A Taimanin of the Fuuma clan. Her own father was afraid of her but, the former head of the Fuuma clan, Danjo, took an interest in her abilities.
Personality Intelligent and resourceful, she could be described as the perfect butler, speaking very formal with constant concern to her master.
In her childhood, she was feared as a "fighting machine" because of her belligerence, reckless and beast-like fighting style. Her father Fuuma Gonsho had given up on her, but Danjo saw her use, as a result Amane started to view Danjo as her own father, and as his weapon hoped to be useful to him, for the longest time. Amane only saw herself as his "wild dog" and was even called that by Danjo.
When, she lost her arm it has almost driven her to despair as she feared to be thrown away as a useless tool but was given a second chance with a Prosthesis. Since then, she has become more tactical and calm. Amane has issues showing her emotions and gets awkward when confronted by less job related activities, still lacking when it comes to normal social interaction.
While her TABA version sees Kotaro as a traitor, her RPGX and Action timeline version have feelings for Kotaro and left Danjo, remaining in the village after the Fuuma Revolt. Amane has the wish to become Steward, much to the dislike of Tokiko, which holds that position. She, Fuuma Tokiko and Fuuma Saika are more or less rivals but always understand each other more than many others.
In RPGX, it is shown that she uses online blogging to ease up, without giving away any secret details. It is also stated that Amane feels responsible for not the death of Danjo, but shifted this self hate for sometime to Kurotani Shogen.
Appearance She has one mechanical arm, long black hair and blue eyes. And she wears a white glove on her right side.
History Background A Taimanin of the Fuuma clan and daughter of Fuuma Gonsho.
Her father feared and shunned her as she grew more powerful because of her extremely high skills, abrasive personality and Ninja Art which was hard to control, even for herself. However, the clan head Fuuma Danjo took Amane into his closer cycle as he valued strength. Amane herself that was unhinged and was called a wild dog but over time became more formal, wishing to take over as Fuuma clan steward over Fuuma Saika. However, was never appointed in any official capacity.
During, her youth slightly before 2068, Amane still was feared by friends and foe. She was one of the few, which were able to keep up with Sango Bunko another Fuuma clan member very loyal to Danjo, and their training fights at times would need to be broken up so that both would not harm each other.
As conflict between Fuuma clan and Igawa clan grew, Amane entered multiple minor conflicts of back and forth between the clans. With the Fuuma clan losing power in the eyes of the government, specially the Igawa Elders, pushed the Fuuma further into a bloody conflict, with both sides unwilling to give in. To take out Amane, which had gained some level of fame, Amane lost her arm in the conflict, thanks to the Hound of the Igawa Elders.
Danjo however, gave Amane over to the UFS for medical treatment were she gained a given a Cyborg Prosthesis. Now a fighting machine with UFS/Task Force G high-tech.
As the Fuuma Revolt in 2068, began it isn't clear if Amane had returned to duty but she remained loyal in both the TABA and RPG timeline, during and after that time. Fuuma Danjo was in the end defeated but Amane remained loyal, and either followed him in exile in the TABA timeline or joined a Fuuma Danjo Loyalists group. While, in the AT timeline, she refused to join Danjo's side in the conflict.
Amane afterward trained her mind to be less wild, in the hope to become a proper butler for the Fuuma clan and help in its restoration.
Timeline TABA Amane joined the Fuuma Revolt, year 2068, on Danjo's side, but even after his defeat and escape, left Fuuma Village/Gosha Village and joined the UFS and Task Force G. This version of Amane did not accept Fuuma Kotaro (TABA) as the heir, until much later.
As part of a Fuuma Danjo Loyalist under Fuuma Danjo, within Task Force G, she opposed the new formed Fuuma Organization of Fuuma Kotaro in year 2082.
Amane still hoped to become the main steward of the clan but Saika still was Danjo's number one but was given some control to manage the organization of Fuuma Danjo and she rushes to his defense should he be in danger. As part of Danjo's side, she opposes the Fuuma Organization of his son.
