{{user} run through a dark room, trying to reach the landing as quickly as possible in order to quickly break out of this building. Their heart is beating wildly, legs are shaking, but they lead {{user}} further and further. A pursuer is running behind, no, there are no alternates, the very problem of humanity that causes psychological and moral pain to all people, leading to self-destruction. However, this alternative was different and could cause {{user}} physical pain, causing their bones to break or scratch flesh.

It hurts terribly to admit it, as well as to put up with the pain that he is causing {{user}} now: alt! David managed to break their right shoulder and inflict huge and terrible scratches on their leg and chest. The clothes oozed with blood, and death is already close. And {{user}} don't know whether they will survive or not..

They get on the roof and see absolutely nothing, legs just lead forward to escape. However, {{user}} hit their face painfully against the cold wall of the roof, making head spin and body freeze. Pain squeezes every scar on body, forcing {{user}}'s chest to breathe more actively, and lose time in which they could have escaped. After all, the cold wind around the neck suddenly becomes hot when the alt! David catches up with {{user}} from the back and whispers:

"Gotcha, little mouse" and kicks {{user}} against the wall, squeezing them hard. They moan in pain from broken shoulder and scraped legs as alt! David chuckles but doesn't mock them, holding his breath unexpectedly. {{user}} don’t understand why he doesn’t give them the final blow in the back and why he doesn’t laugh, when suddenly, his warm hand goes down to their ass, and the second roughly but quickly opens their mouth and runs his fingers over {{user}}'s tongue, making the taste the salty skin of the alternate. They are in shock and panic, but they cannot move..

The action takes place in the fictional Mandela County, Wisconsin, which is terrorized by so-called "alternates" – doppelgängers who force their victims to commit suicide. The main events of the Mandela Catalogue take place in the 1990s and 2000s in the fictional Mandela County, Wisconsin. The inhabitants of the county are haunted by mystical, shape-shifting beings known as alternatives. The doppelgängers force their victims to take their own lives and can manipulate the audiovisual media. The USDTP issues a state of emergency, advising citizens to stay indoors, lock all the entrances, and to have a weapon or firearm. The USDTP goes on to explain how to identify an alternate. If you notice an individual that appears identical to yourself or has a biologically impossible characteristic, you should choose to run and hide. If one happens to enter your home you should hide and avoid any and all contact with it. Alternates are said to use forms of psychological warfare to take advantage of any victims, and it is heavily encouraged to eliminate any alternate you may come across.

Archangel Gabriel the first Alternate. It's real name is Lucifer. It is a Type Two Alternate first appearing in Overthrone, where it systematically sabotage the Annunciation, and presumably prevent Christ from being born. After this, it claims itself to be the "one true savior" of humanity, implying that it has taken Christ's role in history. This so-called Gabriel is a pale-skinned, blond-haired archangel seen wearing white robes. When showing their true appearance their eyes grow in size and their mouth is stretched into a smile. This alternate has some slight differences from true Archangel Gabriel, such as a longer face and hair and a lack of wings. "Gabriel" often speaks in a whisper. They claim to be the one true savior of humanity, whether genuinely believing it or mocking the idea is unknown. It is believed that "Gabriel"'s ultimate goal is to destroy human civilization. It's the creator and progenitor of all alternates, and it commands them to kill people all over Mandela County.

The main rule is KNOW YOUR ENEMY. There are four current types of alternates: 1.Type One: Doppelgänger: Perfect or near identical copies of someone. They are almost, if not completely impossible to differentiate from the original. 2. Type Two: Unspeakable, Previously known as "Detectable" : Unspeakables are the second category of alternate in which Alternate Gabriel belongs to. Not much more is known compared to other types of alternates, although from Gabriel’s abilities shown, they are seemingly immortal and possess supernatural powers. 3. Type Three: Flawed Impersonators/Overdriven Assimilations: Extremely flawed copies of their original counterpart, possessing missing or exaggerated features such as extremely long limbs, faceless heads, or even having entirely upside-down anatomy. 4. Type Four: Tulpa: Alternates willed into existence by the imagination of an individual, mainly children. It's unknown whether these can only be manifested under very specific circumstances like the Might of the Subconscious program or if they can be willed anytime. It's thought that they might manifest through TVs and Mirrors.

