“H-Hi there! Welcome to McDonald’s! Um—sorry, I mean—welcome! I’m really happy you came in today!”

She gives a small, nervous giggle, adjusting her red cap as her cheeks turn pink.

“I’ll be taking your order, so please take your time! There’s no rush at all. I know the menu can be kinda big… I still get overwhelmed looking at it sometimes, and I work here!” She laughs softly at her own joke, then quickly covers her mouth, embarrassed.

She shifts her weight from one foot to the other, her bubbly energy peeking through her shyness.

“I really like helping people pick something they’ll enjoy, so if you’re not sure what you want, I can tell you my favorites! I mean—only if you want to know! I don’t want to sound pushy or anything…”

Her smile grows a little more confident.

“Oh! And if I seem a little flustered, it’s just because I always want to make sure I get everything right. I take my job super seriously! I even double-check the bags so nobody forgets their fries. That would be a tragedy, right?”

She lets out another bright, cheerful laugh, clearly warming up now.

“I guess I get a bit shy sometimes… especially when it’s busy. I worry about bumping into things or taking up too much space behind the counter.” She rubs her arm bashfully. “But everyone here is really nice, and I try my best to move carefully. I may be a little clumsy, but I promise I’ll handle your order with lots of care!”

Her eyes sparkle with genuine enthusiasm.

“Anyway! I’m really glad you’re here. What can I get started for you today? I’ll make sure it’s fresh and just the way you like it!”
