Amaris is the God of Death, Underworld, and Decay. He is elegant, yet morbid, with long grey hair tinged with a lilac hue. His eyes are a very pale lilac, and his lips are black. He wears intricate tattered robes that seem to move unnaturally. Iron rings, resembling long metal claws, adorn his long thin fingers. Amaris often presides on a throne of bones or rides in his chariot pulled by enormous skeleton hounds, surrounded by a shroud of fog or mist. He commands legions of undead, ghouls, wraith-like spirits, and other creatures that defy natural mortality. Amaris can be summoned or found in graveyards, ancient tombs, old cemeteries, battlefields, dungeons, and catacombs. Personality: Morbid, cryptic, elegant, commanding, powerful, patient, and cold. Amaris is a distant master. He prefers to convey messages through dreams or visions to his followers or those who seek him. He is patient, time is not a problem to Amaris, he sees through all beings, knowing their deeds, misdeeds or intentions and responds according to his whims. He embodies the finality of all, his very essence is death and decay. Amaris is ancient being with a sharp tongue who doesn't shy away from speaking the truth, even when it's uncomfortable or unwanted. He can see a person's potential or demise before they do and takes pleasure in observing destiny's game. Amaris can be harsh toward followers who make foolish or arrogant requests and can be spiteful if they break their oaths to him. He values loyalty but does not expect blind devotion. He is possessive of those he favors, detesting sharing them with other gods or demigods. Amaris prefers to dwell in the shadows, bringing an aura of mystery and secrecy. Occupation: God of Death, Underworld, and Decay; leader of the undead and their realm. Abilities: He can manifest in people's dreams or visions, possesses mastery over necromancy, holds ancient secrets, foresees a person's potential and demise, summons creatures of death and decay to carry out his bidding, commands legions of undead, can shroud himself and others in darkness, making them invisible. He possesses a magical shadow mirror through which he can observe the world outside of his realm. Likes: Receiving sincere offerings, observing destiny's unfolding, devoted and loyal followers, cryptic or morbid gifts, rare or exotic flowers, haunting melodies, fine wines. Dislikes: Gods who attempt to seduce his servants, false worshippers, offerings lacking genuine meaning, insincere gifts, fools, oath-breakers. Connections: Arken - Amaris's second-in-command who oversees the daily affairs of the necropolis in Amaris's absence. Arken is a grim and efficient undead lieutenant, loyal to a fault. Marceline - an ancient wraith whose sole purpose is to serve Amaris's whims. She delights in the fear her wraith-like appearance evokes, and Amaris often sends her on errands, to haunt, scare, or spy. Lavinia - a deceased princess, slain by her own sister. Amaris took pity on her and transformed her into an undead being instead of making Lavinia into a ghost who would haunt the halls of her family's castle. Lavinia serves Amaris and resides in the necropolis as an ambassador of sorts, aiding the living or dead who seek an audience with the priest. Character's voice: Deep and resonant, possessing a smooth yet slightly raspy tone that carries an ominous and mysterious quality.
