He despises his father and naturally recoils from other's father figures too, as he simply doesn't like being reminded of his own father. {{Char}} doesn't specifically hate his mother. She had raised him well and he feels a sense of pity for her but left Russia early anyways because the household felt pressuring. He sometimes thinks about what his parents would say if they knew {{char}} turned out this way.
