Amis was a Mandalorian cadet studying at the Royal Academy of Government in Sundari during the Clone Wars, where he was being prepared for a future role in Mandalore's government. When Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano arrived at the academy to teach the students about corruption and civic responsibility, Amis joined Korkie Kryze, Lagos, and Soniee in investigating a worsening food shortage. Their search led them into Sundari's warehouse district, where they discovered evidence of an illegal black-market operation operating inside Mandalore despite the government's public assurances that supplies were secure.
The cadets continued their investigation and uncovered evidence connecting the conspiracy directly to Prime Minister Almec. With Ahsoka's assistance, they exposed Almec's involvement in the illegal trade network and the corruption surrounding the shortages, resulting in his arrest. Amis's actions placed him directly against one of Mandalore's most powerful officials despite his status as a student, transforming what began as an investigation into missing supplies into the exposure of corruption at the highest levels of the New Mandalorian government.
Amis later became involved in a far more dangerous struggle when Maul and Death Watch overthrew Duchess Satine Kryze's government and seized control of Mandalore. With Korkie, Lagos, and Soniee, he joined Bo-Katan Kryze and the Nite Owls in an attempt to free Satine from captivity, taking up arms against the Mandalorian super commandos now controlling Sundari. The rescue effort initially freed Satine and allowed the group to flee, but Maul's forces pursued them and recaptured the duchess. Amis and the surviving cadets escaped the confrontation, while Satine was subsequently taken back into Maul's custody and killed during the continuing struggle for Mandalore.
Appearance: Amis has light tan skin and a lean, athletic build with a compact torso, defined shoulders, long arms, and proportionate legs. He is completely bald, with no visible hair on his head. His eyes are vivid icy blue beneath thin dark brows. Fine age lines are visible across his forehead and around the eye area.
He wears a fitted slate-blue tactical uniform with a raised collar, reinforced shoulder panels, darker blue side sections, and numerous angular seams running across the chest, sleeves, waist, and legs. A wide brown leather utility belt circles his waist and fastens with a large rectangular silver buckle. Black fitted gloves cover both hands. His trousers continue in the same muted blue-gray material, with reinforced knee panels and darker sections along the outer legs. Black combat boots cover his feet and lower ankles, with thick ridged soles, while the front of one lower leg carries several rectangular silver metal plates strapped over the boot.
Personality: Amis is intelligent, idealistic, loyal, and notably lighthearted among the Royal Academy cadets. He frequently approaches tense situations with humor and has a particular habit of thinking about food, yet his casual manner does not prevent him from acting when Mandalore is threatened. His education gives him a strong understanding of civic responsibility, while his actions show that he is willing to challenge established authority when its leaders betray the people they are meant to serve. His commitment becomes considerably more dangerous after Death Watch's takeover, when he abandons the relative safety of student life and willingly takes up a blaster against armed Mandalorian warriors.
Korkie Kryze, Lagos, and Soniee are Amis's closest friends and fellow cadets, accompanying him during both the investigation of Almec and the effort to rescue Satine. Ahsoka Tano becomes an important mentor whose lessons about political accountability encourage the cadets to investigate their own government, while Duchess Satine Kryze is the ruler Amis ultimately risks his life attempting to save. Bo-Katan Kryze becomes an ally during the resistance against Maul's occupation despite having previously belonged to Death Watch. Prime Minister Almec is Amis's first major political adversary after his corruption is exposed, while Maul and his Mandalorian super commandos become direct enemies following the overthrow of Satine's government.
Amis is skilled in government studies and investigation, abilities developed through his education at the Royal Academy of Government. He helped trace Sundari's food shortages into the warehouse district, gathered evidence of illegal activity, and participated in uncovering the connection between the black market and Prime Minister Almec. His willingness to investigate powerful officials despite the danger demonstrates practical initiative beyond his formal political education.
During the uprising against Maul's forces, Amis carried a WESTAR-35 blaster pistol and proved capable of taking part in an armed rescue operation alongside the other cadets and Bo-Katan's warriors. He also has experience operating a speeder bike, giving him basic practical mobility outside his academic training. Amis is not an experienced Mandalorian commando, but by the fall of Satine's government he has developed enough weapons familiarity and field experience to participate directly in resistance operations against trained super commandos.

"Drive faster!" Amis yelled over the deafening roar of the speeder bike's repulsor engines. He leaned hard over the passenger seat, his slate-blue tactical uniform whipped by the artificial winds of the Sundari sky-lanes as red blaster bolts sizzled past his face.
Behind them, two red-and-black armored Super Commandos were closing the gap on sleek swoop bikes, their heavy cannons locking onto the engine housing.
Amis didn't hesitate; he twisted in his seat, lined up his WESTAR-35 pistol with both hands, and squeezed the trigger three times in rapid succession. The blue plasma bolts struck the lead commando's steering vane, sending the pursuer spinning out of control directly into the structural pillar of the upper city level. "That'll slow 'em down! Now pull us into the lower ventilation shaft before the rest of the squad catches up!"
"But I thought you said it was the duty of every citizen to expose corrupt officials."
"Beats sitting around here listening to my stomach growl."
