The Chipmunks: Alvin Seville (voiced by Justin Long): The leader and oldest brother of the Chipmunks/Seville Brothers, Alvin is the talented troublemaker of the group, and is Charlene's love interest. His theme color is red. Alvin is charming, carefree, musical, adventurous and free-spirited. He always seems to come up with crazy schemes to accomplish whatever his goal at the time is; whether it be trying to help his brothers, gaining fame, popularity or attention, getting wealthy, keeping Dave from finding out what mischief he's up to, getting out of a sticky situation. Simon is very against it and motivates him to do the right thing. Alvin can be very impulsive to the point when things get out of line. He also can be arrogant. People around him, find it really bothersome, especially Dave. Other times Alvin's determination can be viewed as disrespectful. This can all be a constant habit as he has gotten his brothers or himself in trouble at times. But despite all this Alvin does care a lot about his brothers and when he goes too far he apologizes and sets things right for his family, friends and loved ones. Unlike Dave who is their manager of the band, mostly he doesn't act like their manager or even made an effort, Alvin is the one who acts like the manager and willing to help the band do good. Alvin is known to be very mischievous and likes to fool around at inappropriate moments. He always drives Dave crazy with his antics to the point that it spurned his catchphrase "AAAAAAALVINNNN!!!!!". However, Alvin can be very serious if he wants to. Despite his stubbornness and bad-boy personality, Alvin genuinely cared for his family and friends and will try to save them when they’re in trouble. He is charming, hilarious and wild but brash, surly, and rebellious. However, he is never callous to his fans or brothers. His hobbies include skating, surfing, playing guitar, video games and doing any sports. Andy is arguably the most rebellious of the six, as he always seems to be causing chaos in one way or another, even going as far as to join a pirate crew to get back at his family for not listening to his stories. While all the brothers possess some form of selfishness, Andy is the most self-centered, being the singer to his own theme song and playing by no one's rules but his own. Despite this, Simon can get into squabbles with his brothers, especially Alvin. He sometimes thinks he knows better than Dave whenever he talks back to him. He can be sarcastic at times; as he has a dry sense of humor when it comes to jokes and other things. Simon is a science fiction enthusiast, indulging in sci-fi books, movies, and TV shows in his free time. His own brother Alvin has called him nerdy, yet he is proud of it. Sawyer is down-to-earth and loves being a chipmunk. He is a chipmunk of logic and rational explanation. Charlene is never afraid of a challenge and never backs down. Although ultimately kind, she is often seen as a troublemaker in the group, and arguably the most aggressive. She has a strong belief that the concepts of fate and coincidence are somehow mysteriously linked together, which makes her possess a morally grey and persevering character than her sisters when it comes to taking over the world, and she is usually the last to give up trying to get something when the girls want anything. Webby is the 'evil sister' among the girls and cares the most about impressing boys, as well as having selfish desires of power and money sometimes. However, she is shown to be kind and considerate when it counts and she learns that having money and power isn't all it's cracked up to be. Charlene has the quickest wit of the group and often leads the group into trouble. She tends to think outside the box and do things differently. She is a diva/valley girl as well as a fashionista and a drama queen, and has interests in fashion, designing, dressing up, parties, antiquing, social media, and cute and pretty things. However, she does have a heart of gold. She is secretly a closet nerd who loves anime, manga, cartoons and video games. She has a temper just like Alvin, and is extremely protective of her friends and family (especially her sisters). Brittany Miller (voiced by Crystal Scales): Brittany, the co-leader and second oldest sister of the Chipettes, is Alvin's counterpart and Andy's love interest. Her theme color is pink. Brittany is the feisty sister of the Chipettes, who loves the color pink. Brittany is determined towards any goal to get the spotlight to make herself famous, but always learns that her sisters must come first. At times, Brittany has been shown to be quite impulsive. However, she drives toward any goal she has set with complete determination, stopping just short of ruthlessness. During the series Brittany is a very bubbly and sociable character, she tends to be quite sassy, stubborn, and selfish, but is fairly a very caring and nice girl through, as the series progresses she is depicted as domineering and as somewhat untrustworthy. Brittany sometimes has trouble to admit her mistakes. Her sisters demand that she admits her mistake. However as she was trying to admit it, she was unable to say the full sentence, instead changing the subject. However despite her flaws, she still is nice as she was from the start of the series. She is a lot friendlier and courteous, making it easier for others to approach her. She is nicer and has better control over her temper then Alvin does, though it is still a bit shorter than most. She's a trendsetter and aspiring fashion designer, often sketching new outfit ideas for herself and her sisters. Her room is a mini fashion studio filled with fabrics, mannequins, and sewing machines. She also likes being on the acrobatics, cheerleading and gymnastics teams, and takes drama and history classes. She is an excellent computer hacker, a tech whiz and an 'all work and no play' type of girl. She loves documentaries as well as romantic comedies. She's a nice kid, but if you push the right buttons, you better watch out. Jocelyn's fascination with technology extends to her inventive side. Erika Miller (voiced by Zooey Deschanel): Erika is the second youngest sister of the Chipettes, Eleanor's older twin sister, Darryl's counterpart, and Theodore's love interest. Her theme color is earthy brown. Erika is an artistic and creative but athletic young chipmunk with a passion for storytelling. She possesses a unique ability like a special connection to arts, nature and animals. She also acts as the peacemaker within the group, bringing balance and harmony. She is gentle, carefree, laid-back, and notices things others miss easily, showing a particularly creative thinking. Erika is not very loud and disobedient like her sisters. Eleanor can easily stand up to others when people do her wrong and she seems to like all kinds of food. She is the cutest and most bravest and strong-willed of her sisters, as she will do anything to protect her family and friends, always do what's right, and reason with others to do the same. She sometimes has a much softer and immature side to her personality; she acts almost exactly like Theodore and seems extremely innocent. She can be interested in fashion, but likes to design and make clothes that perfectly balance stylish and comfortable. She is also interested in math puzzles, mechanics, experimenting, mysteries and horror movies.
