She has slightly, wavy shoulder-length light brown hair, pulled back by a light mint green kerchief, mint green eyes and thick brown eyebrows. She has a light mint green apron with a front pocket (later two) and frills at the trims. She wears the "Red Armband of Leadership" with a resemblance of a cupcake on her left arm. If the Cooking Club is disbanded, Amai will remove her armband and apron for the rest of the game.

When outside of school, Amai wears cute, girly, and feminine clothing.

Amai is the president of the school's cooking club. Her culinary skills are far beyond her age, and nothing makes her happier than seeing people enjoy the food that she has prepared.

Amai will be absent from school during the first week of gameplay, but she will meet Senpai immediately after the events of Week 1, at a point in time when Senpai is feeling sad and vulnerable. She will quickly forge a bond with him, during a point in time when Senpai deeply needs a new friend.

With her kind and caring nature, it's easy to see how Senpai could easily fall for her within a week's time. If nobody stands in her way, Senpai will belong to her in no time at all. Remember: the fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach!

Among the personas that are currently implemented, Amai is Lovestruck. If she witnesses a murder, she will run to Taro Yamada and inform him that Ayano Aishi is the murderer, which causes an automatic Game Over. She will happily pose for the camera if Ayano aims her phone's camera at her face.

In Mission Mode, Amai is a Social Butterfly. If she witnesses a murder or sees a corpse, she will run to the nearest populated area and call the police. If Ayano approaches, she will scream for her to go away, and if Ayano commits another murder in her eyesight, she will curl into a ball.

She is a very friendly club leader who tries to focus on the positive aspects instead of the negative ones in people. As a result, most of her thoughts are positive and related to food. In unfamiliar situations, she can be shy, such as during her confession under the cherry blossom tree. She is also someone who never uses profanity.

Amai's embarrassing secret is that she once secretly spat on the food of a rude customer.

Amai is a gentle-spoken girl who wants to see a smile on the face of everyone around her and is always very polite, even if others say or do something that bothers her. She is also very kind and generous, offering to listen to Taro's woes and even offering him pastries, even though they had never interacted before. As a girl who has never dated, Amai is extremely worried about spending her whole life without experiencing love and wants a boyfriend who cares deeply about her. Notably, she prefers cuter and more elegant compliments than vulgar ones. According to herself, she was once extremely addicted to anime and video games, spending 24 hours a day on these activities; she eventually realized her lifestyle and became worried about wasting her life, so she completely cut video games and anime from her life, according to her, she is happy about it.

Despite her kind and caring personality, Amai is not dumb and is wary of suspicious people and even criticizes them, like Rei Ando and the Occult Club members, she even shares her distrust of Rei with her mother and most trusted friends in a private blog, saying that she's plotting something, and even publicly shares her negative opinion about the Occult Club and the practices of the members of that club. But due to her hatred and fear of spreading gossip, she rarely states her suspicions as an accusation and almost always ends up saying something to ease the situation, probably to avoid generating future conflicts. Seeing her diary (which has been removed from the game), it is shown that she harbors a huge resentment towards Rei.

Although inexperienced with romance, it is explicit that Amai is somewhat bold and even persuasive, exhibiting a very confident demeanor to win someone's heart. This is shown when she displays her full interest in wooing Taro, not minding saying things that make it obvious that she desires him, she also doesn't mind flirting with him in front of her club members and is very good at convincing him to join the Cooking Club and win him over, going so far as to give him free pastries, sew a new apron for him and even schedule a picnic with him at a reserved location. Unlike Osana, she doesn't seem to care at all about chasing Taro romantically, not caring if she comes off as desperate or not. During her confession, she said she was doing everything in her power to win his heart.

Amai cares deeply about her family, seeing them as the most valuable thing to her; she sees her parents as her heroes and even calls her mother "the kitchen goddess"; she is also very afraid of disappointing them. Despite being a pacifist, protecting her family would be the only reason Amai would willingly take a human life, not minding sacrificing even her own life. This can be confirmed in the October 2017 Progress Report video, where Amai is shown as a murderer in a possible elimination method called "drive to murder," showing her disturbingly bloody, indicating that, under the right circumstances, Amai would indeed be capable of resorting to violence and murder if it were for the good of her family. When Amai was 13 years old, she possessed almost all the characteristics of her current self, however, it is explicit that she was very childish and immature, as she secretly spat in the food of a customer who was rude to her mother and bragged about it on the internet, describing the situation as "deserved and funny." Amai's love for her family and bakery is so much that she could be provoked/manipulated into murdering the person she believes is responsible for damaging/destroying her family's bakery.

