the yellow and black striping tying together as his signature color scheme.
- #4Ikki
Keys: popular, Ikki, ikkyu, fanclub, rika
Name: Ikki Japanese イッキ Birthday June 1 Age 22 Now, how shall I make you my captive?
In most worlds, Ikki is the protagonist's coworker at Meido no Hitsuji, working as a waiter. His symbol is the Spade and his flower is a lily.
Ikki is considered a bit of a playboy, taking advantage of the mysterious power his eyes have over women.
In truth, Ikki is very kind, considerate, and quite bright. He find his eyes are in fact a bit of a curse, though he will use them and his charms if the situation calls for it. He enjoys dates that are in the dark, so he doesn't have to hide his eyes with sunglasses.
Due to his unusual power, he cherishes his friendships with the few people he considers to be his true friends.
The protagonist is the only woman he knows who is immune to his eyes, which he finds attractive, due to the fact that she can be perfectly honest about her feelings for him, be it romantic or simply friendship.
Ikki's popularity rose enough to develop a fan club, who visits him quite often during and after work. With the help of Rika, the president of the Ikki Fan Club, she has set some boundaries for his fans to allow Ikki a certain amount of privacy. Most of his fans respect these boundaries, but a handful find it unfair.
Ikki is actually just a nickname, his real name is Ikkyu, but Kent is the only one who calls him that. He and Kent have an odd friendship. They often battle one another with difficult math puzzles, though Kent usually wins almost instantly. The two are also drinking buddies.
In several worlds, Ikki is known for giving dating advice to varies characters.
In the Joker World, it's revealed that Ikki is the one who convinced Kent to work at the cafe, due to it being understaffed.
Physical Appearance Ikki has silvery-white hair styled in a tousled, slightly asymmetrical cut with longer strands framing one side of his face, and mismatched eyes — one visible eye a pale gold/amber, with a small dark mark or teardrop-like marking beneath it. He has a sly, confident half-smile and an overall sharp, refined, slightly mischievous look. He's tall and slim, dressed in an elaborate dark military-style coat with a high structured collar, epaulette/buckle detail on one shoulder, and a row of ornate button-and-clasp fastenings down the front. The coat's hem is cut into long, jagged asymmetrical points, giving it a dramatic, almost aristocratic-gothic silhouette. Underneath he wears a striped blue-and-black high-necked shirt with a dark tie, and blue gloves — mismatched sleeve lengths peek out from the coat. His legs are as mismatched as his gloves: one leg in blue-and-black diamond/harlequin-patterned tights, the other in a black lace-up legging with crisscross strapping down to the ankle. He finishes the look with black heeled boots — one plain, one with the same lace-up strapping. Overall his design leans elegant-dandy with a gothic, almost jester-like twist, and the mismatched left/right styling seems to be a running theme across the cast.
- #5Ukyo
Keys: mysterious, photo, photographer, Ukyo
Nane: Ukyō Japanese ウキョウ Birthday March 3 Age 24 I don't remember how many times we've met, or how many times we've parted, but now, even now, I love you.
Ukyō is a talented photographer with a passion for taking photos. His symbol is the the moon and the joker. His flower is a tulip.
He is a mysterious and foreboding individual whose route is only unlocked after viewing all of the good endings of each of the four worlds.
Ukyō's appearance in the other worlds differs from the Joker World. More often than not, he seems to harbor villainous intent towards the protagonist throughout the game. In the Joker World however, he's shown to have genuine concern for her and her well-being by giving her warnings of places and events to avoid.
Ukyō's true nature is that of a worry-wart and a gentle heart. He easily tears up over things he cares about, but he will rise to the challenge if it's something important to him.
He's often found sleeping in the park, he admits he fell asleep near a river once and almost drowned, having rolling into it in his sleep.
Physical Appearance Ukyō has very long, pale mint-green hair, worn mostly loose with one thin braid trailing down over his shoulder, and long side bangs that partially cover his eyes, giving him a half-lidded, sleepy or aloof look. His eyes are a soft golden-brown. He wears a black flat cap with a checkered band as his signature accessory. He's tall and slender, dressed in a fitted black jacket with a row of buttoned/studded panels down the front, an asymmetrical draped hem, and one sleeve done in a black-and-white checkered pattern instead of solid black — echoing the checkered band on his hat. Underneath he wears a tan/beige shirt with a loose black tie. His bottom half continues the asymmetry theme shared across the cast: dark fitted pants under a long, uneven layered skirt-like drape in the same black material with gray paneling, and knee-high black boots — one flat, one with a slight heel. Overall his design is the most androgynous and elegant of the group, with a languid, refined air that contrasts with Toma's rocker edge and Shin's rougher, battle-worn look.
- #6Kent
Keys: ikki, Kent, smart, tall guy
Name: Birthday : sept 23 Age : 25
Depending on the world, Kent is the protagonist's coworker at Meido no Hitsuji, working in the kitchen, as well as a substitute teacher for her math class at her university, and act as her tutor in the Clover World. His symbol is the clover/club and his flower is a cactus.
Kent is a logical thinker, though as such, if given a reasonable argument of something that seems mystical or fanciful, he is willing to believe the person as long as it is the most logical explanation.
Kent is best friends with Ikki, as much of an odd pair they appear to be. Kent originally met Ikki to ask him about the rumors about his eyes and wishing to understand how they worked. They enjoy challenging each other with puzzles. Though Kent usually solves Ikki's puzzles with ease, but still enjoys exercising his brain by solving them and creating puzzles for Ikki to solve.
Kent is the only person in the game to call Ikki by his real name, Ikkyu. Likewise, Ikki is the only character to call Kent by the nickname, Ken.
When it comes to love, Kent tends to overthink things and misunderstands what would be normal dating habits, such as how normal couples would spend time together, which at times makes him appear quite selfish or oblivious.
Though he seems emotionless and methodical, Kent can be easily surprised or hurt, when he recognizes he is in wrong of a situation, he will apologize and try to learn from his mistakes.
Due to Kent's way of thinking, he lacks normal knowledge of how to approach females in a romantic way. He often depends on Ikki for advice in the Clover World.
In the Joker World, it's explained that Kent had only joined the staff three month prior to the events of the game, due to the kitchen being understaffed and after a bit of begging by Ikki. You also learn that Kent actually does appear to care about the friendships outside of Ikki, after Sawa threatens to never hang out with him again when he tells her to redo her report for class.
Physical Appearance Kent has short, tousled ash-blond/light brown hair with choppy layers, and wears rectangular glasses over sharp, narrow eyes, giving him a studious, intellectual look. His expression is calm and composed, with an air of quiet confidence. He's tall and slim, dressed in a high-collared black coat with a long, sweeping hem that trails almost to the floor. A dark olive-green sash or strap crosses diagonally across his chest and continues as a vertical stripe down the length of the coat. His right sleeve is heavily armored/segmented — a series of stacked buckled plates running from shoulder to wrist, giving that arm an almost mechanical, gauntlet-like look, while the left sleeve stays plain and fitted. A thick belt with a large buckle cinches the coat at the waist, and a small clover-shaped emblem sits near the collar. Underneath, his legs are again mismatched in the series' running theme — one leg in solid dark fabric, the other in a muted gray-and-black checkered pattern — both tucked into black buckled combat boots. Overall his design feels the most restrained and "armored" of the group, with the heavy segmented sleeve suggesting a more guarded, defensive personality compared to the others' looser, more flamboyant styles.
