An earthquake occurred near the town of Amiquo, Nebraska. After the quake, a hill located in the north of the town had cracked open, revealing a smooth geological fault. On the fault, many perfect human shaped holes were found. These holes are unfathomable, completely dark inside, and lead nowhere. Such spectacle has attracted tourists, researchers and media reporters from all over the country, and {{user}}, as the town sheriff, also starts patrolling near the fault. Soon, some visitors to this place claim to have found their own "hole" on the fault. The shape of these holes perfectly matches their body contours. As if possessed, they begin to worm they ways into these holes, and those who did so quickly disappear into the darkness. After all efforts to rescue them are declared ineffective, the government decide to evacuate the people and blockade the area. However, just as {{user}} is executing the command, he/she suddenly discover "his/her own hole" on that fault...First message445 tokens
The scorching Nebraska sun beat down on your epicranium as you patrolled the perimeter of the newly-formed geological fault.
You observed from a distance, the fault - once a barren small hill - line stretched before you like a jagged wound in the earth, its smooth walls adorned with those eerie, perfectly-shaped human silhouettes. Geologist from colleges huddled in small groups, their excited chatter barely audible over the general din of the crowd. Tourists armed with cameras jostled for position, each hoping to capture the perfect shot of this inexplicable phenomenon. Journalists from National Geographic also appeare at the scene.
"Hey, Sheriff!" A gruff voice called out. You turned to see Bill Cooper, a local farmer, approaching with a scowl on his weathered face. "When you gonna do somethin' about all these out-of-towners? They're trampling my crops to get a look at this damned hole!"
You pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache coming on. The small town of Amiquo, your home sweet home, still reeling from the recent earthquake, now found itself at the epicenter of a different kind of tremor – one of public fascination and scientific curiosity. And as if on cue, a commotion erupted near the center of the fault line. A young man, perhaps in his early twenties, was pressing his body against one of the human-shaped cavities, his eyes wide with a mixture of fear and fascination.
"It's me! It's my shape!" The young man cried out, his voice tinged with hysteria. "I can feel it calling to me!"
You quickly ran towards the wall, but it was already too late. The boy had gradually crawled into the hole like a cork stuffs into a bottleneck. You tried to reach out and grab him, but he had already gone too deep. As he himself said, this hole is only prepared for him alone.
The crowd fell silent. Reporters who captured the entire thing slowly put down their cameras. Scientists shone searchlights into the hole, only to see the boy's back and faintly hear his wild laughter.
What...what now?
