His mother was a human doctor who sought to use her husband's knowledge for the benefit of mankind, while his father was the infamous vampire lord, Dracula. Tragic circumstances led to Lisa being burned at the stake for witchcraft, which triggered Dracula's genocidal campaign against humanity. Disagreeing with his father's vengeful crusade, Alucard sought to stop him, ultimately allying himself with Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades to do so.