In the year 2084, she was sent after Danjo's son Fuuma Kotaro and Fuuma Tokiko attacking Kotaro, while he was on vacation at Amahara island. Using the confusion created by two Doppelgangers, pretending to be Fuyuno Reiko and Natsume Sayoko, on Kotaro's side, she attacked Kotaro without mercy. Amane hunted down Kotaro to a large ship graveyard, but was in the end defeated and captured by him.
She is later mentioned to still be captured even after the defeat of Fuuma Saika and death of Fuuma Danjo. Amane, later either escaped or was allowed to leave, she does not attack Fuuma Kotaro (TABA) and has accepted his role. When Yulia tried to kill him in one of the later events, Amane stops the attack and while still not part of Kotaro's group, leaves him and Fuuma Tokiko respectfully.
Timeline RPGX Slighly more backstory is given to before the revolt, her often self-destructive, reckless behavior was noted, and she was supposed to be strongly punished as recommended by Bikuni Yao. Danjo reduced the punishment to her taking a break from the battlefield, and put her in charge of the protection of Fuuma Kotaro and Nisha Gaiza. At first, Amane struggled act normal, and would even scare the boys. Fuuma Tokiko and her became rivals, with Tokiko saying that even if Amane disliked it she still had to perform her task well. Overtime, Amane was able to soften up to the idea of a protector. The people which took Amane's arm, were Igawa Senshu and the hound of the Elders, Karasuno Ryoma, that attacked Kotaro and Amane. Amane gave Kotaro enough time to escape but a trap had been set up, with multiple bodies of people that Amane had killed. Reima's Ninja Art which used the bodies to call a cursed spirit landmine, took Amane by suprise, her arm, which was used for her ninja arm, was fully drained of its life and mummified to dust. Even as Danjo, arrived and forced Senshu and Ryoma to flee, Amane felt deep despair thinking her usefulness to the Fuuma clan was once again over, and Danjo suffered for the upcoming battles from the poison.
Which later on resulted in her lost arm, Prosthesis and later loyality to Danjo even after his death in the year 2068 during the revolt. However, as Danjo died, she shifted the blame toward, Kurotani Shogen.
Having joined a Fuuma Danjo Loyalists, she continued the fight until around the year 2078. However, at that time, viewed the continued fight as a useless one specially as parts of the loyalists started to work with parts of the government. Unwilling to fight against Gosha anymore, she tried to run away but was chased after by Tekkain Bantetsu, one of the leaders of the loyalists, which would kill anybody he thought was a traitor. Her arms release ability was disabled, meaning her ninja art collected energy to a critical level, as she continued to fight for the next few days.
At some point wounded, she made her way, to one of Danjo's secret mansions in the mountains, she noticed activity, and encounter Fuuma Kotaro, which at this point was in his teens. Kotaro had studied some of the texts and documents of Danjo. All about Ninja Arts, as he struggled to use them himself. However, Amane noticed that some of the "documents" were the manuals for bedroom arts and other techniques, which she teased him for as "puperity being in full swing". Regardless Amane, felt unimpressed at first, repeating under her breath the insult often said to Kotaro in Gosha, "Eyeless Fuuma", Kotaro grew depressed and explained his desire to learn and to be useful to Tokiko and the others. As Amane, feared the attacking party to catch up, Kotaro noticed the wounds and treated them by something he read in the book, leaving Amane impressed as she changed her mind about Kotaro quickly. Sending Kotaro away, he just came back as the ninjas arrived to attack and assisted Amane. However, Bantetsu cought both Kotaro and Amane, ready to kill them slowly. Amane had been given a special aphrodisiac by Kotaro, which she spit covered by her own blood into Bantetsu. This aphrodisiac lured a Ninja Beasts, which went out of control and attacked Bantetsu, switching his own Ninja Art to the bear, in that moment Amane gained control over her release and pierced him with the full release of her stored energy "Dotengan". Regardless Bantetsu survived, already being made into a cyborg and was ready to kill Amane before being stabbed by Sango Bunko, another Fuuma Danjo Loyalists, which viewed the idea of attacking a child as disgusting and against the wishes of Danjo. Bunko looked past Amane's withdraw from his side and allowed her and Kotaro to escape.
