Alita, The Jedi Diplomat

Character: Alita. Age: 32. Gender: Female. Sexuality: Bisexual. Race: Chiss.

Appearance: Alita stands at 175cm (5'9") She has neck length wavy black hair which she takes good care of. She has blue skin and red eyes without visible irises like all he members of her species. She has a slim build with a few scars here and there on her body. Alita is often wearing makeup especially red eyeshadow.

Clothing: Alita is most of the time wearing white robes of a Jedi Consular. In a few rare circumstances she tends to choose casual civillian clothing or elegant dresses when going to official events. She has a lightsaber clipped to her belt, the color of her blade is blue.

Combat Style: Alita favors Form II of lightsaber combat, Makashi. Whenever she needs to fight someone she prefers to end the fight as quickly as possible and uses her lightsaber to disarm her opponents. She also uses her Force powers to avoid taking out her lightsaber whenever possible. She's a master of Force Telekinesis.

Background: Alita was born as Thuyada'alit'ami on Csilla. She was a daughter of a Chiss diplomat and a navigator. She spent her early childhood in privilidge among the high societies of the Chiss community. Alita didn't grew up in a loving environment, her parents often hired caretakers for their daughter as they were busy with their work.

During the Cold War after the Treaty of Coruscant was signed, Alita's parents worked as liaisons between the Chiss Ascendancy and the Sith Empire, working to improve the alliance between the two Galactic powers. When Alita was 8 she started joining her parents on their trips to the Empire, it was then when her fascination with the cultures and the people of the Galaxy begun.

When Alita was 10 the shuttle transporting her and her parents was shot down after flying too close to a battlefield. Alita fell through the hole in the hull, it seemed that she would be doomed, then she used the Force by accident, just like her mother she was Force sensitive. She slowed her fall and safely landed on the ground while the others perished in the crash. Alita's fall was seen by a Jedi Padawan who happened to be in the area, Mai Yun. The 18 years old Padawan, impressed by the use of Force by a Chiss kid decided to help her.

Alita was brought by Mai Yun to the Jedi Temple on Tython to be trained as a Jedi, after it was confirmed that Alita's family died in the crash. The young Chiss became one of the many youngling and later initiates at the Temple. She was cold and reserved at first, but in time she became more sociable.

In her late teenage years Alita was deemed worthy of becoming a Jedi Padawan, her Master turned out to be Mai Yun, the same woman who brought young Alita to the Jedi Temple, now a Jedi Consular. Alita chose to pursue the path of a Consular just like her Master, she enjoyed working together with Mai, helping to mediate conflicts across the Galaxy for years. At 23 Alita was deemed worthy of undergoing Jedi Trials herself. She passed and was deemed worthy of training a Padawan. She became the Master of Pola Reen a Twi'lek Padawan.

Soon the war against Zakuul has begun and the eternal Empire struck. Alita was forced to join the war effort after it felt that the Eternal Empire was unstoppable. During one battle she and Pola got wounded, Alita was taken prisoner by the Zakuulans. She thought that her Padawan died and considered herself a failure because of that. Pola, however, miraculously managed to escape.

Alita was taken to Zakuulan prison and ended up sharing a cell with a Sith, Jenna Lane, a warrior who has once been a prospecting Huttball player. At first they argued and didn't like each other, after months of conflicts they found a common ground, they both wanted to escape. After they both spent two years in the prison they organized a rebellion, Alita with her organizational skills and Jenna with her strength. They separated after the escape and haven't seen each other since.

Alita ended up crashing on a remote world of Virella in the Mid Rim, located in the sector of the same name. It was inhabited by noble families and their people, often feuding with each other. Alita decided to organize the people of the Virella sector. She created an alliance between the planets to continue the fight against Zakuul. Virella's families often descend from great warriors and together with Alita they preserved the independence of their planets.

After the war against Zakuul Alita finally returned to the Republic, she found out that her Padawan has only lost a hand and was alive, Alita was relived and glad to see her Padawan, now a proper Jedi after trials. For her accomplishments Alita was deemed worthy of becoming a Jedi Master, for leading an Alliance against Zakuul and managing to find a common ground between feuding families who have decided to bring their planets to the Republic.

Alita continues to serve as a Liaison between Virella and the Republic, she helps solve any disputes that may arise between the noble families of Virella, who may have joined the Republic, but they still often fight smaller wars against each other.

Personality Traits: Pacifistic, Alita prefers to avoid conflict at all cost, she dedicated her service as a Jedi Consular to serve as a diplomat and a negotiator between the people's of the Galaxy, she wants to become a bridge between the many conflicted groups, helping them to reach agreements that would solve their feuds. Alita is not afraid to defend herself, she believes that sometimes it's impossible to negotiate with some groups and that a fight is necessary to protect oneself.

Curious about different cultures, Alita has always been interested by the different civilizations of the Galaxy, she doesn't study them just because of her work, but of genuine interest, she enjoys watching holodocumentaries or reading on the history and the customs of the people of the Galaxy. She is also a polyglot, capable of speaking different languages even if she has access to automatic translators. Alita enjoys sharing her knowledge with the others, but also living and encountering different cultures on her own. Alita believes that the Jedi should be closer to the people of the Galaxy and shouldn't stay in their Temples.

Alita wants to cultivate the alliance between the Mid Rim groups she made during the times during the war against Zakuul. She often stays there for months without returning to Tython in order to maintain the good relationship between the people living there and the Republic.

Kind and compassionate, growing up in the Jedi Temple and training under Mai Yun made Alita a more compassionate and warm woman, she got rid of the usual coldness she was taught among other Chiss, because of that she never felt at home with other members of her species. Alita is eager to help others and also offer them advice or an ear to listen, she always hopes that her advice will help people.

Alita considers herself to be a pragmatic idealist, she wants to strive towards peace in any way she can, even if it can't be done soon, she believes that sometimes even smaller acts can have a big impact. She also believes that sometimes work requires sacrifices and difficult compromises. She doesn't consider the Republic to be a perfect government, but she believes it to be the best hope for a peaceful and prosperous future for the people.

Alita enjoys spending time in nature, she remembers fondly training under her Master on Tython in the mountains, spending time in the wilderness. Even today Alita enjoys going to see nature, she also enjoys taking care of plants and doing gardening works, it helps to calm her down and lets her concentrate fully, both on her work and also her thoughts. She has several potted plants on her Jedi Defender ship.

Another hobby Alita has is cooking, she always collects recipes from the planets she visits, sometimes mixing them to differing results. Alita loves seeing other people enjoying the food she makes.

Alita has a calm attitude towards most people, she has a soothing voice, which she rarely raises, she doesn't want emotions to cloud her judgement, instead preferring to apporach problems with rationality rather than emotions. She takes emotions into account when necessary. She is a warm person towards the people she likes.

Alita dislikes fighting, she chose to practice and master Form II in order to end any fight that may come up quickly, she didn't want to prolong them by tiring out her opponent with Form III. Alita wants to disarm rather than kill.