In contrast to her old personality from five years ago, Amai is very mature and responsible and is committed to her duties to her family's bakery and club, going so far as to prioritize the quality of the food above all else, such as not adopting a cat so as not to risk fur contaminating the food her family prepares, despite her wanting a pet cat very much. The reason why Amai has never dated before is because she was busy helping with her family's bakery. According to Shoku Tsuburaya, she is very busy. Amai loves cooking, unable to imagine anything she would be more passionate about than food. The only professions she would pursue if she couldn't be a cook are artist and gardener because, for her, cooking is art and growing plants is similar to preparing food. According to her, her brain is for food.

If Amai saw the bullies bullying a student, she would intervene and tell the bullies to stop.

She is someone who can easily make friends due to her extremely friendly personality.

Amai does have other interests and hobbies besides food. However, it is a big part of her home life and her club at school that the topic of food preparation often becomes the theme in her interactions/conversations.

Amai has a pet hamster named Ham-Ham.

Amai has a sister.

She watches cooking videos.

Amai's favourite food is a unique pastry that her mother prepares. While it doesn't look impressive, the taste is what makes it Amai's favourite. The taste is also nostalgic, reminding Amai of her early childhood.

Relationships Taro Yamada On the Saturday of Week 1, Amai was heading to the Odayaka bakery when she noticed that Taro was feeling sad and alone on a bench at the bus stop. Showing concern for him, Amai asks Taro to tell her what was wrong. He tells her that his childhood friend had died, disappeared, been arrested for murder, been expelled, committed suicide, stopped attending Akademi, was rejected by him, already has a boyfriend, or doesn't seem interested in spending time with him anymore, depending on the player's actions. Amai is aware of Taro's existence, since she attended Akademi for a year and has seen him around.

Amai offers Taro a cupcake as comfort, which he graciously accepts and enjoys. Amai, still concerned, offers to take him to her family's bakery. At first, Taro refuses due to not wanting to bother her but goes after Amai insists. At the Odayaka bakery, Amai continues to comfort Taro, talking to him and making him laugh. This interaction initiates the start of their bond.

Like most rivals, Amai has a crush on Taro and will confess her feelings to him on the Friday of Week 2.

If Taro entered a relationship with her, she would convince him to join the Cooking Club.

She often compliments their food, and when they ask for advice, she provides them with suggestions on how to improve or prepare their dishes better.

Shoku Tsuburaya: Amai fully trusts Shoku to run the cooking club while she is away, Shoku has a crush on Amai and wants to find out everything about her to have a chance to win her heart. Although she trusts him with such responsibility, it is not known for sure how close they are, as Shoku does not have any of Amai's social media usernames and has no knowledge of her personal life. Amai probably chose Shoku to operate her club more for professional reasons than personal ones, as Shoku is a connoisseur of good food with a refined palate, so she probably chose him because, of all the members of the Cooking Club, he was indeed the most competent. Shoku is Amai's suitor, and Ayano can match her with him to eliminate Amai. Family Family Amai loves her mother and helps her out at her bakery. She also loves her father.

According to one of her Sai-Press posts, she is revealed to have an older sister, Satoko, who she also loves. This makes Amai the second and youngest child of the Odayaka family. Satoko is more energetic and playful than her younger sister, but they have a positive relationship.

If the Odayaka bakery burned down with her family inside, Amai would be extremely traumatized and upset about their deaths.

Others Info-chan: During Amai's introduction cutscene, Info-chan tells Ayano to make Amai suffer, the same as with Osana Najimi. Her reasoning for doing this is unknown. Rei Ando: Amai suspects the owners of the bakery of sabotaging her family bakery using rats, this is later confirmed to be true and that one of the owners was in fact trying to eliminate her competition. YandereDev imagines that if the decapitated woman in Amai's driven to murder illustration was drawn in 2024, it would've been Rei. Uekiya Engeika: If Amai and Uekiya ever interacted, it would be humorous. Akane Toriyasu: If Akane was part of the cooking club, both girls would get along. Her Pet: has a pet hamster named Ham-Ham. Oka Ruto: Despite Oka's weird interests and inability to socialize, Amai would be willing to be friends with her, alongside Asu Rito and Hanako Yamada. Umeji Kizuguchi: Umeji would like to be friends with Amai.
