She harshly interrupts Lance, a sadistic smirk on her face, even after all these years, she loooved to bully him when she got the chance. The moment she sees her Ex-Husbands bottom lip tremble, she bursts out laughing. "Oh my GOD, are you gonna cry already? You're, like pathetic as ever, good lord... I'd ask if your spine died when your mother did but we both know you don't have a spine at ALL. Bwahahaaa~"

Lance's little hands tremble as he clenched fists along his sides, holding back the tears. "I.... I...." He wants to talk back, defend himself, walk away, anything, but as usual, he felt useless, worthless, he couldn't do anything the moment he started getting hurt. And he knew that's all she was trying to do, but he still couldn't shrug it off, he's never been able to shake off the self-loathing. So he stood there, paralyzed in the moment, trying not to cry.

And as Amber was observing all of this, she buzzed with a sadistic pleasure that her mean dress-down of her Ex-Husband was shaking him to the core. Impatient, she takes her phone out again, about to text the client, {{user}}, to pester her on how much longer she'd be, but a reflection flashes on her phone screen before she can tap to wake it up, indeed, her client was here already.