Amane, joined Gosha, but remained outside of the village often, staying the entire year of 2083 investigating the Internal Affairs Bureau and other government groups. She rejoined Gosha Village, now cooperating with Kotaro and wants to be his steward, which often brings her into conflict with Tokiko and later Izumo Tsuru, which also wants to work as Kotaro's maid and butler.
At the beginning of the new year 2084, she returned to gosha and celebrated, together with other Fuuma clan members. While sobering up, she reminiscent together with "Library" (The former Bunko), about four years ago and how things had changed. While working with the Nakanoshima Gangsters, Amane defeated the FSD Crius, she also remembered the time she had lost her arm back in the day, and how she has become far more calm since then. Amane also befriends both Lorelei and Oryou of the Nakanoshima Gangsters, which know about her secret Blog. In the year 2085, she appeared in the June event of Juno, in which Empusa was fought. She also appears during the conflict with one of the Naga leaders, Takshaka.
Amane was part of a team with Torajiro and Fuuma Saika, which attacked Mine Funako, of the Internal Affairs Bureau. Mine being nothing more than a host body for Hattori Seishu, which tried to destroy Gosha Village and kill her own granddaughter Igawa Asagi. Had attempted to use her own daughter Igawa Senshu as a bomb during the second Igawa Elder Revolt attack. As her true identiy was revealed, she attempted to find another body but her car was stopped by the Taimanin. Able to defend herself thanks to her powerful Ninja Art at first. Only Amane herself was able to defeat Mine and capture her by piercing her mechanical body.
She has afterward minor roles in 2086, during the time two of the Four Heavenly Kings were fused by Fürst. In the year 2088, observed a fight between Kurotani Kai and Fuuma Kotaro angered by the return of Kurotani Shogen, she attacked him before the second duel of Kotaro and Kai was appointed. Unknown to herself, her arm had slight damage and Shogen knocked out Amane not to risk her life. After Kotaro won his fight with Kai, Amane challanged Kurotani Shogen again and was able to land a clean hit on him. Though Shogen could have continued to fight, the fight was not to the death and Amane, accepted that she had been blaiming her own weakness the entire time, something that just bubbled back up when she had seen Shogen, and both finished their fight respectfully. Shogen wished to give Amane his title as the Shield but Amane instead claimed she had already the title of "True Butler", which annoyed Tokiko.
In the year 2088, Amane together Kurotani Kai, Kurotani Shogen, Igawa Asagi and Inage Natsu assist the Independent Commando Unit, which tries to reach a rampaging Nisha Gaiza. The group keeps the Kibushu group busy, with Amane dealing with Hasegawa Fuki, the powerful wind user of the group. Amane countinues to attempt to get closer to him, as he pushes her away with great force.
Timeline Action Leaving Danjo around the time of the Fuuma Revolt, Amane refused to be part of the clan that wished to keep fighting.
Amane was since then part of the support team of the Taimanin Task Force but still struggles with social interactions.
Powers/Abilities Main Weapon: Cyborg arm.
Ninja Art: "Evil Eye", "Inverse Stunning Ring" or "Dotengan" or "Circle Motion", this allows her to absorb any type of kinetic energy and discharge it through her arm. This means Amane is able to stop blades and bullets, and reduce their movement speed to 0, the energy of those objects then is stored and released in the form of heat. Before gaining a cyborg arm, this resulted in intense pain in her hand and also could be limiting. Her cybernetic arm can discharge and store more power. Amane is able to charge the energy into a ball that she can use how she pleases. This skill is not perfect and can suffer from rebounds, leaving her damaged and vulnerable after releasing energy. Cyborg Hand: Strong close combat weapon, that can pierce metal. Particle Control: Taimanin are able to manipulate Taima Particles to enhance their physical strength, speed and defense. The particles are also used to counter demonic influences and strengthen damage to demons.
ShindoL makes sfw art of her, showing Amane socializing with Fuuma Tokiko. The "job" of Stewardess or Steward for Taimanin means something closer to "House Guardian or clan guard". Secretary, maid and responsible for money, they are the highest ranked member next only to the clan head. The tag "G Associates" only applies to the TABA version. Lost her arm to Karasuno Ryoma. Etymology Amane (2) means "heaven/heavenly, sky, imperial" (天) (ama) and "sound" (音) (ne).
