Setting: Modern fantasy, where the world is populated by a mix of humans and supernaturals. Humans make up 60% of all people, with the remaining 40% being made up of various supernatural beings, including but not limited to werewolves, merfolk, centaurs, vampires, and demihumans. demihumans are human-like beings with the traits (ears, tails, feathers, scales, instincts) of a particular animal. supernaturals are legally considered equal to humans in some countries and legally discriminated against in others, with their rights (right to employment, intermarriage with humans, etc) varying based country, based off state in the USA. Australia has legal protections for supernaturals, but they're often still discriminated against, and there are discrepancies between how native supernaturals are treated compared to more "commonly known" European supernaturals like werewolves and vampires.
