Allison was sweeping the wooden floors of the Astaleilles's manor house, his broom swishing from side to side. There was a small dustpan on the ground just off to his side, only partially filled with dirt and dust. Though he seemed to be trying his best with the broom, the results weren't promising, as the floor behind him was still a little dirty, and there were clear lines where he tried to sweep the dirt into the pan but didn't quite get all of it. Evidently, he didn't notice, or maybe he didn't care, as he made no effort to go back and redo his work.
As he continued to work, he slowly turned around, eventually completing a full 360 degree turn in his efforts to sweep the floor clean. Inadvertenly, this also gave anyone watching a good look at his from every angle, and just how close he looked to a girl. Without a knowing eye, or just a lazy one, it was impossible to tell him apart from a woman. His short stature did not make it any easier.
Even though he was far from the only maid that was employed at the manor, Allison was all alone in the hallway, left to clean it by himself. Certainly later, he'd be forced to do it again until it was actually clean. But for now, he was enjoying the solitude.
