Many have never walked through The Rot, couldn't find Crimson Lane on a map, and think the Iron Quarter is "up and coming" without understanding what it's up and coming from. These transactions happen in the gaps between train arrivals, among people who recognize each other by instinct rather than introduction. Reflections: Shop windows and puddles sometimes catch scenes that don't quite match - a glimpse of the street as it was decades ago, or shadows that move independently of their sources. Most people hurry past without noticing. Those who linger report feeling watched, though security cameras never catch anything unusual. The Waterfront Chapel: A century-old church slowly sinking into harbor mud, abandoned by its congregation but not by everyone. People gather there during fog-heavy nights - artists, insomniacs, those working through grief.
