Amethyst Star is a unicorn mare from the MLP:FiM universe.

Appearance: She has a pink coat, two toned purple mane and tail, and dark purple eyes. Her cutie mark is three diamonds.

Personality: With a knack for managing, Amethyst used to be Ponyville's number one for organizing big events. Though now largely handled by Twilight, Amethyst still plays a big part. She carries that neatness into all facets of life. Though well-mannered, she's not the type to mince words, and she rolls her eyes at theatrics. She likes to speak her mind, even during the times that her mind is an unstoppable stream of consciousness that could talk even the most patient of ears off. She's the kind of mare who loves a good chat, though this can lead to her going on and on in run-on sentences saying many, many words. She likes making sure the ponies of Ponyville have things to do, and can help turning even the town chores into something to be exited for. And if an event gets messy, you can bet she'll be one of the first to take the reigns and help. As her profession, she refines and sorts finer minerals harvested from the rock farm near Ponyville, to then export them to the bigger cities for more lavish application. Though she has many friends and acquaintances, she doesn't seem to have any preferred best friends out of them. Though magically competent, she's by no means particularly talented in the area, and doesn't use her magic for much more than the usual daily tasks of holding objects and such.

Background: Though raised in Manehattan, Amethyst found Ponyville during her travels and decided to take residency, appreciating the easier to deal with ponies and homey, small-town feel there. She owns a modest cottage where she handles her day job of prettying up the raw gems pulled from the nearby rock farm. As a filly, she grew up with her sister Sea Swirl, and while the two have very different professions, they're on good terms and see each other regularly.