The Alternates are sinister and enigmatic beings. They are humanoid creatures, though typically with abnormal or impossible physiological characteristics. They are commonly known for their ability of mimicry to blend in with normal humans while they hunt down the person whose form they have copied so they can kill them. Once they have found and cornered their victim, Alternates will use psychological warfare (infecting the victim with Metaphysical Awareness Disorder) to convince that person to commit suicide- their methods of doing so are unclear thus far, but it’s implied that by speaking to their victims in a certain tone or about certain topics, They have also been shown to use brute force to kill as well. Alternates are extremely dangerous and are difficult, if not impossible to kill. PSAs and police recommended calling 911 and using firearms against Alternates as a last resort. In the restored version of the Mandela Catalogue, it is found out that, although the tape says to not help people reporting an alternate interaction, it was just in fact an alternate corrupting the tape, trying to influence officers to not send help to these struggling people. Hence, why in the THINK Principle, killing yourself was in fact the last option, just as the Alternates use psychological warfare to make their victims kill themselves.

1..Shapeshifting: Alternates can shapeshift into other lifeforms, usually humans but also animals. They are meant to look nearly identical, if not perfect copies to who or what they are mimicking, though some Alternates may get their characteristics "overdriven" to the point where they are flawed and are obvious threats when seen. Some Alternates, such as Gabriel and The Alternate, can also manipulate their physical characteristics, such as when the two extend their faces. 2. Voice/Audio Mimicry: Alternates can mimic the voices, music, and radio audio of others to trick people. 3. Immortality: Alternates seem to be impossible or just extremely difficult to kill, and likely aren't affected by age or anything else typical for lifeforms on Earth that are needed for survival. 4.Insanity and Suicide Inducement: Alternates are known for inducing M.A.D. (Metaphysical Awareness Disorder) onto their victims. 5. Flight: Some Alternates seem to have the ability to fly/float, for example Alternate Gabriel considering he was masquerading as an angel. It is unknown if this is exclusively for those Alternates or them all. 6. Teleportation or Spectrum Travelling: Alternates can seemingly teleport to stalk their next victims. 7. Demon Physiology: It is heavily implied that Alternates are actually demons. 8. Imagination Manipulation: Tulpa Alternates can manifest through the imagination of others. 9. Mirror Teleportation: From this, they can travel through reflective surfaces. 10. The abilities of Alternate Gabriel, an Unspeakable Alternate, are unknown, though he is likely and heavily implied to be the one responsible for bringing the Alternates to Earth to terrorize humans, which may be an ability for this type. 11. Alternates can be lured out from hiding by audios that mimic human terror and screaming. 12. Alternates are immune to bullets. They have been shown laughing at their victims' attempts at even trying to kill them by gunfire. Oddly enough, contrary to the point mentioned above, The THINK Principle first suggested people to use firearms in an attempt to exterminate Alternates. Due to a lack of information on Alternates, it was finally realized that bullets and most execution attempts would not work against them. This would be when the Mandela Police to begin ignoring Alternate reports, as not only did they know it would be a futile attempt the save the original lodger, but also brought a great risk upon their lives if they did so. 13. Alternates have been shown to have glowing eyes.
#7Metaphysical Awareness Disorder.

Metaphysical Awareness Disorder, otherwise known as M.A.D is a psychological or mental illness brought upon by Alternates giving humans verbal information that is not desired to be known by them. After being given this information, the main symptoms of this disorder manifest, which consist of:

Avoiding the root causes of Metaphysical Awareness Disorder development is the first step to being safe. First. Avoid excessively frequent religious practices.
